Jaguar only won that election because he cried – Maina Kamanda

Nominated MP Maina Kamanda is still insisting that he should have been the Starehe legislator and that singer Jaguar never won “fairly”.

According to the politician, Charles Njagua Kanyi, alias Jaguar, only won the Starehe seat after crying at the Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani in April 2017.

Initial results had shown that Kamanda had garnered 10,374 votes compared to Jaguar’s 8,391 votes in the April 2017 Jubilee Party primaries but after the singer appealed, tribunal committee awarded him the Party’s certificate.

Sympathy

According to Kamanda, Jaguar managed to win the primaries because he cried making many sympathies with him. He was speaking during the national integration and healing convention in Nairobi on Wednesday, August 22 when he revisited the issue.

Is singer Jaguar the man behind Hamisa Mobetto child and not Diamond? She speaks

Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto has finally reacted to rumors that singer Jaguar actually fathered her kid.

Speaking to Millard Ayo, the socialite addressed word doing rounds that her Dylan, who she fathered with Diamond Platnumz, is from Jaguar due to the uncanny resemblance to the ‘Kigeugeu’ singer.

“I have never met Jaguar in my life, I have been to Kenya many times but I have never met him. I don’t know him. And so it surprises me when people claim that Jaguar is the father but fame comes at its price.”  She said on Millard Ayo.

Diamond with Dylan

Burns with anger

Mobeto said it annoys her every time people call her child Jaguar’s since she knows the dad.

“When they say Dylan belongs to Jaguar I get annoyed because I know who the father is. Because I was the one who had sex so I know who the father is and I am not the kind to cheat in a relationship. I will be faithful until we break up. But I cannot mix when I’m with you, that’s my nature. A lot of girls can but I can’t.” Hamisa revealed.

MP Jaguar speaks after Ezekiel Mutua’s new law that has left creatives pissed

Singer Jaguar is now wears two hats after he was elected as the Starehe member of parliament. Kenyan creatives, especially entertainers, have been looking on to him to push different proposal in parliament that will see them make a living in the arts business without much hustle.

Recently, Kenya Film Classification Board announced that Filmmakers will be needed pay KSH 12,000 for registration and licenses, KSH 5000 for weekly upload, KSH 1000 for the days you film. A fine of 100,000 will be imposed if found Vlogging with a license.

Trash the bill

The proposal sparked outrage from Kenyans as many promised not to adhere. Jaguar has now addressed the issues saying that the law is a mistake and should be trashed since will kill the creative business in Kenya.

Here’s what he had to say:

Jaguar: Business is hard because presenters and DJs also want to be stars

Singer Jaguar is now also a politician. He recently worked with veteran rapper and once an enemy, Prezzo, for his latest release called Timika which has gotten a lukewarm reception.

Jaguar, however, sates that the music industry has changed and that’s why artists are struggling. Simply because hungry DJs and radio presenter are also demanding a piece of the pie unlike what used to happen in his younger days.

“During our time, we used to get money but things have changed. Then, a radio presenter would just be that — a presenter, but these days presenters and deejays want to be stars, competing with musicians,” said the Starehe MP.

Music flows in my blood

Jaguar said that even though he’s in parliament now, music will always be a part of him.

Even though I am an MP now, I will always be an artiste, because I believe in the power of art. And our country is blessed with immense talent. I am a musician at heart because it is my passion and talent,” says Jaguar.

Adding:

“There is a Bill in Parliament, and I have been urging all artistes to sit down and agree on the issues they want challenged so that they can present them to us to take forward. But unity among artistes is also another thing,” he said.

“We have youthful leaders in Parliament some of who have begun their careers in the entertainment industry and will push these issues because they understand them well.”

This is the powerful photo of Jaguar that all Kenyans should emulate!

It’s 5 days to the elections and from the stories making rounds on social media, seems that there are a few Kenyans trying to brew issues that are not relevant!

Well, we all saw what happened in 2007/2008 but we refuse to be used again as we are all Kenyans…one blood despite the various tribes we have.

As many fear and try to rush back to their villages…the likes of Jaguar are already getting on their knees to pray for peace and unity in Kenya.

This is something we should all be doing at this point remembering that at the end of the day these politicians promoting disputes will be safe at their posh houses while the rest of us remain struggling with our lives as usual!

Peace and change begins with you! Refuse to be part of violence and shedding of innocent blood!
