Update: DNA findings reveal personal interactions between activist Chiloba and Odhiambo

Chiloba’s decomposing body was discovered on January 3, 2023, stuffed in a metallic box abandoned along the Kipkenyo-Kaptinga road in Kapseret sub-county, Uasin Gishu county. Witnesses reported seeing individuals drop off the box before fleeing in a vehicle. Investigations revealed that Chiloba was likely murdered at his apartment in Chepkolel, Moiben, where he lived with Odhiambo.

Justice Nyakundi ruled that Odhiambo had intentionally caused Chiloba’s death, meeting all elements of murder as defined under Section 203 of the Penal Code. While five suspects were initially arrested in connection with the case, four were released, leaving Odhiambo as the sole accused. He was charged with murder, pleaded not guilty, and later withdrew his bail application.

On the same day, Justice Nyakundi is also expected to sentence police constable Lilian Biwott, who is accused of murdering her husband at Kimumu estate in Eldoret.

How Edwin Chiloba, an LGBTQ activist, died

Dr. Johansen Oduor, a senior government pathologist, testified in an Eldoret court that LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiptoo, known as Chiloba, was murdered by being choked to death. Speaking virtually before Justice Reuben Nyakundi, Dr. Oduor stated that Chiloba died from asphyxia caused by three socks stuffed in his mouth and a pair of trousers tightly tied around his mouth and nose.

The prime suspect in the murder is Jackton Odhiambo, also known as Lizer, who was a friend of the deceased. Dr. Oduor described the murder as brutal, noting that Chiloba, a 26-year-old University of Eldoret student at the time, suffered severe injuries. During the post-mortem examination, Dr. Oduor observed that Chiloba’s body was decomposing and emitting a foul odor.

According to Dr. Oduor, Chiloba had three socks deeply lodged in his mouth, and a jeans trouser leg was tightly bound around his mouth and nose. He also had bruises on the inside of his upper and lower lips and on the left side of his tongue. Dr. Oduor noted that there were no signs of defensive injuries on Chiloba’s body.

Samples from the deceased were collected for further analysis at the government laboratory to compare with samples taken from the accused. Corporal Mercy Kathure, the Investigative Officer (IO) in the case, recounted receiving information about a metallic box dumped along Kipkenyo-Kaptinga road in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County, on the morning of January 3, 2023.

Upon opening the box, the officers discovered Chiloba’s decomposing body. The body was transported to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary, where it was identified as belonging to the LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiptoo. Jackton Odhiambo, who was last seen with the deceased at a club in Eldoret and cohabited with him, was arrested as the prime suspect.

A taxi driver who rented out the car used to transport the body, as well as two minors who assisted in loading the box into the vehicle, were also arrested but later released after agreeing to testify as state witnesses. Odhiambo denied the allegations of killing Chiloba, with whom he allegedly had a romantic relationship, during an incident that occurred between December 31, 2022, and January 3, 2023, at Noble Breeze Apartments in Chebisaas area, Moiben sub-county, Uasin Gishu County.

Jackton Odhiambo’s plea to be release on bond after allegedly confessing to murder is sickening

Jackton Odhiambo is either just a cold murderer with zero sympathy or is currently having major mental breakdown or worse – is just a don’t care who wants the court to release him on bond while the police continue their investigations on the murder of Edwin Chiloba- who he had earlier confessed to knocking out cold.

Jackton Odhiambo with late boyfriend, Edwin Chiloba

Well as seen on social media word has it that Jackton Odhiambo recently pleaded with the court for an immediate release, as he hopes to get back to work since he has a family to look after. Okay yea…you read it right. Jackton, a murder suspect has the guts to ask the judge to release him….yet his boyfriend is lying somewhere in a morgue waiting for burial.

With that i guess its onky fair to assume Jackton Odhiambo has clearly lost his mind or has someone powerful protecting him hence his request….I mean, he must have b*lls of steel to assume a judge would release on bond while facing murder trial?

Jackton Odhiambo losing his mind?

Okay, okay I know Maxine Wahome was granted bond after her deadly fight with the late Asad Khan…..but at the time the guy was still alive – but in Jackton’s case – he allegedly killed and stuffed the guy in a metal box…tell me how the law can allow such a person to the public?

Anyway while others feel his recent request is part of him wanting more fame – its also obvious to see it isn’t normal for him to just act like nothing happened. I mean….the guy allegedly killed and broke his late boyfriend’s in a box…..how is that even normal?
