There is no greater joy than seeing your own mother turn a year older and for this reason, former Citizen TV’s news anchor Janet Mbugua could not hold back from wishing her mum a happy birthday yesterday after turning a year older.
The lady shared a couple of photos through her social media as a way of celebrating her mum and judging from the captions used on the photos – there is no doubt that Janet was super excited to see her mother and her son’s grandmother continue to age beautifully.
Janet Mbugua however did not disclose what she had in store for her mother, but chances are their entire family could have stepped out for dinner just to enjoy their mother’s special day.

Githeri man aka Martin Kamotho is not only popular in Kenya but around East Africa. His photo has brought life on the internet and unlike what many thought the fella has actually made quite a fortune thanks to the simple photo.

After the IEBC declared president Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the 2017 general elections – there were those who celebrated and of course those who were disappointed by the results.
For this reason most Youths supporting NASA came out on Saturday to demonstrate as they were not satisfied by the results. However, their demonstrations were not peaceful as some were caught on camera destroying public property forcing the police to meet them with the ‘same force’.
However, judging from what the mainstream media reported some of the policemen allegedly used live bullets killing a few people – forcing the likes of rapper Octopizzo to come out and speak about the issue.
The rapper who grew up in Kibera made a point of visiting this place to speak to the Youths on the importance of demonstrating peacefully in order to avoid a repeat of 2007/2008.
Later on, he shared a tweet through his twitter handle saying;
They say that if you can’t beat them, join them but in this case I bet they were not talking about Raila and his army.
After president Uhuru Kenyatta was declared winner on Friday night by the IEBC chairman…NASA supporters could not hide their anger and disappointment which forced them to protest.
However, things did not go as planned as the NASA supporters from both Kisumu, Mathare and Kibera areas engaged with the police which later led to some few deaths here and there.
But since no one wants a repeat of 2007/2008 comedian Jalango through his social media wrote the following message dedicate to #Baba urging him to speak with his army in order to maintain peace. He said;

After Betty Kyallo opened up about what really went on between her and Dennis Okari – we now understand that the two got married to maintain the ‘perfect couple’ image which later turned sour forcing them to split.
Their breakup was however not bitter as they did not yup about it on their social media pages for almost a year until just recently when Betty Kyallo opened up about her life on True Love magazine.
Well…at some point Betty revealed that Dennis Okari has not been in their daughter’s life (Ivanna) for a while nor has he made any effort to visit her. Betty said;
“I was comfortable with him being part of our daughter’s life but he decided otherwise and I’m perfectly fine with it. I respect his decision.”
After this Mpasho has reported that they contacted Denis Okari for a comment but things did not go as they had planned. Apparently Dennis Okari told off them by saying;
“I do not owe you or anyone else an explanation about anything!”

Their is no doubt that KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo is among the top celebrated female anchors that have managed to win the hearts of many Kenyans.
However, not many know some of the struggles they go through. Well, Betty Kyallo has decided to open up about one of the advices she was given by friends to make her voice sound ‘better’ when reading news.
Speaking to the Standard Insight, Betty confessed to say;

“I was told that whisky would make my voice husky and that smoking would make it deeper. But of course these were never an option for me.”
She went on to add that a former colleague James karani once advised that she should try taking some Yoghurt for her voice, but according to Betty Kyallo it did not work out as she expected.
“James Karani (former KTN anchor) convinced me to take yoghurt before going on air to make my voice softer. I do not know if he was being serious or playful because I ended with my mouth being full of saliva. I had to pause and swallow in between sentences while reading news,”
But since her break up with her ex husband Dennis Okari, Betty says that she has learnt that she cannot keep letting everyone tell her what to do. For once she can say no and live her life without trying to impress anyone.
“When I was going through a rough patch, I made a conscious decision not to let what other people said or thought get to me. We all have the freedom to live as we want and make mistakes. I will not let other people’s expectations of me dictate my life,”
According to her…for now she will continue living a normal life that will not be affected by her status in the media industry. She concluded by saying;
“Most people do not realise that there is the career aspect of Betty and a private life. At the end of the day, people forget that I am human and supposed to live my own life. I am not special, it is just that my output is seen on a public platform. I go through the same things other people go through.”
The 2017 general elections in Kenya have not been easy. There are those who lost and conceded defeat but also some like Wavinya Ndenti who are still not contended with the results released by the IEBC.
As announced, the race for the Machakos gubernatorial seat was won by governor Alfred Mutua and it appears that he has already started to celebrate his victory.
For him, the people of Machakos believed in his work and for this reason they decided to elect him back despite Kalonzo’s endorsing Wavinya for the race, aiming to remove him from power since he is afraid of what many happen in 2022 now that Alfred Mutuma has presidential ambitions.
Speaking during an interview Mutuma;
“This victory is special because this competition was not between me and honorable Wavinya Ndeti. Rather, it was between me and Mheshimiwa Kalonzo Musyoka,”
He went on to add;
“Mheshimiwa Kalonzo Musyoka put together all his arsenal and it was not about Wavinya Ndeti; it was about removing Mutua because Mutua was changing the way politics is run in this region of Ukambani that has suffered for many years.”
In conclusion the Governor of Machakos county said;
“We will give Ndeti a job if she is interested. Sina roho ya chuki, nina mapenzi tu katika roho yangu (There is no hate in my heart…there is only love),”
Socialite cum businesswoman Vera Sidika has announced that she no longer has an Instagram account after it got hacked by an unknown person as revealed through her Snapchat and Facebook account.

Well, after trying to check if it wa true…I realized that the lass is no longer on Instagram. Word making rounds on social media is that the account was immediately changed to a different name including ‘Kenya_election’ among other different names.
It is however not clear who hacked the account but many have been wondering whether it could be her ex boyfriend Yommy who she recently publicly embarrassed on social media.
Ommy Dimpoz is among the Tanzanian artists who love and live for controversy. Though he has taken a while before releasing a new song, the artist has ensured to keep his social media family or rather team entertained.
Just recently he shared a photo of a an iPhone 7 placed next to Vaseline and from what many could tell is that Ommy Dimpoz was actually hinting something.
Could be that the photo had a hidden meaning but according to the singer, the photo was playful and had no meaning. Speaking to Millard Ayo about the photo, Ommy said;

When Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari split, everyone had a different tale to tell but no one really knew what happened between these two journalists.
However, speaking to True Love Magazine, Betty for the first time shed some light on why her marriage to Dennis Okari did not last as expected.
From what she revealed it is easy to say that the KTN’s news anchor was not happy in her marriage due to the small small things that were happening between her and Okari.
In her interview she also mentions that Dennis Okari’s family was also involved in her breakup but what forced her to walk away are some of the hardships she had faced throughout her relationship but after realizing that she had gotten married for the wrong reasons she chose to walk away.
We also learn that Betty Kyallo was stood up by Dennis Okari during her traditional wedding (introductions) and shockingly Okari did not pick her calls when she tried reaching him and at some point he switched off his phone leaving Betty and her family stranded after inviting friends and family to their ceremony.
She opened up to say;
“I needed to find out what time their entourage would arrive. But he did not pick up my call. I tried calling him again after an hour and once again it went unanswered.’”
Betty went on to add that her parents tried to contact Okari, again but their calls went unanswered too.
“At 3PM, when we tried to call again, all their phones were off. By the time the sun was going down, it was obvious that I had been stood up on my traditional wedding.”
After this incident her family tried to convince her that her relationship with Okari would not work but the lady was in love and wanted to continue inspiring most of the young people that were looking up to her.
However with time she accepted that the marriage would not work and walked out on Okari – leaving the public to speculating on what had happened until just recently when she opened up about her life.
After welcoming a healthy baby boy, video vixen, socialite cum model Hamisa Mobetto has decided to keep her life on the low but social media users cannot stop asking for the new born’s photo to see if he looks like Diamond Platnumz.

Esma Platnumz (Chibu’s sister) was also among the first people to congratulate Hamisa Mobetto through her Instagram page but when asked why she did that, the lady confidently said that Hamisa Mobetto is her close friend but not her sister in law. She said;

William Kabogo has joined the few politicians who have conceded defeat after the general elections that went down on 8th August.
The Kiambu County Governor will now be replaced by Ferdinand Waititu who is the current Kabete MP.
From the results released by the IEBC it was clear to see that Waititu led with 736,336 votes while Kabogo’s 192,045 votes while James Njuguna who was an independent candidate took the third position with 3972 votes then Gakuru Kanyanja who got 3, 574 votes.
Kabogo has however told Journalists that his life will not stop now that he was defeated. In his statement the renown politician kept a position attitude as he spoke to say,
“My life has not stopped and I have no regrets whatsoever. Doing campaigns was one thing and running government another. There is a lot to do…the future is bright. You live to fight another battle.”

Singer Jaguar is one proud man as he has emerged the winner in the 2017 elections. He is now the Starehe member of parliament judging from the numbers released by the IEBC.
Charles Njagua (Jaguar) won by 52,132 votes against ODM’s Steve Mbogo who got 32,357 votes – which means that he will be the new MP representing people from Starehe.
With this good news, Jaguar has poured out his heart to the people of Starehe in a message where he thanks them for their support and for entrusting him with this tough task ahead of him.

Comedian from popular group ‘Propesa’ Dennis Kipyegon Ruto was yesterday arrested for having two ballot papers for the Senate seat which led him to be taken to the Nyayo National Stadium police station where he was interrogated before his release.
From the stories making rounds on social media, the young man was spotted by an IEBC agent official ,Josphine Maina, who raised the alarm before Kipyegon returned the extra ballot paper.
In his defense Kipyegon said he was given two ballot papers by the clerk but after realizing it, he returned the extra one. One of his brothers, Kimutai said;
