Falling in love in Nairobi has become an old tale as most youths have turned their relationships to ‘person sharing’ and if you doubt this; then watch Jimal’s recent interview with Jalang’o – just to confirm why Nairobi is one big bedroom.
However it’s not everybody who has this mentality i.e Jamila Twalib who is singer and song writer. Well, this is because she believes in true love and just like our parents – the singer prefers in investing in a real relationship rather than jumping from one man to another.
Real love, no fun and games
She confirmed this through her latest single dubbed Nakupenda (I love you) which talks about her love. From the lyrics, Jamila Twalib promises to support and love her man in the best possible way.
Unlike most Nairobi girls – Ms Twalib goes on to openly admit that she is ready to carter for the handsome man; and although this is a song – let’s be honest – it must have been inspired by a real life story.
Well, if you’re among the few people who still believe in love – then Nakupenda is the perfect jam for you.
