Eddie Butita hints of his next move after ditching NTV’s ‘The Trend’ show after 5-year mark

Kenya’s popular comedy kid, Eddie Butita left fans in shock after announcing his untimely exit from NTV’s The Trend show where he made his first talk-show debut on TV.

According to the 27-year old, all he did was to make a first appearance on the show and it became a permanent job. A hustle he would probably never have earned were it not for the show’s former host, Larry Madowo who dared to believe in him and gave him the first chance to be a part of a show that grew into something none of them had foreseen.

For Eddie, he learnt and laughed alot, changed what he was able to but it is time he gave an opportunity to the youngsters to sprout their dreams and showcase their potentials to the world.

“It is time to give chance to other talents to get an opportunity to grow and shine with greatness,” he penned.

Butita’s next move?

However, that did not mean that that was going to be the last fans would hear of or even see the kid on their screens. Butita hinted he was still on this journey with the Nation Media Group-owned TV station but failed to delve into details.

Assuring his fans that much more, bigger and better was in store for them because being at The Trend was just but the beginning of another chapter in his comedy career.

Kenya’s Bonfire adventures MD, Sarah Kabu did the unimaginable for her husband over the weekend, after making a multi-million purchase of a retirement home for her husband, a dream come true on his birthday.

The famous Jabo Jabo couple gave fans a look into their simple yet rich retirement home during the celebrations that went down in Olpajeta, Nanyuki.

Inside Kabu’s retirement home

The pair gave us a look of the home’s exterior, fitted with large glass windows as walls of the different rooms upstairs, each well furnished with rare exotic African furniture.

Surrounded with bushes and trees at a distance, the couple did not think much of having a fence around their home, open to all who would pay a visit, with a sign board at the entrance with the words “Welcome to The Kabus retirement home.”

The front yard graced the parking lot while the backyard would be where the couple hosted their social events. With long dining tables and outdoor canvas seats setting the mood for a communal feel, allowing us a view of the large projecting balcony the duo had to enjoy the priceless views of the wild.

Sarah gifts Simon Kabu dream retirement home

In the presence of close friends and family, Mr Kabu was treated to a magnificent birthday event by his wife, Sarah who made his dreams come true with the surprise of his dream retirement home in the wild.

For Simon, as they drove through bushes and thickets, he first thought they were having a bush lunch only to his surprise to discover that his wife had brought to reality, his plans to own a private getaway in the wild when he needed to unwind from the city’s hustling.

Every time the couple would visit the Olpajeta conservancy, Simon would always wishfully admire “ningetaka kuretire hii place” but after Corona happened, his plans stalled. Hardly did he know that his wife was busy taking huge bank loans to give him his dream retirement home. What a love!

20 year old Yasmeen Saiedi, popularly known as Maria is one humble lady many kenyans have come to love and appreciate. Many say her talent is in born as she often delivers her character on Maria; in a way that many East Africans can relate with.

So far she has become a sweetheart to many kenyans who continue to celebrate her by supporting her projects on social media. With a talent like that, of course Yasmeen has been able to catch the attention of many; hence bagging her first ambassadorial job with popular company, Indomie Kenya.

Away from that we also understand that the lady spent her weekend giving back to the society; especially now that doors of opportunity continue to open for her. This past weekend as seen on her social media pages, Ms Yasmeen was joined by friends as she visited several families in Kibra.

Her main was however to give back to the society especially the humble locals who often relate to her character on TV show Maria.

Having put herself in the shoes of ‘Maria’ the lady now understands that life can sometimes be too harsh. For this reason, the lass spent her weekend donating food and sanitary towels to women from Kibra. Through her social media page Yasmeen went on to post;

Am happy and grateful about today, my first CSR with @indomie_kenya. I started from kibra and I appreciate the love and support I get from you everyday. Today was amazing I went back to where it all started; we donated food stuffs and sanitary towels to over 400 women and young girls in Kibra. it was all about sharing hope and encouraging the girls to believe in themselves that is why we dubbed the innitiative “Jiamini”.

Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aime Baraza’s eldest brother, Melvin has come out to reveal how his father rejected him at a very tender age.

The eldest of the three boys of the Baraza family took to his social media page to tell his story as a child, growing up without the foundation of a father’s love who was present but with no love towards him.

Sharing a sweet photo with one of his daughters lying on his back, Melvin attested that a father’s love is the foundation of his children. A love through which the young ones build on and are able to face storms the world throws at them.

The sad narrative

However, that was never the case of his childhood.

“I grew up facing great rejection and resentment from my father. I was fearful, felt unworthy and for the better part of my childhood longed for his affirmation,” painfully narrated Melvin.

Unfortunately, the more he kept seeking affirmation from his father, the more it got worse.

“…it only got worse to the point of being kicked out of the home I knew at the tender age of 17,” he continued.

Looking back, it is not the tears or the pain he underwent that matters, but the lessons his childhood taught him that have seen him become a present and loving father to his 6 children. Because for him, breaking the curse of rejection is what matters most!

Today God has blessed me with 6 children whom I love with my life, an opportunity to break the curse of rejection and change the narrative.

Bongo songbird, Vanessa Mdee took fans by surprise after a video of her teaching lover Rotimi her native language, Swahili surfaced.

While overseas, where they live together, Mdee teased the Power film star asking what Kiswahili words he had learnt from her so far and what they meant.

A bored and not so vibrant Rotimi sweetly responded ‘pole baby’, words he had been told over and over again by the petite lass, that he had already gotten used to it. But how he was saying it and the accompanying facial expression was bomb!

Singer Size 8 and husband DJ Mo have apparently been facing some marital issues for years now; but the two continue to deny this every time this part of their lives is exposed.

However thanks to a few of Edgar Obare’s followers; we have every reason to believe that all is not well at DJ Mo’s house.

Apparently the guy has been caught cheating by his wife a number of times; but being the good wife she lets it slide until just recently when she decided to unfollow the father of her 2 kids!

Yes, DJ Mo who is among the top ambassadors of Christianity in the country was unfollowed on social media by his wife; a move that confirmed that all is not well with the Muraya’s.

So far the gospel DJ has been linked to one Joyce Maina who shared their selfie on social media just recently.

The exposè done by Edgar Obare went on to suggest that the two lovers have been secretly seeing each other; however thanks to private investigators on social media – they finally unmask the man Joyce has been flaunting yet hiding on her posts.

Anita Nderu finally came out after years of hiding her true sexuality! Well, the lady confirmed that she is indeed part of the LGBTQ community through a tweet that left many Kenyans talking.

Apart from being trolled for talking about having kids in future; Kenyans went on to remind the lady of the process involved in having kids is. To them a lady and a cannot have children – and since most continue to assume that she is a full blown lesbian then there is no way pregnancy will happen!

Diana Marua was forced to let one of her nannies go after recent developments that could not be avoided.

Through her vlog, the mother of two revealed that one of her nannies, Jane was expectant for the new man in her life and it was time she bid her goodbye as she starts a new journey with her lover.

It so happened that when Jane had gone to visit her children and her mom back home just recently before Corona hit, she got locked down in her home area and meanwhile, met someone she fell in love with.

As Diana Marua and family bid the nanny goodbye, the lass decided to surprise Jane who she had worked with for at least an year, with some of Majesty and Heaven’s clothes they were no longer using, Diana’s maternity dresses and a new phone just to stay in connection and as a way to say Thank You.

Sadly, the day before her departure, Bahati’s first child, Morgan broke down to tears after the sudden announcement and Diana could not help but console him.

The other nanny, Irene Nekesa got emotional as well, but wished her colleague nothing but love and light. The family cut a cake to mark the day and celebrate moments shared as Jane finally packed her bags and left.

As Diana was seeing her off to the stage, she promised to cover for her maternity fees when the nanny was due delivery as well as paid in full her salary for the month with a bonus to top it up.

The Senators were debating about putting efficient laws in place to guard the moral standards of the Kenyan people especially the youth, who are the greatest percentage of users.

The politician further urged fellow members that it was important to guard Internet usage locally and especially among the younger generation who fall prey to all sorts of immoral content.

The funny kid decided to anchor weather forecast in one of our local media studios, wearing a tight ladies’ dress, old heels, full makeup plus a wig to complement his new look.

Taking up the role of our local news anchors, Eric walked in studios, acting like a slayqueen who had just landed the job, making funny poses and an attitude while giving ‘her’ director all sorts of instructions.

Nameless and family battling tough times as dad is suddenly hospitalized

As Nameless and Wahu marked their 15th wedding anniversary, his dad was spending nights on a hospital bed set to undergo head surgery after suffering blood clots in his head.

Opening up on the unfortunate incident, the celebrated artist revealed his dad was battling a condition Subdural Hematoma that causes collection of blood in an inner layer of the head, which caused him minor strokes.

Even as the Mathenge’s lit a candle to celebrate the couple’s milestones in their love life, the artist admitted it was nerve racking for them. Having too see their dad undergo such a sensitive surgery in his old age, was not easy for the family.

Surgery turns out successful

Fortunately, after 10 days in hospital, Mathenge Sr., successfully underwent the head surgery in the hands of neuro-surgeon Dr D. Olunya and his team. The same doctor who treated Nameless 3 years ago for a threatening brain condition.

“Today I give thanks to God because he got discharged and the doctor was happy with his recovery process. Now its just some home nursing care and mzee will be good . He is strong for 84 year, delicate but strong????????????????,” penned Nameless on his Instagram page.

The singer further disclosed that the hospital bill had ballooned into a crazy sum but fortunately enough, NHIF had come through for him and his loved ones to cater for part of the bill and he can never be more grateful for that.

Especially at a time like the Corona season????????‍♂️when things are tough ..all in all just want to give thanks???????????????? .Today I celebrate life???????? and second chances!! Controversial details of Kenya’s popular reality TV show Nairobi Diaries have emerged after a recent ugly expose by its former socialites.

The show’s former actress Black Cinderella featured Chacha and Mwarnicky who recently dramatically left the reality show after payment arrears and consistent torment from their ‘evil spirited’ producer Janet Mwaluda.

The three decided to spill the beans on what had been going on behind the scenes in a show they thought would see them get productive and put their talent to work only to be shocked by the kind of dirty work that went on behind the curtains.

According to the girls, Janet was very corrupt, would steal money from their handbags during shoots, pay them peanuts and even sleep with the socialites’ husbands.

“I am very hurt by your actions Janet. I hate you so much! Why are you misusing innocent children? You bring them to your show, drive them crazy, make them look like cheap wh*res, simply because you want money and for your show to fly high. We can’t even pay rent,” angrily bashed Chacha.

Janet allegedly went to the extent of drawing enmity between cast members, spreading all sorts of lies among them and threatening their lives. Chacha declared she was taking this matter before the Court of Law to seek justice.

“You are so old yet so cursed. You are barren and very stupid outside there, spoiling young innocent girls but it shall never be well with you! Pendo came in as a petty thief and left as a cocaine addict. Nobody has left that show better, myself I left the show psychologically tortured,” jumped in Black Cinderella.

Mwarnicky accused the female producer for sexually harassing her and making advances on her, promising her more than her man could give her.

The actresses warned young Kenyans looking for business in the show that it was rotten and not worthy the sweat or blood.

“Ezekiel Mutua please shut down this Nairobi Diaries show! There is nothing going on there,” screamed Mwarnicky.

You are such an animal! You will kill people very soon on that show because of your evil lies. You are selling us to you brothers and rich sponsors as prostitutes. Kenyans please listen, this show is scripted and malicious.
