An ocean blue theme took over the decor and was the main color on the cake’s icing, with a toddler’s shoes and the tag ‘MOM’ to crown it up. The setting was simple but classic and the group present sure had a beautiful time as a dear Sharon looked forward to holding her little one in her arms.

Akisa Wandera, Sharon Momanyi as well as Ian Wafula were among the colleagues who got an invite to the event. Looks like the heavily expectant mom is not far away from welcoming her bundle of joy and we can only wait. Presumption is the baby is a boy, basing on the theme color picked on but we can only speculate.

Ian Wafula: BBC rejected me four times before picking me

The recent mass media movement has seen media employees switch media houses this year more than any other.

Former K24 news anchor Ian Wafula is among those who switched station after moving to British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) which has been poaching journalists at a high rate.

His move, however, was not easy. He recently confessed that he was rejected four times by the giant media house before they picked him.

“New chapter. Looking forward to starting soon at the BBC as Broadcast Journalist, News Review. I’d like to call it my new home but it’s bigger than that, the next step in my career. I’ve seen God’s manifestation in this process having been rejected 4 times after endless tests and grueling interviews. What’s yours is yours, at the right time,” said Wafula on social media.

Pushed

He went on to thank Larry Madowo who pushed him to reach for greatness and never settle for less.

“Thanking my family and close friends for standing by me.Special thanks to @larrymadowo for the three challenging words “You deserve better” that took me off my comfort zone to yearn for greater opportunities” shared Ian Wafula.

“It has been depressing for me” Another K24 anchor loses his car to conmen (Photos)

Another K24 anchor Ian Wafula has suffered the same fate like Eric Njoka. Ian found himself in a quandary after the same VW he was sold was also sold to another person.

Detectives have since impounded Ian’s VW Jetta pending investigations into the matter. The K24 anchor says the person who sold him the German machine sold the same car to his lawyer and changed its ownership without him knowing.

Ian Wafula’s VW Jetta

“Very often social pressure and expectations force us to hide behind our jobs; that our lives are perfect, free of baggage. NO. It has been a depressing couple of months after a car I owned for a whole year become subject of investigations. Traded in my Toyota Axio for a VW Jetta at a Car Bazaar on Ngong Rd owned by this guy here Collins Bootsy Muraya and instead he did not remit the money to the Original Jetta owner.

“The owner in turn claims that’s after Collins vanished he sold the car to his Lawyer who had eyed it and the two managed to change its ownership; all this while I was in possession of the car. Police suspect foul play but until investigations are done all I have are many unanswered questions. Thousands of innocent buyers fall in the hands of such individuals, especially we young people; don’t get too caught up in excitement while purchasing an asset be keen to check the Car history with KRA before checking with NTSA’s portal which I have since learnt is highly temperable. As it stands I might have just lost two cars in essence. Stay Woke,” Ian Wafula narrated his ordeal.
