Evaline Momanyi, has been topping headlines since Tuesday mainly for two reasons: She has just landed a lucrative deal from Save the Children UK and a section of fans are back to comparing her with her husband’s ex lover.
Momanyi has been appointed as a Board Member to the Africa Advisory Board of Save the Children UK. She has joined the international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries under Save the Children Fund.
On social media she made the announcement, stating what the job means to her.
“Hi guys. I am so excited to share with you that I have been appointed as Board Member to the Africa Advisory Board of Save the Children UK. If you follow my posts, you must have got to understand I have deep passion for totos and giving back….it is thus so natural for me to take up such a role. I can’t wait to share with you more about what @savechildrenuk and @savethechildren_kenya are doing. On the several meetings we’ve had…amazing stuff! And honestly….the stories are both heartbreaking but also powerful vibes of people who want to make a difference in the lives of children. It is our responsibility to ensure we provide a good environment for kids to grow and thrive….do we even understand whats happening to kids especially in marginalised areas in Kenya? I cant wait to share with you more on the work being done…..and how everyone can play a role. It’s time to see how we can help the deprived and marginalized children in our country.” she posted.
Harsh comparison
It’s from this job that a fan went on tear down Grace Msalame, who was also married to Paul Ndichu, saying Mommanyi is better than her. The fan inboxed her on social media.
“You block we open other accounts. Have you seen Momomanyi new job! Those are goals and lanes. Not hizo zako ati unscripted RIFF RAFF. You suffer from attention that’s why you pretend to show us your big body. Haaaa no wonder Paul dumped you. Lose some weight you too big admire kina Janet Mbugua those are goals,” wrote the body shamer.
Grace replied to the fan saying that everyone has his/her time to be blessed and people shouldn’t be negative towards others just because of success.
“Let’s talk about Comparisons for a minute… I’m raising two beautiful intelligent women of Faith & to come to terms with the fact that I have to raise them in this Social Media era where one minute it’s a smear campaign filled with the same rhetoric of objectification & the next a distraction from a person who’s only resort is to get behind a keyboard & spew negative energy! My Brand is in no way associated with negativity towards my own sex or the opposite sex! There is more than enough light for all of us to shine as bright as God will Grace us each & every one of us has been created for a purpose that only you can fulfill! Please never forget that!” read part of Ms. Msalame’s post.
