Nothing beats good music accompanied by high quality visuals right? And in my opinion, there is definitely a fine line that all artists have to walk when it comes to creating an epic track.

I mean, If there is no real direction or structure for the song, then the music automatically ends up just sounding like noise. Or wait, maybe I am getting older so that might have something to do with it.

Anyway with that said, popular Olaseni Babatunde professionally known as DJ Ghino has hit with visuals to his latest release “Ronaldhino” featuring Seyi VIBEZ. From the comments left by fans so far, I can confirm that this song is massive, to say the least!

This high energy record will not only capture your attention right from the jump with the nigerian vibe, which gives the song a solid build on the beat and visuals will definitely have you glued on your screen.

They say good music can bring people together and so far, Ronaldhino is party-ready song receiving massive airplay in clubs especially now that life is back to normal after the COVID mess.

Background

For those wondering, DJ Ghino is a Nigerian disc jockey, record producer, songwriter,singer,recording artist,label executive. He is signed to OMG NATION and doubles up as the founder of OMG NATION a music record label based in Lagos,Nigeria.

Apart from being an active artist, DJ Ghino started his professional disc jockey career years back by performing at various night clubs, including mini events and concerts both in Nigeria and International.

Kicking it old school: Reinvention KE bringing back the good old days with creative music

Don’t you miss the old days when Kenyan music was representing everywhere? Okay, I wasn’t really old enough to be allowed in a club but all I know is that most radio stations; from KBC, KISS 100 (Kiss FM and Easy FM (Nation FM) among others couldn’t stop airing Kenyan music.

However with time, things have changed and the current generation has to deal with trash music. Well, not so trashy but truth is hakuna message kwa hizi ngoma since wanaforce kufit in.

But i must admit that I may have misjudged the whole music industry; because of a few characters (gengetone) that mostly choose to glorify women as objects in their music.

Reinvention KE changing the game

However this was before I came across Reinvention KE who have proved that Kenyan music is still alive; and needs just a little boost in terms of support from fans.

Just to prove my point, I recently had a chance to listen to ‘Deejay’ released back in June 2021 by Tipsy and Badderman the duo behind Reinvention and yes…I was impressed. From the lyrics to the video – you can tell that these boys have clearly mastered the early 2000’s Kenyan vibe. And we love it.

Their latest song, Ayaya is however the legit hit that reminds me of the day’s Kleptomaniaxx ruled the airwaves. I mean, there is no grinding, nudity or any 18+ content making it a banger for all age groups; and the hook, Ayaya Ayaya leaves you singing along in the back of your mind.

So far the song has been receiving massive airplay on radio Citizen and the likes of Milele FM which have been on the forefront to support local music.

Innocent boy child gets blocked from achieving his goal! This song is a wakeup call for the boy child this Valentine’s Day

T Broz Africa which comprises of two mellow voiced Identical brothers has been in the music industry for sometime now. They are popularly known for their hit song Kalekye Wakwa which they dedicated to Kalekye Mumo last Valentines Day.

Well after taking their time; they are back with a new hit dubbed Kuku Mfalme. This song talks about a girl trying to protect her girlfriend from a guy she falls in love with.

Being ‘kuku mfalme’ the lady friend plays a spoiler game in the name of protecting her friend. This song reflects on a serious issue happening in our society – whereby the innocent BOY CHILD gets blocked from achieving there goals.

The song will be dropped on Valentines Day and judging from the message it carries; the boy child will definitely make this their 2019 anthem.

Successful projects

The Tbroz Africa have also worked with great high profiled Hollywood Actress/ TV Host Rachel Marete on a song called SUNGA back in 2016.

Among other major projects include Despacito kamba rendition titled ndeto ngito; which was rated as the best rendition by different radio shows both in East Africa. 

End of slaying? Vera Sidika finally gets a job

You can’t talk about slaying and not mention the queen mother of slayers in Kenya, Vera Sidika.

No one slays better than Vera and all ladies have come to terms with this. This is her field and she has always dominated.

That, however, might soon lessen after the popular socialite found “a job” that might be keeping her really occupied. Vera is now an interior designer and has been on Instagram lately gushing over her work.

She gave her living room a facelift with some exquisite furniture and took to Instagram to showcase her work.

“Created this little cute space in my living room in 10 minutes,” she posted. “I love staying indoors….Hope y’all are having a great evening,” she said in another post.

She also had talked about life as an interior designer in an earlier post. Could this be what is keeping her busy and out of Instagram of late? Some fans in the comment claimed that she’s locked indoors because she’s pregnant. Time, all in all, will tell.

 

Talented or Not? Singer Vivian makes a return with Chum Chum after being told she’s not talented

Singer Vivian has released her latest jam called “Chum Chum” just days after critics were up her neck claiming she’s not talented enough.

The singer was forced to fire back at a promoter and some fans who were on social media saying she has never impressed them.

“An influential booking agent from Kenya recently said to me that I seem to have lost direction musically.. well I think this guy has to release at least half a hit song then I can listen to his ‘expertise'” she said then while ranting. 

Not Mainswitch

Her new track Chum Chum, like most of her other songs, is about love and was ghostwritten by Boss MOG. The song, however, was not produced by Mainswitch Records where the singer is based but done by Moran production.

If you have never been to a show where Avril is performing then believe me, you’ve missed out on the best shows then. However this should notbother you as the singer has a treat for her fans.

A few hours after dropping a new song which she worked on with Apass, the sassy singer will tonight be performing her hit songs and hopefully her latest song Babie tonight at the Natives Bar and Grill!

There will be no entrance fee for the lit show which will be attended by several celebrities including the funny man himself, Fred Omondi who will be MC.

Dj’s Steno and Eriqque will be on the decks playing your favorite international songs and local music too.
