Jalang’o to Kenyan youth: Think like D students if you want to make it in Kenya

Even though comedian Jalango has gone back to school for a degree, he’s urging fellow Kenyan youth to ditch their papers and start thinking like they failed their exams.

Unemployment is currently killing Kenyans and youths have been left broken as they continue seeking for jobs. Jalang’o took to social media to post that youths need to have a D mentality in case they want to thrive in Kenya now.

Hustle

In a long post, the comedian explained why it’s now crucial to drop your papers and start hustling like never before.

Read the post below:

“LET ME BE THE DEVIL ADVOCATE IN THIS OCHIENG STORY!! Thank God he got a job courtesy of the media..But howmany other Kevin’s are out there? Howmany other people have even better performances and certificates than him? If you asked me there are many people out there looking for jobs and cant find! And there are several reasons why you there are no jobs,These old folks now telling us that we get self employed made sure that all factories and plants died! They ate and stole everything. In most cases it is never what you know its who you know, you must be connected to get a job.

“This is even the reason for my post ( A STUDENT MENTALITY ) Yes you got an A’ Yes you got a first class honours , as much as you deserve to get a job immediately your A does not guarantee you a job! Coming to Nairobi and thinking that there is a place for you and a job for you because you are a first class honours student is a very big lie! To survive with your A you must have a mentality of a D student! A D student believes and knows very well that there is nowhere his papers will take him ,so he knows that for him to survive he must work a miracle and the miracle is working !!

“You will find that they actually run this town! You find that D students are employing the Engineers, actuaries to run for them their businesses , they own petrol stations, car yards, food joints, apartments, they know every corner of China, they know what is cheap , spare part shops and all, It is so sad that you could be book smart but not street smart!! and as the D students are getting their hands dirty you get an A student 10 or 20 years later of job searching still believing that only his papers will save him!!

Jalang’o with the late Bob Collymore

“Some even turn down jobs because they do not match their school performance, I have seen people who at entry point wants to be a HOD, or even an MD!! .With all due respect to job seekers and every humility because I know how hard it can get , please be flexible! There is this CPA 4 accountant who accepted to be a waiter and now he is the accountant for the company because he was already in! Have your A but hustle like a D student! What’s your take?”

Jalang’o’s bitter reply at Joe Muchuri after he told him Huduma number is a scam

Have you registered for Huduma number?

Well, today being the second last day, Kenyans are ready to die queuing for the number. Comedian Jalang’o has been campaigning for this since day one and is happy to see Kenyans are finally turning up to register.

Why register

The registration period for Huduma Namba ends on May 18. Jalang’o was forced to call out Joe Muchiri who expressed his doubts saying the number doesn’t make sense.

This is what Muchiri said:

“The part 30 million people influenced by their parents, Jalangoo & Nonini didn’t read ???????? I CONFIRM THAT THE INFORMATION INCLUDING BIOMETRICS PROVIDED BY ME IS TRUE, CORRECT AND ACCURATE. I AM AWARE THAT MY INFORMATION INCLUDING BIOMETRICS WILL BE USED FOR GENERATION OF A HUDUMA NUMBA WHICH IS A UNIQUE PERSONAL IDENTIFIER ACROSS THE GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT MY INFORMATION MAY BE PROVIDED TO AN AUTHORISED GOVERNMENT AGENCY/AGENCIES.

“The idea that a Jubilee government that has not provided basic services for Kenyans for the last 6 years is crazy & lying that now it will provide services after U get a new huduma number is a blad fuckin joke. It is sad people have been duped to do it in millions. The big question is who benefits from this project ???? from data collection, to kits supply, to data maintenance etc LOL I mean the whole thing tender for Huduma cards. As a Kenyan U already have a unique identity in many forms from ur birth certificate to ur driving license to ur ID to ur passport to ur KRA pin unique to U so why would U need another one. ???????? what can a Huduma number do that ur ID can’t ????anyway ur data can be used by anyone now & the government has a disclaimer Expect news scams in 2019 where someone can use ur identity to do shit on ur behalf ???????? I hope ur Huduma digits makes U get cheaper fuel & groceries. I AM NOT BOARDING.”

Jalas fired back at him saying:

“You don’t have to mention me! You say I have been paid to tell people to take it…yes I have been paid! Very well! Because this is not just another page this is a media platform just like all radios and tv stations have been paid! There are a lot of things in this country [that are] worse, if this huduma namba will kill me, let it kill me! Bro, you don’t always have to drag everyone into your wars! So, which one will kill people first? The whisky you pour in people mouths in clubs or huduma namba? “saitan! Go take huduma namba! Maybe you wanted to be noticed! There you go! ????????????????.”

Jalang’o angers many following his post that Ivy Wangechi died for not turning down money and gifts from her killer

Radio presenter Jalang’o was corned recently by his fans and feminists following his post on Instagram that stated women should also say no to men’s gifts and money when they decide to reject them.

According to the witty comedian and radio personality, women who accept the incentives from men risk serious harm should they turn down advances and proposals from the same people. He wanted them to know that there’s nothing for free.

“I think it’s time we became honest with each other. Too many young beautiful girls are dying some of the most saddest deaths you can’t wish for someone’s daughter! It is time we discussed this issue! Rule one! No man gives any woman anything for free! Yes I said it ! Men can we tell them this!” he said in the post that angered many.

@jalangoo claims women should not take money from men if they do not know what they want in return.

The comedian then went ahead to say that women end up suffering because of this and therefore should restrain from taking gifts.

“Even your dad takes you to school so that at old age and when he can’t provide for himself he will depend on you! So my sister before you take any money from any man just ask them what they want in return and if you can’t offer what they want return it! Simple, do not promise what you can not deliver. People work so hard for their money my sister! Do not exchange lies for a man hard earned money! My sister,” he said.

The post angered many who rushed to the comment section to bash him for his views saying that he’s promoting boy child to be violent.
