Former WCB member Harmonize who is the new and only CEO of Konde gang has given many a reason to talk after parading his new tattoo.
The singer who has been doing rather well with his music paraded the new tattoo on his page; and now fans feel that the elephant tattoo is a symbol of greatness!
Posing shirtless, one of his friends took the picture getting a clear shot of the design. Indeed his new tattoo is one of kind and not even the likes of Simba have managed to get such quality tattoos!
Harmonize and wife
This comes just a few days after Harmonize revealed that his wife will no longer be attending his gigs.
The singer went on to say that this is because he now wants her to enjoy her role as his wife; while he steps out to make more money for her and their future children.
Former WCB member Harmonize has announced that his wife will no longer be seen during his concerts like before.
Speaking to Bongo 5, the singer went on to explain that they have both decided it would be better for her to stay away from his events; as he hopes to treat her like the queen she is!
Not quite sure whether this is the real reason or whether they are already pregnant with their first child and want to hide it from the public; but we are yet to find out! He went on to say;
“Sitokuwa na mke wangu karibu sana kwenye shoo zangu tofauti na zamani, lakini si kwamba hamtaniona naye, nataka awe malkia, sitaki awe na mazoea na vyombo vya habari ama na watu wengine, nataka atumie muda mwingi kunijali mimi,”
Harmonize making too many songs!
This comes shortly after Harmonize was told to go slow on releasing new projects as he is becoming too monotonous now!
Since leaving WCB, Harmonize has not being doing so bad on his own however fans feel that he delivered better when he was still with Wasafi records!
Anyway, as for now he continues to entertain his fans on social media with his new projects!
Award-winning Tanzanian musician and songwriter Harmonize – real name Rajab Abdul Kahali – has released a new track dubbed Hujanikomoa and it’s getting so much love from his fans, even his fiercest critics.
From the little Swahili that I know and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, Hujanikomoa means ‘you don’t pull it off’ or forcefully removing something or someone from a certain place. Does that make any sense? I hope it does.
This is a love ballad of sorts. Harmonize is telling a certain lady that she has not succeeded in pushing him away and she is just making things worse.
To be honest, the first time I listened to this song, I was kind of astonished but I guess I came to love it the more kept listening to. The sound is different from the Harmonize that we’ve become used to in the last few years.
His style in this jam is heavily-influenced by Chakacha and not Afro Bongo like is previous releases and that is why it might take some time before the song resonates with you but once it does, you won’t stop playing it.
This jam is infectious. Other than the fact that it’s well-arranged I just love how simple it is. I bet he composed it and shot the video in less than two days.
Like I mentioned earlier, I love the instrumentation especially because it’s different from the norm. It’s not what you would expects someone like Harmonize to use to make a hit song but he did just that.
The video concept is also effortless but impeccable. It was shot in the hood and as you’d expect, there are some ladies who are shaking their derrieres like the world is coming to an end.
Listen to Hujanikomoa below and tell us what you think.
Award-winning Tanzanian singer Rajabu Abdul Kahali, popularly known as Harmonize, and his coutry mate Country Boy have been featured by DJ Seven Worldwide on his latest track and it’s a big tune.
The song dubbed Litakufa Jitu has been ruling the airwaves since it came out a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.
I have listened to this jam a couple of time since it was released and every time I play it, it’s like I’m hearing it for the very first time. Yup, it’s that good.
The main reason why I can’t stop listening to this song is because I love Swahili rap. All the artists who were featured in Litakufa Jitu. Actually, they even surpassed my expectations.
For instance, who knew that Harmonize has a dope flow? Okay, I know most if not all of you have heard him sing but did you know he can actually rap? I bet you didn’t.
He totally killed it in this track and is perhaps the reason why I can’t stop listening to it. His flow and punchlines are out this world and maybe, just maybe, he should consider switching to rap.
Country Boy and DJ Seven Worldwide also did a good job, especially the former. He has a unique ability to play with words and make some dope rhymes.
Although I did not really like the beat, I feel it was not that bad since it blends well with the artists’ styles and as well as their tempos.
Listen to Litakufa Jitu below and tell us what you think.
Konde Boy aka Harmonize is currently making money moves after exiting from the Wasafi Classic brothers music team.
So far he has been in and out of Tanzania as he prepares to drop his album soon and word has it that it will feature several Nigerian artists; who have worked with him before.
In an interview done a while back, Harmonize went on to reveal that he had several projects that aim at helping those living in poverty in Tanzania. He has a few trucks helping distribute food to the families living on the streets in Dar Es Salaam and hopes to expand to other towns soon.
New Money deal!
The Konde gang CEO is now the brand ambassador of Sayona Twist. He will be representing this nonalcoholic beverage from the Sayona Drinks Limited since he once revealed that he does not take alcohol.
Through his gram the singer went on to write;
Welcome on board …!!! @sayonatanzania Happy 2020 ????????????????✨ endorsement ???? Open now Let’s Go…!!! ???????????????? #TWIST4EVERYBODY ❤???? follow @sayonatanzania
This happens to be the first lucrative deal he has landed since walking out on WCB a few months ago. His boss on the other hand is currently the Tanzanian ambassador of Pepsi which is now competing against Sayona Twist.
Word has it that Harmonize’s manager did not come out clean about the main reason that led the bongo singer not perform in Mombasa on 31st.
Apparently the organizers decided to deduct some money from the fee that he was to get for the show. Well, according to Jalang’o the money that was deducted was to help fix the Range Rover which he had been rolling around with after landing in Mombasa.
Reports indicate that Harmonize was responsible for the Range Rover’s damages since they were caused by his fans who were fighting to grab the money that the singer was dishing out.
Harmonize alipofika Mombasa, mapokezi yalikuwa mazuri. Aliporusha pesa tena Windscreen and side mirror ya ile gari ikapasuka. Wakasema watalipa. Hapo ndo Jeshi ikaamua, tena haiko tena Jeshini tunaka pesa yetu. Saa nayo ilikuwa imeenda karibu saa tisa asubuhi, so promoter akasema kama huji basi asante sana wacha tuweke pesa yetu kibindoni, na ikawa ivo.
Chris the bass speaks
Chris Bass who was also among the events Emcee’s also went on to add a few more details to story saying;
So before that, kuna mambo ambayo yalifanyika ndo yakamlazimu Harmonize kuruka. Ile wakati anatupa pesa, alianza na pesa ya Tanzania, wakenya ni wajanja hawakupanic. Baadaye akachukua maelfu za Kenya ambazo alikuwa nayo kwa gari akaanza kuzitupa. So ile motisha ya mafans ikafanya akaanza kutupa mpaka dollars. Kumbe hakuwa amefanya hesabu vizuri kushuka kwa gari kufanya hesabu karibu laki mbili zimeenda. Sasa regrets zikaanza pale. Nipoteze pesa nimetupia mafans tena wewe unikate huku., akasema hiyo haiwezi,”
Konde Boy aka Harmonize has never taken any alcohol….well that’s according to his latest post shared on Instagram.
Turns out that Konde Boy prefers having fun at clubs but unfortunately – he is not one to partake in alcohol.
However thanks to his post, we now understand that Harmonize is willing to break this rule tonight as he celebrates his manager’s birthday!
Harmonize introduces new manager
Judging from the message he wrote down to one Jembe ni Jembe it’s obvious to see that the two have been close for a while now and he could also be the reason why Harmonize walked out on Wasafi.
Anyway below is the beautiful message shared by Harmonize to his manager.
LOVE YOU BIG BRO MENGI YA KUONGEA ILA KWA LEO WACHA NI SEME HIVI TUUU MORE LIFE MORE ???????????????? ????????????????THE MASTER PLAN AND BOSS OF #KONDEGANG TONIGHT WE GO PARTY 4 YAAA DAY ???????????????????????????????????????? PALE ELEMENT @elementstz IM GETING DRUNK 4 THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE OF YOU TONIGHT SIJUWI ITAKUWAJE …!!! ???????????????????????? NAKWAKUWA NI SIKUYAKO …!!! WEWE HAPO @jembenijembe I’M DROPPING YOUR FAVOURITE SONG ???????????? I MEEN NEW MUSIC TONIGHT ❤???? #JEMBEDAY #JEMBEDAY @jembenijembe
Singer Harmonize left many shocked on 31st December after a video of him performing a ritual – to protect himself from being bewitched, killed or ruined by his enemies emerged online.
From the stories making rounds on social media, this ritual was apparently done in front of a huge crowd which consisted of his fans, the media and his management in order for word get out just incase his enemies were thinking of destroying his career.
The videos and photos making rounds on social media show the singer being smeared with a goats blood around his forehead and chest area.
Konde Boy vs Wasafi
For a while now Konde boy has been having some few issues with the Wasafi since he left the team!
So far Harmonize and Diamond Platnumz remain ‘enemies’ in the show biz business but truthfully their fans wouldn’t have it any other way!
Harmonize has once again refused to perform in Kenya following what his management claims as insufficient funds in their bank accounts.
Well, after being named among the top artists to perform alongside Nigeria’s superstar Burna Boy, Konde boy is said to have preferred flying in back to Tanzania to spend some quality time with his family – after the event organizers failed to pay him in full.
According to his new manager Jembe ni Jembe the event organizers were apparently collecting money from fans at the gate to come pay Harmonize.
Konde boy’s brand in trouble?
After exiting the WCB team, Harmonize seems to have learnt the art of being independent! The fella now has a whole new team that supports his music and respects his career as an independent artist.
However, word has it that his current beef with Diamond Platnumz could be the main reason why his brand no longer seems to have any value to some of his fans.
Anyway not quite sure what the NRG team will say but rumors has it that the Burna boy concert went on just fine!
Award-winning Tanzanian rapper Sharif Thabit Ramadhan, better known as Darassa, has dropped a new track with Harmonize and it’s getting a lot of love from their fans.
The song titled Yumba, which is a Swahili word that means to sway, proves that the two Bongo artists should release more joints together because it’s really dope.
As expected, Darassa came through with dope wordplay and witty rhymes. To add to that, there’s the fact that he has great punchlines and you just want to keep listening to him.
This guy’s creativity is on another level. To be honest, I don’t think there is a Tanzanian artist whose rap prowess can be compared to that of this guy but that’s a story for another day.
Harmonize also brought his A-game. There’s a way that he spices up this song that words can’t really explain. He and Darassa sound so good together it as if they were meant for each other. Okay, now I am pushing it.
The beat on this jam is also decent. If you are a fan of Bongo music unlike me, you will find it hard to listen to Yumba while you are seated down. Chances are you get up to bust a move.
Listen to Yumba below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!
Talented Producer-cum-singer Magix Enga has escalated his ‘beef’ with Tanzanian singer Harmonize after throwing shade at him in his latest release featuring Zzero Sufuri, Nuclear and Mkadule.
The song dubbed Twa Twa was inspired by a viral clip that showed a pastor known as Susan Munene of Overcomers Hope Ministry in Kasarani.
She urged couples to engage in intimacy anywhere and everywhere claiming that it was the only Game that was made by God unlike football, netball and rugby.
“Kama kuna kitu inatufanya tuwe kitu kimoja na pastor ni sex, us we can have sex anywhere, kwa gari ni twa twa kwa kitchen twa twa everywhere,” Munene explained.
As you would expect, many Kenyan artists decided to jump on the bandwagon and have been releasing songs to take advantage of the viral clip. The latest of course, is the one by Magix Enga.
Out of all the Twa Twa versions that I have heard, I think this the catchiest one. It just flows. From the moment you hit the play button you just know that it;s about to get lit.
Apart form the fact that Magix Enga is rapping in this song (we are used to him singing), I also loved that he mocked Harmonize days after he issued a copyright strike on the latter’s latest release dubbed Uno.
As you would expect, Zzero Sufuri came through on this jam. He really aced his verse. Seriously though, when has he ever disappointed us? This chap is a legend.
I also liked Mkadule’s verse. This guy has some mad rhymes and cheeky wordplay and you just want to keep listening to him as he goes about his business.
The beat was also on point. Anyway, I was not expecting anything less seeing as it was produced by Magix Enga. Can you trust him if he can’t make a dope beat for himself? I guess not.
Producer Magix Enga might have miscalculated his move when he decided to call out Harmonize for allegedly stealing his beat which the TZ artist used for his ‘Uno’ hit song.
According to Magix Enga, Harmonize did not put any effort in his latest snob since he just copy and pasted the same beat used on King Kaka’s Dundaing hit.
However it appears that Harmonize aka Jeshi’s fans have been paying attention to the music they listen to.
Shortly after Magix Enga’s post on Instagram, most of Harmonize’s fans couldn’t help but blast the Kenyan producer for being quite forgetful when it comes to who stole from who.
Olamide’s Motigbana beat
Apparently Dundaing produced by Magix Enga used Olamide’s beat which was used to create Motigbana.
Dundaing
Uno
Not quite sure how true this is since beats can ‘sometimes’ sound alike…but chances are that these East African artists might have borrowed a few ideas from Olamide’s hit song…so why embarrass each other?
Anyway below are a few comments left by fans under Magix Enga’s post.
Singer Harmonize this past weekend gave many a reason talk after sending his wife a beautiful message on her birthday.
Thanks to a post shared on his Instagram page the now independent artist working under his own record label dubbed ‘Konde Boy’ went on to wish his wife a happy birthday as she turned a year older.
He went on to write saying;
MORE LIFE LOVE YOU WIFE ❤❤???????????? SUPER WOMAN @sarah__tz GOT YOU 4 LIFE IM’ READY FOR ????????
Well, just like all his mates who now have kids, Harmonize has gone ahead to ask his beautiful wife that he is now ready to start a family despite all the challenges he has been facing.
Exit from Wasafi
A while back, he went on to reveal that he still has a few things pending with Wasafi records while speaking to Clouds FM.
Apparently his contract stated that if he was to leave, then he was expected to pay Ksh 22million in order for him to acquire full rights to songs released under Wasafi records.
Harmonize however says he has a small amount pending before the Wasafi label releases him.
Actress Wema Sepetu is a huge fan of Harmonize and she is not going to hide her love for him either.
After leaving WCB, singer Harmonize has been putting in extra effort to ensure his career doesn’t fall back now that he is no longer working with Wasafi Records.
His exit from the WCB music label has however had its ups and downs as seen on social media. So far there are those fans who ditched Harmonize after he called it quits with Diamond Platnumz label – but also gained a new fan base now that he is independent.
Change for the better
Just recently while speaking on an interview with Clouds Media; Harmonize went on to reveal that his former label needed him to pay Ksh 22 million in order to get full rights of using the music he recorded under WCB.
He has however cleared most of the bill and is hoping to bounce back! Among those who have been showing their full support for Harmonize is Wema Sepetu who can’t help but praise him for the good work he has been putting out for the past few years.
After ditching Wasafi records to start his own label Konde Music Worldwide Records,Harmonize has finally released his first song “Uno”.
Before leaving the Diamond Platinumz run Wasafi records, Harmonizeiss considered second in the team. Furthermore, his numbers are still skyrocketing by the day-from the views on youtube.
As we wallow on speculations around his exit from Wasafi by the day, the fans are more anticipatory on his music. Will his success in music remain intact? Or will it dwindle? Again its a wait and see.We got you!
Regardless, this new jam has been well received by Konde Boy’s audience. The beats and its structure are clearly a factor that is going to put him high in the charts.
Uno
“Uno “loosely translates to mean the waist. In what seems like a praise to how a whining the waist can cause all sorts of trouble. Yes, that waist.
What’s more, Harmonize has managed to drag Diamond Platnumz’s baby mama, Zari Hassan, in the song.
Payback? Remember when Diamond exposed Harmonize”s fiancee for having an affair with Mwarabu?
Yeesss that song, Inama that he featured Fally Ipupa. Well, you be the judge. But for me I think its just about that.
In his part, Konde Boy claims that Platinumz’s waist- ‘Uno’ is making Zari lose weight. He says, “Uno la Chibu Chibu Linamkondesha Zari………”
Anyway who knows what else that waist has? I know what you thinking.
Further on, He goes on to mention the celebrities that have waists that clearly turn necks. He mentions Ray C, Fally Ipupa saying those two have no bones in their waists.
Come to think of it, these Uno’s are a big deal in their music videos.Especially Fally Ipupa eissh that man. I leave it at that.
Flip side
For what its worth, Harmonize has tried though the Lyrical break down is not as Intricate as his earlier songs. To give him a benefit of doubt lets just say it was a launch of his studio project and we will be on stand by for more music.
Singer Mbosso must be going through a hard time now that one of his baby mamas, Martha passed on earlier yesterday.
From the stories making rounds on social media is that the late Martha started complaining about a headache before her untimely death.
The news has however left Mbosso torn apart as he still can’t seem to accept that the mother of his son is gone.
Harmonize consoles Mbosso
Anyway among those who have come out to encourage Mbosso is former WCB singer Harmonize.
Despite having ignored his wedding invitation it appears that Harmonize put all that aside and decided to show some support towards Mbosso and his family as they go through this trying time.
After dating for years now, Harmonize decided to make his union with girlfriend Sarah official hence their big wedding that went down this past weekend.
From the stories making rounds on social media is that the wedding was kept on the low and saw only close friends and relatives attend.
Even after leaving Wasafi Records, Harmonize chose to invite his former workmates to his wedding no one from WCB attended the ceremony confirming that their is indeed beef!
Harmonize shading Diamond Platnumz?
In a new post shared by Harmonize, the young singer opens up about the importance of loving and respecting one woman. Through his Instagram page the fella wrote saying;
Mama Aliniambia Ukimpenda Mwanamke Mmoja ❤ Na kumpatia Heshima Ipasavyo Basi Wanawake Wote….!!!! Duniani Watakupenda Na Kukuheshimu Zaidii…!!!! Love You @sarah__tz ???????? we made it ????????????????????
If anything….one would assume Harmonize wrote the message targeting his former boss who is popularly known for jumping from one woman to another.
Former Wasafi Records singer Harmonize held his low key wedding this past weekend; however none of his Wasafi friends turned up for the ceremony.
Apparently this is because Harmonize left the WCB gang with too much pride and a lot of misunderstandings that has forced the rest of his former workmates distancing themselves from him.
Well, unlike most couples who would jet off for their honeymoon immediately after their wedding…. Harmonize and his wife chose to go watch football as Tanzanians Taifa Stars played against Burundi.
Harmonize controversial moves!
Word has it that the football fans who were at the stadium did not seem to notice Harmonize’s presence now that he was no longer part of WCB.
With this so obvious, the singer decided to give the spectators a free show as he is seen grinding on his wife as fans watched.
It is also believed that Harmonize decided to perform at the stadium since many had turned up to watch the much anticipated match!
Diamond Platnumz managed Sallam SK has admitted that indeed Harmonize will no longer be part of Wasafi Records as he is planning to exit the label.
The fella confirmed this while on an Interview with Wasafi TV where he revealed that Harmonize and his lawyers had already reached out the record label with a letter to terminate his contract.
According to Sallam SK, Harmonize’s heart is no longer at WBC but his contract is still tying him to the label. He went on to say;
Diamond Platnumz shades Harmonize
Sallam’s statement comes a few weeks after Diamond Platnumz went on to call out Harmonize for being greedy and ungrateful!
The two who were once very good friends have now turned against each other and from the look of things; Harmonize’s exit seems to have affected Diamond Platnumz hence his angry attitude!
Alikiba has shocked many after a viral video showing him walk out at the late Mafik singer Mbalamwezi funeral which was held a few days ago.
The Rock Star CEO is seen standing up before exiting just a few moments after Harmonize arrived with his entourage.
Not quite sure why Alikiba chose to walk out just when Harmonize had proven to be interested in starting a fresh with him now that he followed him on Instagram.
A while back during socialite Masosange’s funeral, Harmonize brought out a weird vibe after he greeted everyone and publicly ignored Kiba without minding the environment he was in.
The two again met but this time around seems that Alikiba was not ready to go through the drama again and instead left.
Word on the streets is that Harmonize might be planning to quit WCB. Judging from how he has drifted away from former best friend and boss….the rumors might just be true.
Anyway in a recent interview done by Babu Tale on Wasafi FM, the manager goes on to laugh off at those comparing Harmonize to Diamond Platnumz.
According to his point, there is no way the singer can compete with Diamond since all his projects have to go through him.
Diamond Platnumz threatened by Harmonize?
From the look of things, it appears that Harmonize has been drifting away from Wasafi records.
Unlike before, the artist has not been attending any of Wasafi events and could be looking at a new records which he will be moving to.
Anyway so far he has made a name for himself and even the likes of Wema Sepetu tend to believe that he is way better than Diamond Platnumz. In an interview done a while back Wema Sepetu opened up saying;
Level ya Harmonize inamzidi ya Diamond, siwezi kusema ni kwa kiasi gani lakini inamzidi. Pia bidii zake naona akifika mbali sana.
With the uncertainty of whether harmonize is still at Wasafi, I must say his music activity is one to love. This time he has manged to bring out the once celebrated Tanzanian fellow artists Qchilla.
The duo have teamed up to bring us several jams at a go For this we will delve on the latest “Nionyeshe”.
Nionyeshe
Nionyeshe is a typical love story but with a different angle of approach in production.
In the song Qchilla starts of by describing the kind Of love he felt for his woman before she broke his heart.
He talks of the the scars in his heart that are yet to heal as he seeks to understand what he did wrong to deserve such pain.
In Nionyeshe he tells his new found love that he is ready to love again despite the previous hurt.He says,Mmmh I wish uone moyo wangu. Ulivyojawa makovu. Huenda utanionea huruma. Nahisi we ndo dawa yangu. Umeshushwa mwokovu……
Onwards, Harmonize comes in with his incredible vocals that sooth the soul.He brings in a warning to the lovers. He asks to watch out for the naysayers, the bloggers and clear enough he goes on to mention the likes of Mangi Kimambi.
She is Tanzanianin socialite keen on using social media to critic celebrities using her social media account. Recently she and Zari hassan had feud online that to date we ain’t sure of who to say was the winner.
Concept
The song was well choreographed in terms of production. At the start of the song , the video shows an accident happening.Shortly after that the song starts at the scene of accident.
Giving credit where its due, the creativity for the this song’s video was beautifully done. The scene describes the kind of hurt the singer got in the hands of is previous love. Metaphorical indeed!
The message well put that love can either break you or build you to happiness. For a comeback Qchilla did a good job partnering with Harmonize.
At the end of it all love is a beautiful thing. We hope for more. For rating I will go for 7/10.
Harmonize is a guru when it comes to doing a love ballad. This time he teams up with Qchilla for their new jam “My Boo”
Lately Harmonize has been in the limelight with a fixation of explaining himself to his fans.
This to explain whether he is still a member of the Wasafi Records family or not.
However as we ponder on what the truth is lets break down this big tune “My boo”
My Boo
This a song that has the everyday movie like kind of love story. Konde Boy stars of the song with, a rather Biblical assertion, which states ,
Aaah, Mola anakupa astahili Hakupi unachotaka Ndio maana nimetulia Nakukabidhi mtima.
In simple terms he is saying that God gives you what you deserve and not what you want, this before sharing about the love he feels for his Italian fiancee Sarah.
In the video they show village boy who saves a woman from an accident who he eventually falls in love with after helping her recover.
He goes on to tell his story and how he faced lash back from people he believed were his friends. Those that told him that she was not the right woman for him.
Uuuum remember Jackie Wolper?
Then look at this next verse,Oooh wapo walosema Umetoka na maasai Tena hadharani wakapotosha Umedu na mwarabu
Clearly Harmonize is calling out his ex!!!
Bridge and Chorus
Further in the song Qchilla comes in at the chorus with,
My boo, my boo, my boo Oooh lala lalala my boo My boo, my boo, my boo Oooh lala lala my boo
Hawapendi kuniona na wewe Eti nimekaa nimechill na wewe Wanatamani nikuwe nimekwisha Ooh lalalala wakuchukue kabisa
This an indication that in support of Harmonizes sentiments , Harmonize is boasting of his love for Sarah. Mtajua hamjui!!!
So it clear that Harmonize and Sarah are here to stay people.Might be the ‘couple goals” soon huh!!!Well we wish them well in love.
Flip side
The song was beautifully done I must say. However the video shares one similarity with Diamond Platinumz Mdogo Mdogo. Whoever was behind this idealization clearly copied that concept in the video production.
Production
The song was shot in Arusha Tanzania by director Hascana.
For rating I will give this a 7/10.Tell us what you think.
Weeks after the release of the motivational jam ‘Never Give up’ by Bongo star Harmonize,he is back on the scene with a remix of the same teaming up with Tanzanian Vocalist Milly Nanace.
Furthermore, Never give up is an inspirational song that strives to motivate people.
This a reminder to them to be committed in what ever they do and within a certain time they will be rewarded with success.
Harmonize did the song with a biographical angle to tell his musical journey, that was what made the song go viral. Why ? Because almost everyone could relate to that story.
In my opinion this remix is a spoiler of the original.Take it or leave it.
For the record I am not hating on Milly, in fact this lady is vocal genius among the Tanzanian Cover artists I have seen so far.
However, the rendition they used for the remix especially Milly’s is what threw me off totally.
Fine her story too is beautiful but the blend between the two is what is missing. The chemistry too is not working at all.
For one I appreciate the fact that Harmonize is doing a good job by ‘kumshika mwenzake mkono katika sanaa”.
However, they should have done an original song.
The Lyrical refix
Milly Nanace is a good addition to the song because of her amazing voice, coupled with the touching lyrics she she adds to the song.
The tune’s video is not one to ignore. The black and white video concept is classic is it paints the picture of artistry and drama.
It features appearances from those mentioned in the artist’s original version of the tune. We hope to see an original collaboration of the two that will demystify my analogy.
In the mean time I will go for 7/10.What do you think?
Kondeboy Features in Country Boy’s new jam ‘Watoto’. Harmonize is signed under the Wasafi Record Label. Watoto is a club banger. Honestly, this is this jam is great. Also, the voices are great.
Also, I’d say that this is a unique callabo coming from a bongo artist and a rapper. The Tanzanian artists in Watoto talk about a girl and how fine she looks. The song also says that Kama una mtoto wako njoo naye, this is not just a child but a girl.
Production of ‘Watoto’ video
The video has been shot in Tanzania. In addition, it was directed by Kenny under Zoom Production in Dar es Salaam. It is some good work worth ones time. Also, you realize that the visuals in this video are great and some art applied.
I feel like the duo just knew what they were doing here. The beats and the audio are in sync. They are flowing so easily that you won’t realize that you are already dancing to the tune.
The choice of costume and set design is in line with the theme of the song. Like the vixens are dressed in a way that ata sijui niseme nini..
Presentation of ‘Watoto’
Mmh! Well there is something that you will notice about this banger. There is use of swahili sayings. Hasira za mkizi hizo Furaha kwa mvuvi; You know what Kondeboy does. This guy is just talented.
Actually, it’s been long since I heard this in the music world. Also, the jam has a style in which the lyrics has been presented. This stanza caught my attention; Nangoja muda ufike twende ndani(ayayayaya) Kwenye bonge la uwanja kitandani(ayayayaya) Nikuonyeshe vile mi hufanya mami Sinanga utani, utani, utani, utani. Seems like this Mtoto will get it rough in bed.
