Being an African and able to meet your needs while overseas, especially in the first world, takes sweat and time. Most Africans resort to odd jobs to be able to meet their daily needs while abroad.
Some tend to the elderly, others have to clean the streets, others are even long-distance truck drivers while others just turn to God.
Unless you are a brand or hailing from a well-off background, it is tough out there.
In his recent release, ‘Mama’, Harmonize sought to explain what exactly goes on in the lives of Africans living in the first world, in order to put food on the table.
Explained
In details, he shed light:
Wacha Nilifafanue Hili Kwa Wanao Ishi Nje Ya Tanzania Na Sehemu Kama UK, USA, Au Tuseme tu Ulaya Kwa Rugha Nyepesi. Asilimia Kubwa Wa Africa Wengi Ulaya Kazi Zetu zinakuwa Hazieleweki.
However, the good thing about the African culture, is that we are not choosy about jobs. As long as I am able to fend for my family and loved ones, that is all that matters.
Kama Ilivyo Tamaduni Zetu Hatuchaguwi Kazi Ilimradi Mkono Uende Kinywani …!!! Yatima Hajuwi Kudeka…!!! Kazi ni Kazi Ubaya Kuiba…!!!
With an example of some of the odds jobs, the Tanzanian singer shared a video massaging the feet of an aged white woman, preparing meals for her, feeding her and even taking her out for some fresh air.
Konde explained that tending to the elderly, sometimes even cleaning them is part of the duties of an African working in the first world.
So hizi ni Moja Ya Kazi Wanazo Zifanya Baadhi Tuu Ya Ndugu Zetu Wanao Ishi Nje Kuwahudumia Wazungu Watu wazima Ambao Wamefika Umli Wa Kuto Jiweza Kuwapikia Kiwalisha Na Hata Kuwaosha…!!! Na zingine Nyingi.
For all those abroad doing odd jobs just to meet their daily needs, the singer wished them well.
Duah Zangu Zipo Pamoja Nanyi Mchana Wa Leo Mungu Mwenye Huruma Atawabariki Kazi Zenye Manufaa Zaidii…!!!!
