Kenyan celebs should stop cheapening the electoral process

If there is a complaint Kenyan youth have, it is that they are consistently treated as a joke by the political class and I would argue that Kenyan celebs should largely bear the blame for this. Why do I say this? Well, it is because Kenyan celebs -especially the Z-listers are always trying to do anything to grab onto fast slipping relevance so they have started announcing their dive into politics.

Comedian Professor Hamo Declares Interest In Politics, Vies For Nakuru Seat

The new political drive is not borne of civic responsibility or the innate urge to change or create policies that will make life better for Kenyan youth. Nah, your favourite Kenyan celebs have realised they are nomlonger relevant and every recent stunt they pulled have flopped. They have realised they are no longer doing the numbers they used to on YouTube nor do their comedic performances elicit as many laughs as they used to so now they want your support because they want to become your area MCA or MP.

It is actually insane just how myopic and clownish this mess is. Kenyan celebs think little of Kenya’s electoral process. And perhaps we should not blame them because we have been raised by our parents to accept bullshit political leaders who are little more than avaricious sociopaths and psychopaths hellbent on robbing our national coffers blind.

Willy Paul seeks help from the DCI following Diana Marua’s rape attempt accusations

However, we as a people should stop blaming the older generation of voters and the leaders they chose. We can literally make a change and though I know this rant is going to fall on deaf ears. However, we do need to have a serious conversation about why Kenyan celebs are announcing that they are trying to get into politics.

In the past, members of parliament such as Jaguar (Starehe constituency) have spoken just a handful of times in the years they have been in the August House. So what is he doing there? And now we have socialites and bimbos who have declared they have little else to offer than their sexuality declaring their political intent. Is it any wonder why airheaded female politicians are body shaming each other? they both know they cannot attack the other’s development track record nor their qualifications other than to attack the shape of each other’s body.

As a result, we are raising an entirely new generation of politically irresponsible voters. People who will vie something that affects the trajectory of our lives and the destiny of our nation as a joke. I would prefer it if the Kenyan celebs attempting to vie for office would actually talk about something other than their intent. They have the platforms. Some of them have over 1 million followers across social media platforms yet all they have done is show us how big a clown they are.

We have socialites (accused of prostitution), singers and comedians turning the electoral process into a circus. we do not need any more of this as we are already having a tough time rooting out the chaff from the wheat. And Kenyan youth are incredibly impressionable. Or maybe I am just a frustrated youthful Kenyan tired of being used as a prop for political playmakers who think development is giving us a wheelbarrow and we keep dancing about it. Or inciting us to “remove madoadoa” and then think we are too stupid to see through the dog-whitcle political rhetoric. I want more for Kenyans and some things are way too serious to allow jokers and clowns to trample and poke fun at.

Frasha’s Scandal With Phieso Will Haunt His Campaigns

Frasha has declared his interest in vying for Athi River Township Member of County Assembly in the upcoming general elections. But I would bet the house that his campaign will face an uphill task trying to deal with the scandal.

Musical Artist Frasha Set To Vie For Athiriver Political Seat

In case you’ve conveniently forgotten, allow me to remind you of some of what Edgar Obare’s expose revealed to us… That he was in a relationship with an upcoming artist, Phieso, and she decided to put him as a violent man racked with insecurities.

It was hilarious to see that she had conveniently chosen to abscond from all accountability of her decision making because she had initially agreed to jump into bed with the 45-year-old Frasha who she was now trying to shame.

Alleged side chick sends Frasha’s wife message about ‘their Fisi husband’

It was equally hilarious to realize that she is more renowned for her bedroom trysts with the married man than for her own craft. Food for thought but it is clear that for girls such as her, the men she chooses to bed are a stepping stone as they eclipse her personal achievements.

But back to Ndugu Frasha. He has busied himself with campaigning and that is actually going swimmingly but I wonder what he will do when he has to face his opponents and they bring up this high jinks.

“He beat me because I refused having sex without protection” Alleged side chick exposes Frasha after affair ends in tears

I would have a go at him for these public indiscretions were I in their portion. Hell, I would advise them to hunt for more details and even invite her to perform at my campaigns.

Frasha cannot even try to cut the image of a family man now. Then again, this is Kenya and you would be hard-pressed to find a single politician who doesn’t have a sex scandal or some bastard tucked away somewhere.

Rapper Frasha is glad he stopped drinking: I once spent over Sh500,000 in one month

But then there is the accusation Phieso made that the P-Unit member is a violent man. I would use that to alienate his female voters. I would push to paint him in the most vile light. Why? Well, it’s nothing personal but politics is a dirty game.

But I have just given him some insight into what he faces so he needs to actually start formulating a plan on how to deal with this. Instead, he will start calling this article a hit piece made by one of his political enemies -pretty standard diatribe from Kenya’s political class.

Kenyan celebrities talking about American race issues is hypocrisy

Kenyan celebrities are weighing in on the recently cowardly and callous killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police officer. And while there is nothing wrong about Kenyan celebrities with no connection to the political temperature in America adding to their voice to the millions of others calling out the institutionalized racism in America, one has to also look to see whether these same guys speak up when things are thick in Kenya.

Who did it better showing off guns? 15 photos of Kenyan celebrities brandishing deadly assault rifles

And we did some checking and realized that the same guys currently touting their global villager citizenship are usually mute when Kenya is up in flames. These same Kenyan celebrities are clowns.

You see, as trump pointed out, Kenya is a shithole nation. We have so many issues at the moment that we need to address. But be that as it may, Kenyan artists would prefer to virtue signal and talk about distant issues over in the land of the brave, the home of the free where they will suffer no repercussions.

Mwakideu: It’s time Kenyan celebrities also storm Tanzania and steal their women like they are doing to us

When post-election violence erupted, how many people came out to denounce it early on rather than waiting for ethnic and tribal diatribe to be drawn up for them? How many Kenyans recently spoke up about the disputed and divisive general elections that had to be re-conducted? How many Kenyan celebrities have been talking about the still existing internally displaced people? Or the rampant and widespread corruption that has seen our shithole country sink to demoralizing levels of depth that threatens the wellbeing of future generations?

I will wait for you to point them out.

I would love to see the Jua Calis and the Janet Mbuguas raise their voices when Kenyan police batter protesters. i would love to see Kenyan celebrities talk about unlawful and cruel evictions.

Frasha supports King Kaka in impunity battle ‘Wajinga Sisi’

Frasha has joined King Kaka in the battle of telling the truth in his new song Wajinga Sisi. This is in continuation of the Wajinga Nyinyi hit released by King Kaka.

Frasha has openly highlighted the difficult times that Kenyans are going through.  Revolution is inevitable this time around. Kenyans are at a time where nothing matters.

Wanjinga Sisi echoes the earlier words by King Kaka where he pointed out the gaps in the Kenyan government. In a country where corruption has become the order of the day, poetry seems to be talking.

Frasha calls on the corrupt judicial system

Into the Wajinga Sisi song, Fresha hits on some of the scandals that have drained the country and how they were forgotten.

“Hello King Kaka. Ni Frasha hapa. Maze hii fight alone huwezi toboa. So nimeamua ku stand na wewe. So kabla wani summon, wacha nitoe yangu sermon,” read the lyrics.

Frasha goes on to highlight some of the things that King Kaka failed to mention in his earlier piece of work. According to the Wajinga Sisi version, he calls on the judiciary who has on a couple of times failed Kenyans in the fight against corruption.

Frasha says that they have killed justice by releasing these corrupt politician on bond of Ksh 2 million whereas their case is worth more than Ksh 2 billion.

“Naskia Waiguru alikusue. Is this true? Funny vile judiciary imekuwa circus. Judge na politicians wakiwa main acts. Mshukiwa anaachiliwa kwa bondi ya Ksh 2 million na kesi yake ni ya Ksh 2 billion. Nani atatupigania? Hatujui maguru wa NYS na Ruto na makesi za mashamba . Scandals za mahindi na story ya Mumias na sukari,” added Frasha.

Wajinga sisi speaks of brainwashed Kenyans

Frasha has also condemned pastors who have been lying to netizens but at the end of the day calls Kenyans fools. This is because they will still flock the same churches.

“Na hata kama wewe ni pastor unang’ang’ana. How can you have such a deceitful tongue? But Sunday bado sisis tutajazana. Wajinga Sisi,” he says.

In addition to the great piece of work, Frasha reminds us of the SGR saga where Kenya became a dumping for what China did not need. This came in the name of the failed Standard Gauge Railway line.

“Story ya SGR tuliwacha kuicompare na Ethopia na wale walikuwa wanapiga kelele walinyamazishwa pia,” added Frasha.

It is clear that from this Wajinga Sisi song Kenyans are tired and musicians have resulted to using artwork to fight for justice.

In conclusion, Frasha has done a good job and gets a rating of 8/10.
