Rosemary Odinga explains why she has replica of late Fidel Odinga’s skull in her living room

Fidel Odinga died on January 4th 2015. Rosemary Odinga decided to commemorate her late brother by putting a replica of his skull in her living room.

A replica of a human skull in a house may sound crazy to many people but it’s not strange in Mexico where Rosemary bought the idea from.

Speaking during an interview with Victoria Rubadiri, Rosemary explains that she was touched by the Mexican tradition of honoring the dead and she decided to buy a skull in honor of Fidel Odinga.

“There was a time I went to Mexico for a conference representing my party ODM. And it happened to be around the month of November. Then I found so many of these skulls all over and when I asked why they said November 2nd is known as the day of the dead,” said Rosemary Odinga in part.

Fidel’s birthday

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 2nd throughout Mexico in remembrance of friends and family members who have died.

Rosemary says that November 2nd is also Fidel Odinga’s birthday, she reveals that she decided to buy the skull in memory of her late brother. She put the skull in her living room so that Fidel could be with her all time.

“And so they have these skulls, where they light up these skulls with candles and they prey for all those who have departed on November 2nd. Incidentally November 2nd happens to be my late brother Fidel’s birthday, so I bought this skull in memory of my brother. And I put it here in my house so that I am with him everyday,” Rosemary explained to Victoria Rubadiri.

Kirigo Ngarua and Prezzo are some of the celebrities who made it to Fidel Odinga’s close circle of friends. The former Citizen TV anchor reveals how she was to meet with Fidel just a day before he passed on.

Fidel Odinga died on January 4th 2015 at his home in Karen. The deceased was supposed to meet up with Kirigo Ngarua the previous day.

Kirigo opened up about that the events of January 3rd in an interview with blogger Yvonne Aoll. She reveals some of the intimate things Fidel and her shared including their conversations, banter etc.

Rendezvous

Kirigo says she was supposed to meet Fidel at Artcaffe a day before he passed on. She explains that there was a mix up as she ended up Artcaffe in Junction while Fidel was at Artcaffe in Westlands.

“I spoke to Fidel the day before he passed away. We were supposed to meet up that day. I was at the Artcaffe in Junction, and he asked me to meet him at the Artcaffe in Westlands, and I thought, I can’t leave one Artcaffe to go to the next one, that would be ridiculous. So we put the meet-up off and planned for a later date. And then, he died,” said Kirigo Ngarua.

Memories od Fidel Odinga are still fresh in Prezzo’s mind. The rapper eulogized his deceased friend as he commemorated his third death anniversary.

Fidel Odinga was found dead on January 4th 2015 at his Karen home. His death was a great shocker considering he was out partying hours before he was discovered dead.

Late last year Prezzo dedicated a song ‘Vumilia’ to Fidel Odinga. The rapper celebrated the life of his fallen friend to mark the 3rd year since his passing.

“My brother Castro, seems like it was just yesterday, you still alive around us spiritually & always will be. I dedicated a song for u & all our loved ones that we lost. Funny enough I know you’ve heard it from up above….say w’sup to Oscar & Firoz 4 me…..till we meet again ??,” Prezzo wrote in part.

Prezzo has finally reinvented himself. The rapper has dropped unbelievably awesome song to eulogize his late father and fallen friends including Raila Odinga’s son Fidel Odinga.

Prezzo dropped the new song dubbed ‘Vumilia’ on December 8th. ‘Vumilia’ is a tribute song to the rapper’s father and friends who have passed on.

The song also encourages other people who have lost their loved ones. Prezzo tells his father how life has been since he passed on when he was just 13 years old.

“13 paps passed away, i remember it just like yesterday…. I miss you, i know you see me. Since you gone shit hasn’t been easy. Taking care of moms, my siblings need me, but you taught me wherever need be. Siku hizi inabidi kuwa tough tough time zikizidi,” Prezzo rapped.

I do this for Fidel

Prezzo also eulogies his friends Oscar, Feroze and Fidel Odinga. Feroze (Nazizi’s late brother) was a member of Prezzo’s defunct Cash Money Brothers (CMB).

Fidel Odinga and Prezzo were also best friends. The death of Raila’s son in January 2015 devastated Prezzo who couldn’t come to term with it.

“For Oscar, Feroze, yes i do this for Fidel,” Prezzo eulogized his fallen friends in his new song.
