He passed away this morning after a prolonged hospital stay.”

The Love Celebration concert will resume after the funeral, scheduled for August 4, 2024,” he said.

The memorial service for Francis Thiong’o will be held on Sunday, July 28, at Membley Baptist Church, starting at 2 PM. “You are all invited to attend the memorial service for the late Francis Thiong’o this Sunday at Membley Baptist Church,” Okoth stated.

Singer Jemimah Thiongo Appeals for Sh 3 Million to Cover Husband’s Medical Bills

Legendary gospel singer Jemimah Thiongo has made an appeal for assistance in raising Sh3 million to cover her husband’s hospital expenses.

Though she did not disclose the exact nature of her husband Francis Thiongo’s illness, she mentioned that complications from surgery have left him immobile.

The “AKISEMA ATAKUBARIKI” hitmaker explained that they are faced with the bills from two hospitals: the one where her husband was initially hospitalized and the current one.

In a heartfelt video circulating on social media, she shared:

“My husband Francis Thiongo walked into the hospital one day for a small procedure, but it turned into a major issue, leaving him immobile. He has been in the hospital for nearly three months. We have held two fundraisers with the help of family and friends, raising 2.7 million shillings. However, we still have a deficit of 3 million shillings. We are appealing to you to stand with us and help raise the money needed to clear the bill.”

She added:

“We need to get him home. Thank you to all our friends who have stood by us and all the churches for their prayers. If you want to help, please send your financial assistance to PAY BILL: 8056821.”

Lipo Tumaini are Swahili words that mean there is hope and as you can tell, this main aim of this jam is to encourage believers not to give up when they encounter challenges.

Put simply, one should not throw in the towel and end his/ her life because they are frustrated or things aren’t going the way they expected.

Reuben Kigame

Instead, we should seek God and tell him our troubles since he’ll never desert us in our time of need and he can help us overcome them.

There are many reasons why I love this jam. Firstly, the powerful message that it carries really resonates with me and I must tell you that after listening to it, the assurance made me feel less burdened.

Secondly, Lipo Tumaini is so infectious. It sounds so pleasant to the ears. I have had it on replay since it was released out and to be honest, I’ve lost count of the number of times I have listened to it.

Thirdly, the voices of the artists on this jam are so melodious and to add to that it has some Coastal vibe to it and that is one of the things that makes it exceptional.

Princess Faridah

Jemimah and Princess Faridah’s beautiful voices blend perfectly with that Reuben Kigame and the choir spice up the songs with their melodious background vocals. It’s so heavenly ladies and gentlemen.

I totally love the instrumentation on Lipo Tumaini, especially because it is inspired by Taarab, remember that this is a gospel song. Anyway, all I am saying is that it sounds so pleasant.

The video concept is also on point albeit. Just like the audio, it was inspired by the Coastal lives and that is evidenced by their attires and locations.

“Anyone who has ever worked with Bahati can always agree ni mtu mbaya” Jemimah Thiongo’s manager reveals how Bahati conned the veteran gospel singer

Bahati collaborated with veteran gospel songbird Jemimah Thiong’o to drop a song dubbed ‘Kwa Moyo Wangu’ on December 2nd 2016.

The collaboration was facilitated by Brian Mutenyo – Jemimah Thiongo’s operations manager.  In an interview with Word Is, Mr. Mutenyo revealed Bahati conned Jemimah.

Jemimah’s manager says that the gospel songbird has never received a dime in royalties from her collaboration with Bahati.

“After the song release, we have never heard from Bahati again. He never calls, and Jemimah has never even received a coin — for royalties — from Bahati. If Bahati has ever paid Jemimah, let him come to the media and defend himself,” Jemimah’s manager was quoted by Word Is.

Mutenyo further revealed that he played a vital role in getting Bahati to work with his client since he couldn’t get hold of Jemimah for two years.

Apparently Jemimah was reluctant to work with Bahati because his songs are deemed by many people to be secular-ish. Mutenyo however managed to convince Jemimah to work with Bahati on condition that he would go back to singing the real gospel music.

“Jemimah is mature and very spiritual. She is cautious about who she is associated with when it comes to her ministry. Thus, doing a collabo with a new generation artiste meant he/she has to be morally upright and very spiritual,” Mutenyo said.

It’s because of this reason that Bahati deleted ALL of his posts on social media and said that he wasn’t truly serving the Lord. He declared that he was seeking a fresh start in gospel music.

“Anyone who has ever worked with Bahati can always agree with me ni mtu mbaya (he is a bad person),”Jemimah’s manager added.
