Comedian YY is not doing so bad on his own especially now that there are no paying gigs due to the pandemic. Just like most comedians, YY is investing in online comedy and just like Jalang’o, Njugush; and the rest, he has managed to win more fans through his YouTube skits and interviews.
Speaking to People Daily recently, the young man not only opened up about his life; but shared important information that will come in handy to upcoming comedians.
According to the comedian, life for him was not so easy and for this reason he felt the need to change it. Knowing very well that he had come poor back ground, YY says he made sure to study hard to ensure his future generations has something to be proud of.
For those who did not know, YY is actually a graduate who studied Health Management and Information at the Kenyatta University.

Advice to fellow comedians
Seeing how most people have been affected by the pandemic; YY went on to open up advising the youths and fellow comedians on the importance of staying positive.
He went on to urge them to avoid turning to drugs for quick solutions; as they often end up drowning in depression without realizing it.
Everyone may go through depression as we don’t choose it, but how we handle it is our choice. Drugs and substance abuse isn’t one of the ways to manage it. Instead, it sinks and drowns you even deeper. Remember, choices have consequences.

Bahati has proven to be Mtoto wa Diana in a recent river challenge that almost cost them their lives.
The lovebirds were out on their LimaVest land project that challenged them to face their fears inclusive of getting thrown into the ravaging waters of a freezing river and thereafter a dive through a deep waterfall in Sagana.

The journey kicked off in a team of more than 6 individuals inclusive of several guides just in the event things go wrong.
They started at the shallow banks with Diana´s lack of knowledge on how to swim seeing her struggle to the end. Sadly, Bahati had to be begged to join the challenge for hours but after he eventually did, he was screaming top of his voice and begging his wife Diana to come and rescue him.

All this despite the fact that they had protective floaters on and a boat nearby for rescue. Then came challenge round two when they had to dive from atop a waterfall into the deep waters.
The muddy rushing waterfall drew a fear in the couple, they first prayed ahead of the challenge. Then Diana´s friend, Shiko was the first to jump in and this saw Diana embarrassingly urinate on her pants before everyone. This saw Bahati openly laugh at his wife for such an ordeal.

The funny man had for the longest time been labelled an ‘abuser’ after false claims from his then girlfriend Shiko Phyna went viral on the interwebs.

Controversial singer Willy Paul who quit making gospel music about a year ago is pretty mad at Mcsk Officials. This is after an audit report confirmed that there has been theft of artist’s royalties; yet most artists continue living in poverty despite their hard work.

Speaking on Jalango TV, the Kenyan gospel star revealed he grew up under the care of a single mom who was living with her step-dad. And after the father to her child, Guardian Angel rejected them, life became miserable for them after she turned jobless twice.

At age 5, the kid sought refuge on the streets, becoming the first ever street kid of Butere town. Funny enough, his grandfather from his mum’s side was known as the richest man in that town.
The artist and his mom lived in Kibera, in a self-contained house that would flood with water the minute it rained, before moving to Mwiki where his mom deceptively deceived the landlord of some mzungu donors who would send her money in a few, so that she pays rent.

The lie did not hold for long, forcing her to do the same to several other landlords before it became too tough, sending his son back to the village to get some education. In class 8, a mischievous Guardian Angel collided with one of his classmates where he drew a machete and nearly killed the kid.
Life took a complete turn, the artist became a wanted criminal, ever on the run until he decided he had had enough, returning to the city to live with his mom, under the belief he had given his life to God.

In highschool, he dedicated most of his time to gospel music but it never gave him good returns and soon as he completed his Form Four, his mum asked him to start his own life. No campus, nothing!
He resorted to manual labor, extracting phone cables from beneath the ground, getting paid based on the amount of cables he had recovered. He did so for a week, to no avail before he one day decided to look out for some at GPO, Nairobi where he was almost assured he would find some.

Hardly did he know, he was winking at death.
“I did not tell my friends because I knew this was gong to be my breakthrough. Second attempt digging, I was literally blown off by electricity that roasted me from top to bottom. I was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital but I took off even before admission, never to return. The company only paid me 200 bob that day,” he recalled.
