I love good music and every time I come across a song that I can’t get enough of, I often feel the need to inform you, our readers, about it because good things should not be enjoyed alone.
There is a group of artists from Mombasa by the name Neica and they have really gotten people because of their new track with Exray, who is one third of Boondocks Gang, dubbed Shika.
Shika, which is a Swahili word that means catch, has been getting a lot of airplay on both TV and radio stations due to its catchiness. It’s one of those songs that you just want to keep listening to.
Other than the dope beat, I also love the lyrical prowess of the trio. Their rhymes are well thought out and blend well with the instrumentation.
Interestingly, Neica, which is made up of three biological brothers namely, Zamir, Kelvis and Elvis are just getting started in the local industry but one would think that they have been doing this for many years.
I also loved the video concept. Although it is simple, the videographer really brought it to life. The styling, locations, scene transitioning were also on point.
Watch Shika below and tell us what you think.
