Guardian Angel back with Baraka Music, ‘Usikate Tamaa’

Guardian Angel is back with Baraka Music on a new jam Usikate Tamaa. He is one guy who has kept the gospel industry going on. Guardian Angel is a very talented musician and he has proven this. Recently he has been working on promoting upcoming artists.

Baraka Music has gotten one of the best collaborations and we must say that this was a good choice. Also recently Guardian Angel won an award as the most consistent gospel artist. This is a great deal. Also Guardian Angel has given hope to many with his songs and it never gets old.

Guardian Angel back with Baraka Music, 'Usikate Tamaa'

What is the message and relevance of ‘Usikate Tamaa’?

Usikate Tamaa are Swahili words meaning do not lose hope. This is a great song to start with. It is more of an encouraging song to most people who easily loose hope. God this guy is just on another level.

Produced by Vicky Pondis (Simba Sound) Video directed by Richie-G (ATL Entertainment). They go ahead and say ngoja kidogo usikate tamaa, ana mipango nawe. It is simply giving hope. God has plans for each and everyone. In the song he also poses the question on how many do you think fell earlier and are up now?

Guardian Angel back with Baraka Music, 'Usikate Tamaa'

Also there is a place he says alikujua ata kabla hujazaliwa in the introduction. This is so true. All human beings need is to hold on a little longer. This is what most people do not do. I feel like we can link this song Usikate Tamaa to his last song where he sang about depression. Honestly this guy gives most Christians and non-Christians hope to live.

The video production here is great. Guardian Angel always has that special energy while doing his performance. I can listen to his work again and again without getting tired. Usikate Tamaa by Guardian Angel and Baraka Music is worth your time. It comes at a time when Kenyans need hope.

In conclusion, the jam gets a rating of 7/10.

David Wonder brings you his new jam ‘Mgani’

David Wonder is back this time with ‘Mgani’. This jam comes in after his last release dubbed ‘Washangaze’. Wonder is signed under the Safri Label after ditching EMB records.

The Urban Contemporary gospel artist is back just like his counterpart Mr.Seed is trying to do. Mgani is a Swahili word which is commonly used as a query.

In this jam Mgani, Wonder is asking which man likeness himself to God. Also, it seems like it was an opening for him when he ditched EMB.

Production of ‘Mgani’

Wonder is truly talented. In addition to his talent, there is a great team behind the release of this jam. First this jam is his own doing.  The video was directed by Tom Gor and I must say he did some good work here.

Presentation

I will be lying if I tell you that I feel the song. As much as it is his work, he needs to up his work. There is no enough energy given to this song. Although I feel like something has been left out, the jam is slightly appealing.

Fans are the final say. In less than 24 hours, the song has 2000 views on youtube something that is rare for Kenyan gospel artists.

This guy truly knows the Holy book. He sings of the miracle that Jesus did. He says mwambie aje atembee juu ya maji. Am sure you all relate to the story.

Further, he has a voice that will attract you. In short, David Wonders never lacks wonders. Mgani has a target youth that is well defined. You realize that the kind of language targets the youth and the few others who relate to this style of music.

I give this jam a rating of 5/10. Gospel industry is slowly rising.

The ‘Wondering’ David, a story to tell

When you here ‘Wondering’ David, what comes to your mind? David Junior Odera is his official name. He is a Kenyan gospel artist. What you didn’t know is that this guy was natured by Bahati. Did I say Bahati? Ooh! yes I did.

His is a journey that has come from far, low self-esteem, struggling to rise musically and here comes a saviour in the name of Bahati. In an interview with Buzz Magazine, he says that when he was venting to Bahati, he told him that he is a product of God’s wonders.

People come from far and David is not an exception. He started practicing his music career long ago. Him and his friends formed a band that always performed in Our Spirit of Faith Pentecostal church in Baba Dogo and in other small gigs.

He started pursuing his music career immediately after high school. Well, this was at quit a young age.

David Wonder as a beautician?

You won’t believe this, but this guy has worked as a beautician. For sure Nairobi ni Shamba la mawe nothing comes easy. This is after he come from his dad’s village in Awendo, Migori county. He worked for long hours in the salon every day.

But in June 2015, he started his journey of contacting Bahati who owns EMB records. Yes, this is where he was embraced. Although he was able to get into contact with Bahati, he says it didn’t come easy.

Music Career

David Wonder has had a home at EMB records where he did a couple of songs. He has been in the industry for some time now. Wonders is now working with Safri Records. He has grown so much that he can now concentrate on his gospel career. Also, did the song Ndogo ndogo in 2017 together with Bahati. The song went viral and boom! Ndogo  ndogo was his first jam.

Below is a link to Ndogo Ndogo

He has done other jams from then and he has been doing well. Some of his songs include; Mgani, washangaze and msalaba. Wonder has also done collaborations like; Asifiwe with Mr.Seed, Nipende with Bahati and many others.

Wonders ditched EMB earlier this year and this is a house that built him. Anyway, lets not dwell on the past, Wonder is doing wonders out here. I must say this that this guy is talented and all he needs to do is just put more effort.

The gospel industry is not for the faint hearts. He is good at what he does and am sure he will go far. Lets support this small boys in the industry.

Recently he has released a new jam Mgani.

Mr.Seed again; this time with ‘For You’

Mr.Seed again; this time with ‘For You’. Is he on a releasing spree? The starborn Empire artist has in the last one week released a new jam and now For You.  Gospel industry is surely getting the best. For You talks about how he does everything for you Christ. Everything I do let me do it for you.

production

Mr.Seed is known for writing his own music and this song is not an exception. The audio was produced by  Yo Alex of Drama House Music. In addition, the song has been edited by Ace Photography.

You know when the audio is great, the video is even better. Can’t wait for the video release. Also, in For You the audio and the beats are great.

Presentation of ‘For You’

It is not always that a song hits in its first week. Although there are less views in this audio, you’ll agree with me that the lyrics are great. The voice that delivers this song is one to watch as time goes by.

I do not like how Mr.Seed introduces this jam, to me it does not sound like gospel. Have you heard what small boys are singing out there? Well I didn’t expect that he would use such in his work. But anyway who am I?

The message in the song is good for the gospel industry. He is talking about how he is going to do things for Christ. The jam is not limited to any audience and it is accessible and easy to understand.

Na Christ mimi siwezi parara;  You know how true this line is.

I’d say that this guy is doing some good work and all we want is for him to market his work out there. His choice of words will sell it and a little extra effort. He has been talking more of blessings and doing this to praise God.

I give the song a rating of 6/10.

‘Nibadilishe’ Mbuvi is back with a new jam

Nibadilishe‘ Mbuvi is back with a new jam. Seems like the gospel is slowly coming back to life. Nibadilishe is all about a prayer for transformation. Mbuvi has that voice that ones it hits the speaker you will start singing along.

The gospel singer has released this new jam at a time when most of the gospel artists are trying to come back. There is something about his voice that attracts people.

Production

Mbuvi is signed under Panache Plume Label. Nibadilishe has been produced by Jaymoh Leyman for Potter’s Hand Studio and the video directed by GK Macharia for MMP.

The team has exhibited great skills. Also, the video is of international standards. In addition, the choice of background is great. It is a water background. Isn’t this creative?

Presentation of Nibadilishe

I feel like this guy is someone who is really trying to come back to the industry. It is at a time when gospel artists are leaving for the secular industry. Mbuvi has a way in which he has delivered this song. It is so easy to flow.

Easy and simple lyrics here and a great voice is what has given this song life. Although he has done well, he has a small fan base. The jam has only garnered less than 2000 views on youtube.

Further, the song has lines of encouragement. He truly confirms that Christ is the answer and giver of new life. Ooh Lord take my heart of stone and give me a heart as pure as you.  The message is so deep here. He goes on to quote some Bible verses. This is a good thing.

Nibadilishe niwe kama wewe..  Is such a good prayer. There is repetition used here and this is what clearly tells us of the songs title. His choice of title is simple but tells it all. The instruments are amazing.

Mbuvi will slowly get back to where he began. I give the song a rating of 5/10.

Mr. Seed says ‘Bless Me’ was it a blessing leaving EMB?

Mr. seed says Bless Me in his new jam. He has been dropping hit after hit after his exit fro EMB records. The talented gospel artist seems to be doing so well in Starborn Empire.

The song, Bless me is all about God blessing. He says that God does not let one down once they trust in the heavenly father.

Bless me comes just a month after his latest release Simama.

Production

This jam is all that one requires to live life today. It has a unique thing being that it was shot by Ovotox International School of Photography. You’ll agree with me that there is some good work in this video.

Bless me has been directed by,Tonnie and directed by Produza Paulo. It just has a great feel in a way. The video and audio are in sync. The beats are great. To me this is one of his greatest work.

Presentation of ‘Bless Me’

There are lines that I won’t let you miss in this jam; ‘ukiishi ukicomplaine shauri yako, mawazo every day shauri yako! mm kwangu naona atanibless.’ There is so much reality in this line. Isn’t this what we keep doing? Complaining has become the order of the day.

In addition, the song has enough message to keep one moving. Lets look at this verse too; Mashida shida mob najua, hakuna ambaye hana shida chini ya jua, lakini siri ukisha mchagua, haezi kuachilia that’s for sure. It is so true, I feel blessed listening to it. He says that problems are there under the sun which we all agree.

There is repetition in this jam. This is a style that has emphasized on the title of the song Bless Me. Also, there is rhyme in this song. I must admit that Mr. Seed really thought about the lines.

Further, he delivers the song in a way that you can tell he is feeling it. It is coming out naturally giving the song life. We need this energy in the gospel industry. I give the song a rating of 7/10.

Guardian Angel and Manolo brings you Kamata

Guardian Angel and Manolo says Kamata. This comes a few weeks after Guardian Angel released his single Kenya. Later, he performed the song during the 56th Madaraka day in Narok. It is a sign that there might be more cooking. The gospel artist duo has now come with Kamata. Kamata roho yangu kamata simply means that Christ has taken care of our hearts. Isn’t this some good gospel.

The gospel industry is slowly being revived with this kind of work.

Manolo is new to the industry and Guardian Angel has introduced him in this new song Kamata.  Manolo’s real name is Emmanuel Mwongela. He is a top Kenyan Singer, Freestyle Rapper, Poet, Songwriter and Instrumentalist.

Production

Kamata is the work of Guardian Angel and Manolo. You can testify that there is a great talent here. The video was directed by Kevin Bosco Jnr and the audio produced by Vicky Pondis & Sifa. In addition to what the team did, the video is good and very creative. Further, the beats and sound are in sync.

Also, I would say that the video has met international standards. Kenyan gospel industry is slowly improving and I hope that this continues. The choice of background is well thought of.

Presentation of Kamata

Guardian Angel truly knows what he is doing. Look at what they are offering their fans with Manolo. In this case Kamata Lyrics are amazing. Also the way they are taking turns is well coordinated.

‘Roho ya binadamu ina vitu nyingi chafu, Inabidi nikupe yangu we utaiosha na damu.’ This is all about salvation. They are just trying to tell you that Christ cleanses our souls with his blood. This is simply what the Bible says.

Also, they talk of Christ holding them and how he saved them. Kamata is repeated severally in the song, not only in the chorus but also in some lines.

We need Christ to hold us. This is a great jam and Guardian Angel is still holding to his call of ministering through songs. I give the song a rating of 7/10. The language can be understood by the old and more by the youths.

Kambua is back with a new song dubbed Njoo

Kambua is back with a new song titled Njoo. Njoo means come. The Queen of gospel music is calling us back to God. It is a good thing that the gospel industry is being revived. Njoo is a song that calls every believer to get back to their 1st love- the love of Christ. There’s grace for, and in every situation.  The audio was done by Teddy B.

Kambua insists that the preaching will go on in buses, on social media accounts and through songs. She has released the song after she got a new role at Royal media services. She will be hosting Rauka Sunday morning show after former host Enid Moraa made a quit. Kambua has proved that she is still in the industry even with the controversies about her.

The audio is so clear and well thought of. The choice of words are so encouraging and this is not just singing but the emotions bring the mood of the song Njoo. The quality of the video is also good and attractive. This is a great talent here. Also the church background in the video brings out the  theme of the song. Kenyan production is really improving and this song just affirms to that.

This song shows a resilient Kambua who is not going to give up on the gospel. In the first verse; “Nyimbo nyingi nimeimba lakini hamkuskia, nitaziimba tena. Kwa mtandao nimeandika lakini hamkusoma, nitaandika tena. Kwa basi mmehubiriwa, kwa soko mmehubiriwa, mtatuona tena. Tuliambiwa ni kelele. Tunakatiza sherehe, mtatatuona tena aah.”  Isn’t this what we do? This verse simply talks of the rejection faced by those preaching the word of God.

“Njoo oh ooh anakuita tena tena. Njoo ooh ooh ooh anakuita tena tena tena. Tena tena, tena.” There repetition in the chorus which emphasizes on the title of the song Njoo.

Kambua is a great artist and I hope that she will be releasing more song. I give the song a rating of 9/10.
