Dana De Grazia tattooing Eric Omondi’s names on her body is a turn-off

Dana De Grazia is a former Ebru TV media personality whose tattoos are rather striking. She really likes her ink and it shows. She is a canvas for various artists and some of her work is admittedly beautiful but what has really caught my attention is the fact that she decided to tattoo a man’s name on her flesh.

Nairobi! Former Ebru TV Presenter Tattoos Her Thighs With Eric Omondi’s Name (Video)

This is usually a no-no for any sensible individual unless ofcourse it is of one’s parent or child. Some foolhardy individuals get the name of their lovers tattooed on them but in truth, life is in constant flux and as a result, so are our emotions and relationships.

Dana De Grazia would be off for putting a lover’s name on her flesh but she decided to do something more perplexing; she has tattooed Eric Omondi’s name on herself. This is a rather peculiar thing given we have received no indication that she was involved with the comedian let alone seriously dating him.

Former Nairobi Diaries actress parades her ‘birthday suit’ online

That leaves me wondering whether this is all a stunt. Perhaps Eric Omondi got Dana De Grazia to tattoo his name on her for some new project the two are working on together. And this is the most pleasant assumption I have on the matter because the contrary could be proof of an unhealthy obsession.

Dana de Grazia posing

Her having a lot of tattoos is already a turn-off for most men. However, now her having Eric Omondi’s name tattooed on her is almost an assured death knell for romantic relationships becoming serious relationships. Because no man wants a woman who advertises her longing (and belonging) to another man.

What Dana De Grazia has done in effect is to declare she is all about Eric to the point of getting what was previously a permanent mark on her skin to give it some permanence. To begin with, tattoos were traditionally a masculine custom. Warriors in several cultures the world over would tattoo themselves.

Dana de Grazia has extensive tatts

After a while, the tattoo culture became one of the sailors and then eventually criminals way of wearing their CV for all to see. Dana De Grazia is one of the women who embraced this custom but it is still considered a uniquely masculine trait and in a lot of circles a low-brow, low-class thing to do. I know this because I know a friend who has sleeves that he got in his younger days and he admitted that he has on occasion suffered indignities in certain circles because of them.

If Eric Omondi wants Wife Material to continue as a success, here’s what he needs to do

I digress. Dana De Grazia has gotten entire masterpieces done on her but men do not view these as such. If she is a lesbian then perhaps this entire opinion of mine holds no water. But if she isn’t she would have to settle for low-value men. Because I cannot see a reality in which a high-value corporate company man invites her to a high powered cocktail with his peers as his date.

To add to this, the only special niche of man I can see who would be comfortable with her having another man’s name on her body as he continues to treat her as his “queen” is if he is a cuckold. Either way, Dana De Grazia’s decision doesn’t seem like a logically sound one to me.

If Eric Omondi wants Wife Material to continue as a success, here’s what he needs to do

Eric Omondi is a comedian whose story reads like an inspirational mantra. He started with nothing as a nobody. Then he went into the Churchill Show and for some reason, Churchill decided to mentor him and we watched as he grew from an unknown comic to a household name.

‘Shakilla Ana Tabia Mbaya’ Eric Omondi Reveals

Then he left to try to strike it out on his own and that show flunked horribly. He had to eat humble pie, tuck his tail between his legs and walk back to Churchill to ask for a second chance. And Eric Omondi was lucky enough to be granted that boon.

Eric Omondi

He rebuilt himself and made sure when he had a sturdy fanbase when he decided to depart a second time. This time, when he left, he got the support of his mentor and he moved on with life. But because he didn’t really have a steady gig, he would ping on and off like a blip on our collective radar.

Will Eric Omondi’s Ex Chantal Feature In Wife Material Season Two?

He decided to focus on social media (Instagram) comedy and Eric Omondi grew his brand on the platform to the immense numbers he currently enjoys. That was a delight to watch even though from time to time he has had to indulge in some cringe comedy that made him seem more like a buffoon than a comedian.

Eric Omondi
“I’ve been on a gym workout routine for 8 months,” Eric Omondi explains his ‘sudden’ weight gain

Eric Omondi would be indulging in toilet humour aswell as some skits that were ludicrous. But it was not all bleak as he found he had a strong mind for ads as he would create the most hilarious ads that would go viral. That is something everyone across the divide of fans and haters have to agree with.

Eric Omondi Reveals Why Sponsors Ditched Him After Staged ‘Wife Material’ Show

He has now come up with an idea for comedic shows that he shares (or is the word publishes) on his YouTube channel and the first, Wife Material is a major success thanks in no small part to the inclusion of Shakilla.

Eric Omondi
Comedian, Eric Omondi

But now that he has announced it will have a second followup season, he seems to want to include himself in it as the main act once more and I am of the opinion this will be a major problem. Eric Omondi is the one guy who starred in the previous show and it concluded with his “wedding”. Only for him and everyone involved to admit there was no such conclusion and it was all a ruse.

Why Eric Omondi’s ‘Wife Material’ Season Two Won’t Be A Big Deal To Netizens

This negates the need for any other women to participate in a second season. He made the blunder of showing that the show is a joke. He needs to now get another celebrity to star in season two. That way, women will have a reason to apply for admission onto the cast and then to be a part of the show.

Eric Omondi
Eric Omondi showing off his gains

Imagine if he decided to get say, Willy Paul to get onto the show. Or Exray. That would be a smash hit. He should move back and handle the production and directorial tasks of the show and let someone else get in on the action to keep it fresh.

Eric Omondi needs to stop moping and talking about his ex Chantal

For a long time, Eric Omondi was dating the Chantal Grazioli. And for most of us, we had no idea who she was other than being his girlfriend. On his end, the comedian went out of his way to get her some clout, including getting her to jump in on some of his comedic skits.

“I was going to marry her for sure” Eric Omondi opens up about breakup with fiancé

To be fair, she is the type of woman a lot of men would find attractive so she quickly built up a social media following. Eric Omondi was really excited to be dating her and he would post her everywhere he could, to the point of pedestalizing her.

Eric Omondi
Eric Omondi with Chantal back when they were dating

As happens in such relationships, the partner who has been pedestalized has no option but to look down at the other partner and that is how things played out with their relationship with Eric Omondi eventually getting dumped -although if you ask him, the breakup was mutual.

Why Eric Omondi’s ‘Wife Material’ Season Two Won’t Be A Big Deal To Netizens

While Chantal has kept things moving, Eric Omondi has been constantly dredging up the past, constantly yammering on about their relationship and he recently decided to let the world know that he had been planning on marrying her when their relationship went belly up.

eric omondi
Eric Omondi performing a skit

The biggest problem with his constant whining about his former beau is that it is coming off as simping. And beyond it coming off as simping, it is also making him off as a low value male in comparison to her. He is Eric Omondi. He needs to start acting like he knows he can get a dozen other beauties. He needs to realize that he has done the hard work to elevate his stock so he shouldn’t be pining for anyone.

Eric Omondi’s ex Chantal Grazioli bags herself a handsome Mzungu boyfriend

That is why all the headlines being written about Chantal and her new man declare that she upgraded. And it is cringeworthy at best because this is a man who did the hard work of making comedy a viable career. he is a maverick who has finally struck his gold vein yet he cannot get over the one woman who dumped him.

Eric Omondi
Eric Omondi back in 2019 when they were dating

Also, to make matters worse, his constant pining for his ex puts off other women (including the high value options) who look at him and see a man who isn’t over his ex. You can imagine what any woman who he is currently seeing is thinking everytime she sees him open his pie hole and rather than make a joke, he is pining about Chantal. Come on Eric Omondi, do bettter.

For Eric Omondi, reuniting with Jacque Maribe would be a big blunder

Eric Omondi and his baby mama, Jacque Maribe have finally come out to reveal that they share a love-child together. You see, for the longest time, a lot of rumours and gossip surrounded the issue of paternity regarding Jacque Maribe’s son.

“Eric Omondi recently approached me and hinted we can get back together,” Jacque Maribe spills (Video)

We knew she had a son but she had managed to remain mum about who the father was. It was not until she was dragged to court that we found out that the rumours were all false. You see, some of the people linked to the child are the ones I would only mention if I wanted to risk being taken in either an Edgar Obare-esque fashion or for you old heads, like Bogonko Bosire who was never heard from again.

Jacque Maribe
Friendship is, and always will be us – Jacque Maribe to Dennis Itumbi

So we found out that Eric Omondi was the baby daddy and he was a piss poor example of a father figure. They have since mended their fences and are now co-parenting.

“He jumped ship” Jacque Maribe opens up about her pregnancy and baby daddy, Eric Omondi

Jacque Maribe recently had an interview in which she spoke about her life and how being in court in connection to a murder case has affected her life. She didn’t discuss the court case but simply talked about everything else including her relationship with her baby daddy. What was interesting is that she revealed that he had approached her with the idea of reuniting. She claims she shut down that idea and we get the feeling she did so with extreme prejudice.

Jacque Maribe
Jacque Maribe with her ex, Eric Omondi

And while it is a real feel-good statement for every Independent Women™ out there, it is actually a worse idea for Eric Omondi to have rolling around in his coconut than it would be for Jacque Maribe. He stands to lose way more than he stands to gain if they were to reunite. Jacque Maribe would be gaining a permanent father figure for her son and it would actually be his daddy. She would be getting a man who is actually settled and not a shyster like her ex-fiance, Jowie Irungu. Perhaps this would lead to her becoming bored very soon given her penchant for badboys.

Jacque Maribe needs to completely stop mentioning Jowie cause she’ll always look weak

But for Eric Omondi, he would be tethering his fate to a woman who has the potential to torpedo everything he has worked hard to build. At the moment, he has more clout than she does and this is a brand that he can easily monetize. No brands want to be paired up with her while the question of her court case looms unanswered. It would in turn make Eric Omondi’s brand toxic by association.

Jacque Maribe
Jacque Maribe reporting about the murder case that forever changed her life

Then there is the matter of the possibility of going to jail for life in her murder case. Eric Omondi would have elected to tie his lot in with someone who could then have to go to prison for the rest of her life. While this would allow him to raise his son as a single father, I doubt he is prepared for such a daunting responsibility.

“I just don’t care about him” Jacque Maribe talks about Jowie Irungu months after bitter break up

Add to this the fact that getting serious with Jacque Maribe would mean he’d also have to help her with the financial burden of hiring the best legal defence team money can buy. Afterall, Eric Omondi would be looking to get himself involved in the biggest fight of her life.

Jacque Maribe with Eric Omondi and their son, Zahari

But when everything is said or done, the choice of how to complicate his life is entirely his own but in my opinion, Eric Omondi should perish the thought of reuniting with his ex, Jacque Maribe.

Why Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe fixed their issues

Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe are the father and mother to a healthy and hearty young son. While this is now common knowledge, but there was a time when it was a heavily guarded and closely protected by media industry gatekeepers.

Eric Omondi shares story of how he met and fell in love with, Jacque Maribe!

When Jacque Maribe was in court for the mentioning and bail application of her and Joey Irungu’s court case pertaining to the murder of Monica Kimani. And while there one of the things that came to light is the fact that Eric Omondi had largely been a deadbeat father, not involved in any way shape or form in the life of their son. As a result, Jacque used this as one of the reasons for her application for bail/ bond and this says a lot about the nature of the relationship between them.

eric omondi

As you can expect, the two of them were not on the same page and had a non-existent relationship. But all that changed when Jacque Maribe was brought up on charges because she could be facing an extended amount of jail time. As a result of that reality aswell as the negative public attention that was poured his way.

“Motherhood is no mean feat!” Jacque Maribe pens on son’s 6th birthday (Photos)

And so they made peace and have been sharing photographs of them enjoying time with their son and Eric Omondi has seemingly thrown himself deep into his formerly neglected role of fatherhood. But what really made him decide to fix his issues with the mother of his children? And I believe I know what it was that triggered his decision.

Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe
Co-parents, Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe

Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe decided to get back together. I’m just kidding. I actually already mentioned it earlier, they are facing the possibility of Jacque Maribe facing a long amount of time behind bars. As one can imagine, this is something that would make any couple sober up.

Is it Jacque Maribe or Chantal? Eric Omondi finally explains his complicated relationship status!

And so, faced with the possibility that he might have no access to his son, Eric Omondi decided to get involved so that perhaps, should her case not pan out according to her hopes, Jacque Maribe might consider giving him custody of their son or in the very least, very generous visitation rights.

Why Kenyan comedy doesn’t translate well outside Kenya

Kenyans seem to be unable to carry Kenyan comedy beyond the borders of our third world nation and this is a very interesting phenomenon. I am not referring to social media comedians because that is an entirely different ballgame -social media comedians rarely translate well off social media. I am referring to stand up comedians. Countries like Nigeria and South Africa, even Ghana have created some world-renown comedians who have taken to global stages but when it comes to Kenyans, for some reason we seem to stagnate at regional stages and even there, our comedians are often the least entertaining.

Why comedians do not call out Churchill and suffer silently

Perhaps it’s down to the fact that Kenyans are so PC (politically correct) out of fear of being accused of being too controversial yet time tested and proven formula for comedians is for them to inflame emotions. Why? because they critique society. So I found myself coming up with reasons as to why Kenyan comedy seems to be consigned to the fate of remaining a largely Kenyan affair:

#1. Kenyan comedy is too local

King of Kenyan comedy Eric Omondi

When you think of Eric Omondi, Churchill or MC Jesse, what comes to mind? Local content drilled down so specifically, it only serves the niche that believes ethnic humour is funny. If say, you’re a Kenyan who doesn’t find ethnic humour hilarious, it fails to hit the mark with you. Say, you’re a Kenyan with global exposure either through access to foreign media or you have travelled/ lived abroad, it fails to hit the mark.
Now imagine if you will, a Ugandan listening to a Kenyan comedy skit talking about Kikuyus from Nyeri. Or a Zambian listening to a Kenyan comedy skit talking about a Luhya’s appetite, how the hell will they click with the humour?

#2. Kenyan comedy has stagnated -refused to grow out of its mould

King of Kenyan comedy MCA Tricky

When you think of Vitimbi, Vioja Mahakamani, you will be forgiven to think that this is the old school way of doing comedy. It is on the nose, low IQ, ethnic-based -essentially slapstick humour. And while this clearly had a fan base and a large one at that, such humour is contextual. It performed well because of the context. This was before social media allowed Kenyans to consume humour from other countries and it was all we knew from a social standpoint.
Problem is, the new crop of Kenyan comedians have simply pushed on with this same formula. That is why shows like Real Househelps of Kawangware is a thing yet it is simply the same script, different cast. Kenyan comedy, like a virus, continues to replicate itself in the same format because it mistakenly assumes that this is the tried and tested winning play.

Back like he never left! Mulamwah bounces back a week after quitting comedy

#3. Kenyan comedy lacks satirical content

Satire is comedic gold but because Kenyan comedy relies heavily on politicians and businessmen to be its benefactors, it refuses to poke fun at some of the more glaring issues these individuals have. Kenyan comedians refuse to hold up a mirror to the Kenyan society because they are scared to strike out a new path. So we are stuck with the same low brow, troglodyte humour about “my name is Mary, I come from Nyeri, I eat githeri bullshit.
To build this point further for the unimaginative among us, political situations in Kenya can be paralleled to situations in Nigeria. South Africa’s social-economic realities are similar to an extent to Kenya’s. That is why Trevor Noah was funny while he was talking about South Africa. But you have to first cut your chops on local satire to learn how to blend it to different realities.

#4. Kenyans abroad lack an identity

Kenyan comedy suffered because Kenyans abroad lack an identity. When West Africans in the diaspora land there, they resolve to maintain their culture. They celebrate it. Kenyans on the other hand, resolve to maintain their ethnic cultures. That is why you will find (and they hate it when this is pointed out to them) but when they can help it, they will tend to gravitate towards members of their own ethnic communities. West Africans identify first as West Africans then by their nations.
As a result, this keeps Kenyan comedians from having to innovate their humour when they go for comedic tours abroad.

#5. Kenyan comedy is stunted by the lack of an intelligent audience

We are troglodytes. We enjoy simplistic humour so we don’t have to think too hard. Kenyan comedy is pragmatic. Why reinvent the wheel when it works so well?

Kings of Kenyan comedy
Owago and Churchill

And this is why Kenya has failed to produce the next Trevor Noah, someone who can appeal to a wide audience and not just his fellow compatriots. It is why for Kenyan comedians to get a show abroad, it has to be organized by Kenyans living in the diaspora. It’s why Kenyans have yet to produce Russell Peters of our own.

The reason Jacque Maribe has been so successful at love

Jacque Maribe is an enigma. How she has managed to love men who in turn love her and remain steadfast in their loyalty to them long after the relationship has run its course is something for the annals of history. You see, we often get a glimpse into her private life thanks to the fact that she used to publicize every aspect of her romantic life with the exception of one relationship -that with Eric Omondi.

jacque maribe and dennis itumbi

What Betty Kyalo had to say after fans pressured her to speak about Jackie Maribe’s drama

Eric Omondi’s situation was a well-guarded secret that was whispered in different corners but never confirmed until we saw Jacque Maribe go to court. Other situations that were poorly guarded include the one involving Dennis Itumbi. Photos surfaced of Jacque Maribe and Itumbi kissing and we were then treated to absurd explanations.

Then from there the most serious relationship we were treated to was her engagement to Jowie Irungu but because that is a matter still in court, we cannot say too much on that.

The question that many have been asking is, “What is it about Jacque Maribe that keeps these men completely locked in even when there is no clear discernible benefit to them?”
“What did she offer that these men are convinced they cannot find elsewhere?”

jacque maribe and eric omondi

When you look at her hitlist, her past relationships were with men whose names read like a register of who is who in the Kenyan entertainment and even socio-political landscape. What that stands to prove is that in our third world setup, these are high-value men.

jacque maribe in the docks with jowie irungu

Perhaps this is proof of the fact that Jacque Maribe has female game. No, that isn’t a euphemism for anything sensual. I mean she knows how to game men’s minds on a level that breaks these men’s minds. That speaks to how well she understands the average man’s mentality and knows how to package herself to leave an indelible mark.

Jacque Maribe and Mike Sonko raise eyebrows as they sit dangerously close to each other (Photos)

Another thing that Jacque Maribe has a knack for attracting simps. The archetype of men who want to play out their hero schema and save a woman. And she is adept at playing the role of the damsel in distress which allows these men to want to save her from her dragons. That is why these men always fall over themselves trying to get to court to support her during her appearances and why they allegedly clamoured to get her some support for from bigwigs when she was initially arrested.

Dennis Itumbi once again writes a sweet poem for Jacque Maribe on her birthday

She knows how to be feminine. Jacque Maribe has never come off as a domineering woman. She isn’t one of the women you look at and feel will be a daily headache to deal with. She never once came across as a contrarian. And in this world where there is a dearth of calm, amenable women, Jacque Maribe stands out.

She has a certain approachability. Aesthetically, she isn’t a stunner. She is a plain Jane. The type of lass you would expect to see right next door. This in and of itself makes men believe they stand a chance with her. So multiple men do try their luck.

Eric Omond calls his ex Chantal Grazioli on live TV to prove they are still in good terms

Eric Omondi has left his fans confused after confessing that he still talks to his ex-girlfriend Chantal Grazioli every day.

The two announced they are no longer together this year after almost three years of dating.

Call

In an interview with Dr Ofweneke, Omondi who was asked if he misses her and said he does not because they talk every single day and then called her to prove they still talk.

I don’t miss Chantal because I talk to Chantal. Yeah every single day. Let’s call Chantal I hope she’s on,” said Eric.

His confession comes after the comedian announced that he has a son with Jackie Maribe. The two also took a trip to the coast, sparking rumours that they might be dating.

Eric Omondi teams up with Awilo Longomba ‘Tiko Tiko’

Erico Omondi the king of parody is back with a new tune Tiko Tiko. The comedian in this jam has featured the famous Awilo Logomba.

Awilo Longomba added a new sensation to Eric Omondi’s Tiko Tiko jam. Just like we are used to them rocking the Rhumba world, they did not disappoint.

In addition, Awilo Longomba is a Congolese musician who was a drummer in Viva la Musica.

Eric Omondi teams up with Awilo Longomba 'Tiko Tiko'

As many will expect Eric Omondi to flop, in this case he has won. To add on, the  talented comedian from Kenya is known for his parodic approach. Also, the singer has worked on famous musicians work creating a niche for himself.

To start with, Awilo was in country for vacation that saw him and Eric Omondi go all the way to Masai Mara.

As it stands now, Tiko Tiko is also trending in the country and within a few days, it has garnered enough views to keep going.

Eric Omondi teams up with Awilo Longomba 'Tiko Tiko'

Tiko Tiko is all about a girl.

Even in serious matters, Eric is still cheeky in this jam. We go straight to try and seek out what Tiko Tiko is all about.

Hawa watoto mangeus wananichanganya Kutoka Dodoma, Mombasa, Nairobi na Kampala.  Hawa watoto mangeus wananichanganya Ukitaka katika peleka kiuno sawa sawa.  First, you realize he is also in the wave of singing about women.

Further into the song, he uses his comedic approach making it unique. Msichana ametoka Rongai Anataka shopping Dubai Kisha twende na Mumbai Cherie oooh.  Actually you see in this one he is trying to rhyme.

Eric Omondi teams up with Awilo Longomba 'Tiko Tiko'
Also there is a stanza they talk about the type of girl he wants. Napenda msichana amejipanga Anajua kupikanga Mchezo anajua kwa kitanda Anajua kwa kitanda. The lass is expected to be all round in the kitchen and in sex.

All that well said, the song is a great hit and the coordination is super good. The Rhumba feel makes it unique. Tiko Tiko is just the perfect song for the week.

In conclusion, Tiko Tiko by Eric Omondi and Awilo Longomba gets a rating of 7/10.

Have you seen Eric Omondi’s new hairstyle? Probably you should(photos)

Just like his jokes and surprising funny clips, comedian Eric Omondi is also a man of many hairstyles.

Over the years we have seen the comedian move from one hairstyle to another but one thing has always remained, they are all controversial.

His new hairstyle isn’t any different. The comedian has a new hairstyle now and as he gears to perform in South Africa, took to social media to share a first look of his head.

Reactions

Of course, social media reacted to the hairstyle differently just like people have done many other times when he has switched.

This time around, some really loved it. Actually most people love it but as usual, some were not impressed. Well, that’s social media for you. You can’t please everyone.

Here are the photos:

Comic Music now a thing and Kenyans love it

Kenyan Comedians are definitely a unique lot in the creative industry. As at now they are choosing a different niche in music for comic relief. Parody!

When I did an article on Eric Omondi being the King of Kenyan Parody, it didn’t mean he was the only one.

Also read:Eric Omondi the King of Comedy and Music parody

Music has a way to which it gets into us.It entertains, encourages and more creates an easy to cope to environment.

Parody

Well, Kenyan comedians have decided to tap on this art as they keep creating comic content using music.Mostly, as parodies. Trust Kenyans, we seem to appreciate the comic gimmicks of music more than the original versions of it.

As you ponder to understand, the point of parodies seems to be working for them.

For instance Eric Omondi takes the title of King with his versions of Extravaganza  By Sol Generation to Extrawajanja that he features fellow comedians Mulamwah, Mammito and Kartelo. Something Kenyans lauded Omondi for being keen to see others grow.

Padi Wubonn is also a Kenyan Comedian that uses parody for his skits but sadly is so underrated. He is recently did a parody of Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz featuring Fally Ipupa’s Inama. I liked the creativity put in it.

Incorporation of Comedians to music

As time goes by , other comedians like Kartelo have managed to create a name such that recently Rico Gang featured  Kartelo in their new song Kimonyoski.

That should tell you the kind of reach Kartelo has acquired as at now. With his Sheng’ prowess it now is a thing. Clearly we live for such moments.

Also read:Rico Gang has teamed up with Kartelo on a new banger dubbed ‘Kimonyoski’ and we love it (Video)

That aside,  Eddie Bituta of the famed Churchill Show released a song titled Kidesign. The song is a feel good song that clearly portrays the daily struggles to have a complete look, with emphasis on operating ‘kidesign”. This jam is a hit.Good Job Butita we need more juice.

This among many others, seemingly comedians are trying to use different ways to make comedy more interesting.

They are clearly working on breaking the routine stand up comedy to reach more avenues. This is something this country should be proud of now.

Eric Omondi to Kenyans after photo in bed half naked: I’m surprised that people think the lady is Hamisa

Comedian Eric Omondi has denied that the lady Kenyans saw in a video recently with him is actually Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto.

On Wednesday, the comedian, was promoting his usually pay TV campaigns and used the socialite asking fans to vote between her and Vera Sidika.

Not her

Speaking to Edaily however, Omondi had a rather unexpected reply when asked whether he’s dating Hamisa now.

“I’m surprised that people think the lady is Hamisa. Though I cannot reveal her name, I wish to clarify that the lady is not Hamisa Mobetto,” he told E Daily before

As you can see in the video, I was asleep, so I couldn’t precisely know that she was taking a video. But, to be honest, it’s just a simple video that doesn’t prove anything.”

If you wondering whether you eyes lied to you, here’s the video you can counter check to see who is playing games.

Eric Omondi begs Kenyans to listen after break up: It’s not a stunt. It’s over

Comedian Eric Omondi is not seeking any attention. The comedian just wants Kenyans to know he’s no longer dating Chantal..

Omondi took to social media to announce the breakup and even his fiancee shared that the two had to end their four-year relationship. Kenyans however, insist it’s a publicity stunt and they are not falling for it this time round.

Truth

Eric had a sit down with Pulse Magazine and shared why he had the relationship had to end. He insisted that it’s not a stunt.

Here’s the full interview courtesy of SDE.

P: For starters, we hope this is not another prank you are pulling on your many Instagram followers?

Eric: No. The post is not a stunt. It is just crazy how people are going on Instagram and commenting with some saying that “hii ni kipindi” (this is a prank) but it is real. We have called it a day.

P: Why has this happy affair that seemed like it was headed to a happy union hit rock bottom?

E: I love Chantal and I know she loves me. She is 21 years and it is four and a half years since we knew each other. We have been trying to handle this matter carefully and I blame myself for the way things have turned. It was time to make this move anyway.

P: What exactly? What caused the rift?

E: Like I said, it has been four and a half years since we started out. Since, we seem not to be making any progress. First of all, Chantal is young and I consider myself a bit old. I feel like I have been a stumbling block for her as my career has been progressing yet, as she committed to make this work, hers has been stagnating.

She has been ensuring that my brand works but what am I doing for her? It is a long-distance relationship because her family lives in Italy and she only comes here for like six months to visit me. I am not growing any younger.

P: Does it mean you were not letting her follow her path?

E: See, thing is that as much as I would let her do that, I don’t think we were getting the space for it. And I blame myself again. She would want to join Emirates and even go to school.

We had this conversation, she would ask that since I am doing comedy, what did I expect her to be doing without a proper base. I would feel that she was idle and that she needed to get somewhere. The only solution was for us to set each other free. I was suffocating Chantal.

P: For how long did the two of you have this “let’s give each other space” discussion?

E: This discussion has taken us three months. Like you know, it is even her birthday on Friday (today) and I had hoped we’d be together but it is now what it is. I am wishing her all the best. I want her to be free, to get on and discover herself. I want her to make decisions without feeling like I am holding her back. That applies to me too. If our paths collide again, then, well and good. If she finds another man and I find another woman, then so be it. But I want everyone to know that Chantal and I love each other so much and that there are no ill-feelings.

P: Would you say, like this was a false dream?

E: Not really. Everything happens for a reason. We have been learning a lot from each other…especially me.

P: Whom can you say is the loser in this break-up; you or her?

E: Clearly I am the loser as much as I feel bad for her. I am getting old. I am the one who would feel like we settled down. She has a whole life ahead of her and I can’t hold her back for my selfish gains.

P: What is that one thing you will always remember her for?

E: Chantal is very mature and very understanding. She respects people, whether she knows them or not. In fact, I am ashamed to say this but Chantal is more mature than I.

P: Do you have any regrets having gotten to a much publicised affair that ends and leaves you looking like you failed?

E: God knows about my insecurities. I realised that I love Chantal so much. I would think that if I let go she’d meet another man and that would hurt. But like I said, if I did that it would be for selfish gains.

P: Her mother was very involved in this too…

E: She is in the picture and knows all about this as we discussed it with her. Remember that I met Chantal through her. She understands and both of them will be in Kenya in a few weeks so I hope we will meet and have a chat.

P: What is the biggest lesson we learn from this?

E: When you feel like it’s time to let go, just let go. Don’t fight.

K24 news anchor Eric Njoka denies being gay: Someone blackmailed me

K24 news anchor Eric Njoka has come out deny that he’s not gay. In an interview with fellow K24 presenter Sarah Ibrahim about his love life, Njoka shared that he was framed by an unknown person.

According to the presenter, the person tried to squeeze Ksh 60,000 out of him after creating a fake profile of him.

”In 2016 some guy just decided to get some money from this guy who looks like he is so moneyed. So what does he do? He collaborates with a friend and colleague in one of the universities here, forms a profile and gets all my pictures and gets a picture of the penis or something, shares with friends and then calls me and promised to leak the information (if I don’t pay).

“I said whatever, do what you gotta do. I thought he was playing with me. It is a person I have never met or interacted with, he sounded really old, sounded so Somali and he was so confident about it. He said that if I didn’t give him KSh 60,000 he would expose me,” he said.

Silent

The individual went ahead and posted the allegations on social media which was then picked up by blogs. He told Sarah that he never bothered to defend himself after the legations because he knew he was innocent.

”I never told anybody about this because there was nothing to tell. I never shied away from it because there was nothing to be afraid of because at the end of the day that was not me. And my career was never to be destroyed by that weak person who thought that one Eric Njoka will fall. He has not fallen,” Eric said.

Our late brother convinced us he was out of drugs. That’s where we went wrong- Fred Omondi

Comedian Fred Omondi has revealed that his late brother Joseph Omondi derailed them while they were trying to help him fight drug addiction after he managed to convince them that he was doing well and off drugs.

Speaking to the Star Newspaper, Fred said that Joseph told the family he was no longer using drugs despite being heavily addicted.

“There is a time we found him and I brought him to my place, where he stayed for a while. Then we decided to help him out, to start his own life. I think that is where we were wrong because he convinced us that he was now doing well,” he said.

Joseph died last year just hours after Eric found him in a drug den and decided to take him to rehab with the help of Chipukeezy.

Tough on Eric

Fred said Eric was greatly affected by their big bother’s death

“It was tough. You know we had struggled with him over the years. He was struggling with addiction and we spent most our time looking for him other than growing up with him. Eric found him, after two or three years of not seeing him. Unfortunately, the next day he passed on because he was in a very bad condition,” he said.

Fred confessed how he grew up in a funny family was saddened when both of his parents passed on while they were kids.

“I can never trade my childhood life for anything. I grew up with my crazy brother Eric, plus my dad was the craziest. He was so comic. When we lost both our parents. We had very tough times ’cause Eric was forced to start working when he was still in high school. I am the last born, and he had to take care of me,” he said.

It only took a few minutes for people in the crowd to find interest in him and they started dropping dollars in his small bag.

Booming business

I went to New York City and disguised as a witchdoctor, a traditional African medicine man. Now what they do is that they offer herbs that cure numerous problems. So I went into Times Square dressed traditionally with some cabbages, some kales, basically African vegetables and they were giving me money.

“First they came and they were wondering what’s going on and so I was speaking in Swahili and I explained to them that this is actual African medicine and it only goes for 20 Dollars. After three minutes business was booming,” narrated Eric Omondi.

He also denied that he has paid dowry or made any other major move to ensure that Chantal becomes his wife.

I am not aware of any September wedding. I also read about my September wedding with Chantal and how I went to Italy and paid dowry. I keep asking myself where they get the stories from, not one person has called to ask me about this but I see stories out there just like you,” said Eric Omondi in an inteview with Pulselive.

Fake news

The comedian made the confession during a radio show. The news then spread everywhere and now he’s wondering how it all started.

He also denied that things are rocky between him and Chantal, who has been away since March and the two are no longer posting each other on social media.

Bro, Monday I read from blogs that I am wedding in September, today I hear that I have broken up with my fiancée where do these bloggers get the stories from because no one has called me. We are good and bloggers should get their facts right,” he said.

Almost a decade

“I remember when he was active he was like “Eric you are here” we talked and agreed to take him to hospital then next day because it was late in the night. And I think that was our last conversation.  He was addicted for 19 years since 1999 until his death. He Quit school to come to Nairobi to join our cousin who was in Nairobi. So while in Nairobi he was introduced to cocaine by our cousin who was buy then dating a white guy” said Omondi.

“He was extremely addicted, we took him too rehab countless times. We had decided as a family that we are going to help him come out of the addiction, but that was the mistake, it was us who decided and not him. I came to Nairobi in 2003, I was happy that I had a brother so I could go and visit him. But I noticed things were not well. So slowly he got addicted” he said.

Adding:

“Random people could just call me, telling me I was busy on TV while my brother was out on the streets. But people could not understand that I have tried my best. I had told myself that I will manage to help him, but little did I knew how deep his addiction had gone,” Omondi stated.

Why didn’t you marry Jacque Maribe? Fans continue to pressure Eric Omondi

A section of Kenyans believe Jacque Maribe’s problems all started after Eric Omondi dumped her. Sources have also implied that Maribe’s son is Omondi’s though the comedian has denied the allegations.

After Maribe was sent to Langata Women Prison, Omondi posted a photo of her son on social media to show support.  Kenyans ended up attacking her, asking why he dumped her in the first place.

One fan wrote, “I hope you are helping the kid. Let the peace flow in that house.”

Another added, “Why post the child now though? Right attention, wrong timing… May Justice prevail for Jacky, Jowi and Monica in Equal Measure.”

“Are you doing this because you are the dad alitorokanga ama?or did she give you the permission?please don’t do this in her absence.ungekuwa na nia mzuri ungepost when the mum posted.but now that is in bad faith.”

The comments on “Lamba Lolo” song released by naughty Umoja kids will just make your day

Comedian Eric Omondi hit the studio recently and dropped LOLO, a song talking about how slay queens ‘ate’ all his money and denied him sex in the end.

The song was inspired by the then trending phrase “Lamba Lolo” and it seems, Omondi’s Lolo was just the R-rated version of Lamba lolo.

Rated PG 30

Four kids from Umojo have released the x-rated version now.

Rekles, Seska, Swat and Zilla have killed it in their version of Lamba Lolo though we are not sure Ezekiel Mutua will be too happy with the lyrics. The comments on the video are also super funny as fans tried decoding the vulgar lyrics.

Also, fans voted Swat as the best rapper in the song because of his fire-rhymes. Swat is the baby-faced guy that raps from 1.50-2.16th minute.

Here some of the comments:

Eric Omondi buys new German machine and sends uplifting message to broke Kenyans

Comedian Eric Omondi has been in the comedy business for more than a decade now. He has seen many ups and downs and clearly understands the business is not easy.

The comedian, who less than a year ago was in a tough confrontation with rapper Khaligraph Jones after the rapper bought a Range Rover, has now also acquired one, adding to his Mercedes Benz that he has owned for a few years now.

Prayed to have the finest cars

Eric Omondi

He took to Instagram to thank God for the blessing telling Kenyans that he’s not out here to brag but to show that hard work and focus always makes you win.

“To most of us a vehicle is just another material privilege, but to me these two are a sign of God’s blessings and the fulfillment of HIS WORD!” he said in.

I remember once while in form 3 in Kisumu Boys and a member of the Christian Union. I wanted to go preach in western Kenya but all I had was the WORD of God. After I tried to raise my fare to Kakamega for two weeks and failed. I decided to walk to Kakamega from Kisumu. YES! I walked from Kisumu through Mamboleo, Riat, Nyangori, Givole, Vihiga, Mbale, Kilingili, Chavakali, Mukumu and finally got to Kakamega (I preached in atleast one school in these places). I remember asking God for one thing when I got to Kakamega “May I one day drive the finest cars in the land” ???
