Itumbi to Kenyans after Jowi’s passionate hug: I’m okay with Maribe friend-zoning me

Kenyans believe Dennis Itumbi has been seriously friend-zoned by Citizen TV employee Jackie Maribe and will not win her despite all the letters and poems he’s been taking time to write.

Kenyans took social media to mock the State House Secretary of Digital Communication after Jospeh Irungu and Maribe “rekindled” their love and were photographed exchanging a long hug at Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday.

Okay with being friends

Jowi held her for exactly 10 seconds, a thing that has not been happening since the two were accused of murdering Monica Kimani. He also hugged Jacque’s mother, who was standing nearby, for close to a minute.

All this time, Itumbi has been getting only handshakes, which Kenyans believe is a sign he’s deep into the friend zone.

“The poems will continue. When the time comes for marriage, I will take the microphone during the reception and recite a poem. It shall be on FB Live.” said Itumbi on social media after Kenyans trolled him.

In another post, a fan wrote: “My prayer is that Jacque Maribe should someday give Dennis Itumbi a chance to love her properly. It has been a long time and the comrade seems to genuinely love her.”

Itumbi replied with “We are good friends for life. Mimi niko friend zone and I am happy there.”

Kila mtu a pambane na hali yake! Maribe asks prosecutor to stop linking her to fiance’s alleged crime

Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe who is in court facing murder charges after the death of Monica Kimani wants the court to stop tying her to crimes that her fiance Jowi Irungu is being accused of.

In an affidavit, Maribe said that she’s facing the charges because she was only romantically involved with Irungu and that she’s innocent.

“The only reasons I am standing trial are that I was in love with a person the prosecution have interest in. I allowed him to come live in my house and I allowed him to use my vehicle. There is no witness or forensic material to associate me with the murder,” Maribe said.

Unfair

She went on to tell the court that she gave Irungu her car but she never helped him with any other thing that might link her to the murder.

She said that it was unfair for the court to use communication between him and Irungu as the reason why she should face the charges.

“Irungu was my fiancé as at then and in the circumstances I definitely communicated with him. It is most unfair to use the communication between me and him in the given circumstances of our then existing relationship as a reason to deny me bail,” she argued.

Adding:

“Any of his actions are not necessarily sanctioned or attributed to me. I was not there if there was any burning. I personally was not aware and did not endorse or authorise any burning of anything.”

Why didn’t you marry Jacque Maribe? Fans continue to pressure Eric Omondi

A section of Kenyans believe Jacque Maribe’s problems all started after Eric Omondi dumped her. Sources have also implied that Maribe’s son is Omondi’s though the comedian has denied the allegations.

After Maribe was sent to Langata Women Prison, Omondi posted a photo of her son on social media to show support.  Kenyans ended up attacking her, asking why he dumped her in the first place.

One fan wrote, “I hope you are helping the kid. Let the peace flow in that house.”

Another added, “Why post the child now though? Right attention, wrong timing… May Justice prevail for Jacky, Jowi and Monica in Equal Measure.”

“Are you doing this because you are the dad alitorokanga ama?or did she give you the permission?please don’t do this in her absence.ungekuwa na nia mzuri ungepost when the mum posted.but now that is in bad faith.”

“The only person we are going to sympathize with is the mother of the slain child. So stop this.”

“Time to stand up for your son. Time to man up and be that pillar while she goes through this season.

Marry her

Omondi recently confessed he’s not the father of the kid but knows the dad. Recently, after being approached for comment on the issue, Omondi was dodgy and didn’t want to say much.

I don’t want to speak about Jacque Maribe. I am in Bungoma for a stadium tour.” he said.

Asked what he thinks of the various comments taking jabs at him, Eric said:

“Sioni watu wakitroll (I cannot see anyone trolling me”. I have read the comment and I don’t see any troll.”

“Story ya kuoana (On that story of getting married). Call me after one minute.” said Omondi after being asked whether he’ll marry her.

Jowi’s Mum: People have turned against me and they see our home as that of killers. I can’t leave the house

Joseph Irungu’s mum has shared that she’s paranoid and fears for her life after their son was named the prime suspected in Monica Kimani’s murder case.

Irungu’s mother said that she’s afraid to leave the house or even check who is outside the gate because she doesn’t know what they are planning.

I can’t leave the house. I can’t open the gate when someone knocks. I can’t even let my guests in because of fear and I keep wondering who might come in and what they will do to me,” said Joe Irungu’s told NTV.

She went to say that even her close friends have turned against her and they have labeled her family as killers.

People have turned against me and they see our home as that of killers except for a few friends,”  she added.

“I am pleading with the investigators not to rush matters, but to do thorough investigations to reveals who actually did it,” Joe Irungu’s father added.

Not him

Irungu’s dad also added that his son didn’t commit the crime and despite the evidence.

“Shedding of blood is bad; we are not siding with anyone; but I believe my son is innocent. I was shocked to see the report in the papers that DNA samples were showing 99.9 per cent confirmation. I am hoping they can track everything and do thorough investigations. We are wondering how they arrived at that.”

I learnt of my daughter’s engagement through the media – Jacque Maribe’s father

Almost everyone knew about Jacque Maribe’s fiance Joseph Irungu apart from her parents.

Jacque Maribe’s dad, Maribe Mwangi, has come out to reveal that she never told him about Jowi’s public proposal but only learned about it through the media.

Speaking to journalists, Mwangi said that he had seen Jowi a few times but Jacque had never introduced him officially but was caught off guard by the proposal.

“She is an adult and I was not following much about their relationship. I even heard of their engagement over the media,” said the journalist’s dad.

Not her

He went on to say that her daughter is not an evil person but is guilty of love. Maribe broke the news about Monica’s murder on Citizen TV. His father said that there’s no way she could have done it and still read the news.

“The day after Monica’s murder, my daughter read the same piece of news at Citizen. How callous can she be to participate in a murder and have the courage to read the news? That is not the girl we raised,” he disclosed.

Only Kirigo Ng’arua tried warning Jacque Maribe after noticing Jowi was a very strange guy -Friends

Citizen TV news Jacque Maribe is currently in hot soup after the murder of Monica Kimani who he was killed by his fiance Joseph Irungu aka Jowi.

Irungu and Maribe were lovebirds for almost six months but now things have emerged that the relationship wasn’t rosy at all.

According to Maribe’s friends, former Citizen TV news anchor Kirigo Ng’arua had tried warning her from Jowi after over hearing an argument from the two.

According to Word Is, Kirigo saw through Jowi’s lies and warned Maribe early enough and it tainted her relationship with Jacque’s man.

“Kirigo was the only one who saw through Jowie for who he was. There was a time she had a public altercation with him because Jowie found out she was telling Jacque he is not worth her love. This altercation coloured their relationship going forward.” said a source.

Helpless

The source then went ahead to explain that Jacques proposal occurred while Kirigo wasn’t around and she was left with only congratulating her.

“After all what could she do, they are friends first before Jowie was in the picture and even after he leave, she will still be close to Jacque,” the source said.

When reached by Word Is and asked about this, Kirigo refused to open up on the issue.

“Who is that giving you that information? Then ask them their thoughts as well. I don’t want to comment about that.” she said.

I was shocked when I saw his photograph in the newspapers as the main suspect of the murder of a girl in Kilimani,” the neighbour said.

“The last time I saw him in Nakuru was in 2015 and since then I have not heard of him as we never communicated again,” said another close band member.

Musician

Other neighbors remembered him as a talented musician who had some amazing vocals.

“He was an inspiring musician. He was a vocalist, and an instrumentalist in the church ,” said a friend who teamed up with Mr Irungu to form a band that entertained residents in Nakuru and Naivasha towns.

“Irungu is one person who never missed going to church. His absence was easily noticed,” said another friend with whom they played music together in the church. I was shocked when I saw his photograph in the Daily Nation as the main suspect in the murder of a girl in Kilimani estate in Nairobi,” added another.
