Issa party! Kenyan Amapiano hit maker’s Movaz warombosaji making fans go wild with ‘Okeria Mwoko’

Remember Danger Dinji the Kenyan amapiano song that got so much airplay thanks to Brandy Maina and Movaz Warombosaji? Well, looks like there is a new song in town about to overtake the popular Danger Dinji and we love it!

Well, this time around Movaz Warombosaji decided to release a single from their latest EP which dropped earlier today. Okeria Mwoko being the first song on their extended play was dropped about a week ago; and judging from the numbers, let’s just say – these former dancers are about to take over the music industry.

From the lyrics to the video, it’s evident that these boys did not come to play as they gave it their all; and my favorite part is that this video is unique and well planned.

For those who don’t understand what Okeria Mwoko is, allow me to say that it is just another way of saying ‘hands up’ but in Kikuyu.

Well, with most Kenyans fighting to have local music given enough airplay, I guess having modern songs in our mother tongues wouldn’t hurt either, right? Anyway if you love Amapiano and enjoy good vibes, then the song below is definitely the way to go.

So the president finally lifted the curfew and Kenyans are excited to finally mingle and hangout with their friends but shida ni doh!

Yes, I bet you also agree that to get proper entertainment you need good money; and with this economy – trust enjoyment is only happening on a budget and we hate it.

Anyway….turns out that you’re not the only one struggling with bills everywhere that is judging from Prince Chak’s latest song, Shida ni Doh which he featured comedian cum singer Oga Obinna.

Well after keeping a low profile for months, Prince Chak has once again impressed his fans with a new song; that talks about the struggle of being broke but wanting to live a good life at the same time.

Must admit that the visuals will keep you entertained throughout the video music and the fact that the models are also hard ignore – gives you more reason to check out the new project.

Singer Kish Boy is back with yet another hit song dubbed forever, 5 months after his first project Petrolina that saw him get popular on Social media; all because of his talent.

Well, with Petronila still getting attention from fans who cannot help but admire Kish Boy’s voice; we now have another track dedicated to lovers all over.

Although we cannot call this a love song – all I know is that Kish Boy and fellow singer, Stephen Mercy did indeed give their fans a new hit anthem to keep them busy.

Judging from the visuals to the new banger, it’s obvious to see that singer Kish Boy and Stephen Mercy put in some great work; and the hot looking vixens added more spice to this new project – hence the comments from their fans.

Something different about this song is that despite both being Kenyans, the two played around with a Nigerian vibe – making the new song unique in it’s own way.

Kenyans on social media recently called out Najib Balala and Naomi Campbell for using a Nigerian song to promote Tourism in Kenya.

The song by Olakiri left most Kenyans on social media talking trash; while others went on to inquire why a Kenyan couldn’t be used on the Tourism video – but I think I now have an idea as to why!

Before that, singer Arrow Bwoy has let most of his fans down after being exposed stealing a beat used in his latest project. According to reports and a video prove; it’s obvious to see that Arrow Bwoy used the easy way out by copy and pasting. Shame.

Zero creativity

For a minute fans had flooded his Instagram page congratulating him for the new hit song; only to realize that he was riding on somebody else’s creativity and hard-work.

Apart from the lyrics used on the song and the video concept; we cannot really tell what else is original about this new song. However what we do know is that; Arrow Bwoy this time around did not feel like stepping out his game hence the copy and paste. But was it by force?

Mwalimu Racheal and Timmy Tdat leave tongues wagging after posting steamy half-naked photos

Former Homeboyz Radio presenter Mwalimu Rachael who decamped to the new and vibrant radio station in town; NRG Radio, started her show with unexpected high energy and controversy.

Mwalimu, who hosted her first show called The NRG Transit yesterday alongside singer Timmy Tdat; who will her co-host, stirred up things after posting controversial photos.

The two presenters took a bunch of half naked photos while hyping the show leaving fans with questions on whether they might be having something more than just work between them.

NRG Radio’s launch has been highly anticipated after word slipped out they have poached top presenter from Homeboyz Radio. According to different sources, the radio station is also on the ground currently looking for the best radio talent who they can employ and turn to superstars.

Rapper Noti Flow who is now part of Nairobi Diaries has always had this ‘bad girl’ vibe as seen on most of her videos and photos shared online.

I hear she sees herself as the Kenyan ‘Rihanna’ and this is why she likes to walk around with promiscuous outfits leaving no room for imagination as she shows off everything to everyone!

Not that she looks scary but the real Florence Kutoto aka Noti Flow we saw on the Make up free has left many questioning whether anything about her is real…but that is a topic for another day.

Ijekimora who is a sassy Nigerian artiste, passionate about music has returned to the music scene with this mid- tempo groovy giving her fellow female artists a run for their money.

The new tune titled ‘Shakara’ was produced by the prolific Demsa, giving Ijekimora the opportunity of taking the music scene by storm thanks to the danceable beats.

Ommy Dimpoz is among the Tanzanian artists who love and live for controversy. Though he has taken a while before releasing a new song, the artist has ensured to keep his social media family or rather team entertained.

Just recently he shared a photo of a an iPhone 7 placed next to Vaseline and from what many could tell is that Ommy Dimpoz was actually hinting something.

Could be that the photo had a hidden meaning but according to the singer, the photo was playful and had no meaning. Speaking to Millard Ayo about the photo, Ommy said;

“Sasa tatizo liko wapi? Kama ukitaka simu chukua na mafuta ubaya uko wapi yaani? Fumbo liko wapi? Wewe unae girlfriend au hauna? Simu siku hizi za kisasa Kama iPhone 7 unaweza kuiosha ikichfuka kwa sababu ni waterproof na ukaipaka mafuta.”

However, it is easy to see that he had a different motive, right?

Meet the artist ‘Sean Cza’ taking African dancehall music to another level with his unique melodious voice

With the new artists from this generation, we can all agree that we now have better videos, beats and interesting lyrics changing the face of African music.

There are those who are focusing on hiphop, RnB but – very few have managed to deliver their music through the reggae or rather dancehall music.

However, Sean Cza who refers to himself as the king in this game has released a monster hit track titled ‘At All’ featuring the talents of LasGiidi. The upbeat song that already seems to be a club banger in Nigeria was produced by Dj Rell and Mastered by Paul Demsa .

Sean Cza is however not new in the industry has worked with Timaya before but his latest song has proved to show his full potential which he is still exploring. He is giving the likes of Patoranking, Redsan and Wyre a run for their money as he plans to take over the African music industry:

Popular Hart_the band might have been missing in action for a while now but worry no more as they are set to bring down the biggest show on Friday 14th as revealed.

The band popularly known for songs such as Uliza viatu, Masheesha, nikutazama among other will be bringing down Club Natives tomorrow courtesy of the Famous Friday event that go down every Friday at the lounge.

Among those who will be present is Fred Omondi who will be the MC among other comedians who are set to perform in between the main act. Unlike most events happening in Nairobi, the famous Friday does not require an entrance fee allowing those who enjoy Hart_the band music to turn out as many as possible.

Well, if you had no plan for this weekend then I bet Natives is the place to be!

With how the music industry is slowly evolving new talents are being developed and for this reason I could help but introduce an amazing talent that has shown promising room for growth.

She is called Radi Mziki and her new song dubbed Weko Weko is among the most effluents all songs I have come across in a very long time. Her vocals are amazing and pleasing to the ear. This specific song will not only leave you wanting more but appreciating how well written the lyrics are.

This is however not her first song but one of the many projects she is planning to release in the near future. Her composition is well backed up by the simple visuals as she is seen singing in a studio – and the simplicity of the video makes it even more pleasing to the eye.

Gege’s finest artist Jua Cali is back with a new event that will see him perform along fellow artists and comedian Fred Omondi tonight.

The concert which is set to go down at the Natives club will not only bring together fans but true-die-hard supporters of our local music. The singer will be performing his popular hit songs such as Moto sana, safi sana, Nairobi among others released back in the day.

The main aim of this concert is to remind fans the importance of appreciating their own music, something that will help put the local music on higher chats like what the Tanzanian industry is now doing.

Zero chills: Otile Brown throws shade at Bahati’s new song and asks him to get some vocal training

Just when we thought Bahati had one enemy in the entertainment industry to worry about, singer Otile Brown comes out with guns blazing at Bahati’s new song leaving many wondering whether there is some new beef brewing.

According to Otile Brown the new song is nothing but a bunch of trash with bad lyrics and to top it up Bahati’s vocals need some professional training. The Kistarabu hit maker revealed this in a post shared on his Instagram page but judging from the comments he got…he later pulled it down.

Luckily we managed to get a screenshot of his post and one can also see King Kaka’s comment, which probably was to question Otile Brown’s post. Anyway, this is the first time we are seeing the singer pick a fight with a fellow artist but at the same time we can’t also judge his personal opinions.

However, it is also unacceptable to bring down one of your own when the industry needs more support in order to reach to higher levels like what fellow Tanzanian artists are doing.

Emmie Wanjiku is a fast raising talented singer and song writer to watch out for. She first debuted in the music scene with her solo career in 2015 with her single Desire. She has performed at the Africa Arise Annual conference in Addis Ababa in 2014, invited to attend the SABC gospel Music Awards in Durban 2015 and currently she is interning with Sauti Sol Entertainment just to learn more about music business and get mentorship from the biggest act in East Africa.

She launched her new single MADEM on the 19th of May 2017 at Tree House where she shared the stage with Sauti Sol among other acts.

Her latest song has a pop beat, she talks about how the millennial woman is perceived as a good time girl. This song basically addresses stereotypes that have been associated with women. “As much as I talk about one issue, I feel like it’s high time as women we took a stand about how we want to be perceived or taken by the society.” Emmie added in her statement.

The Video features GQ dancers with high energy choreography. MADEM is produced by Starbiz and directed by cream vision. It was shot in different locations in Nairobi. I have attached the MP3 and artwork below.
