Eddie Butita hints of his next move after ditching NTV’s ‘The Trend’ show after 5-year mark

Kenya’s popular comedy kid, Eddie Butita left fans in shock after announcing his untimely exit from NTV’s The Trend show where he made his first talk-show debut on TV.

According to the 27-year old, all he did was to make a first appearance on the show and it became a permanent job. A hustle he would probably never have earned were it not for the show’s former host, Larry Madowo who dared to believe in him and gave him the first chance to be a part of a show that grew into something none of them had foreseen.

For Eddie, he learnt and laughed alot, changed what he was able to but it is time he gave an opportunity to the youngsters to sprout their dreams and showcase their potentials to the world.

“It is time to give chance to other talents to get an opportunity to grow and shine with greatness,” he penned.

However, that did not mean that that was going to be the last fans would hear of or even see the kid on their screens. Butita hinted he was still on this journey with the Nation Media Group-owned TV station but failed to delve into details.

Assuring his fans that much more, bigger and better was in store for them because being at The Trend was just but the beginning of another chapter in his comedy career.

Eddie Butita showered his dearly beloved, Mammito with love and sweet cuddles as she marked another year in her life.

September 18, as the renowned female comedian clocked 27 years of age, her sweetheart Butita shared a cute photo of the two cuddling while smiling ear to ear in an undisclosed location.

This comes barely weeks after the pair was rumored to be welcoming their first child, only to drain hopes of their online in-laws after nothing seemed to be popping sooner rather than later.

The pair kept their relationship under wraps for a while before the cameras caught up with them and eventually admitted that they are an item though not expectant as yet.

Their natural bond and beautiful love sparked mixed reactions from their fans online, as they watched the duo write their love story.

Mammito recently blessed fans with a bikini photo leaving the male species looking for ways to slide in her DM.

Well, judging from how fine the lady looks on the photo; it’s only fair to say we now understand why Butita has never been caught in cheating scandals – I mean who would even dare?

Not that we were not aware that Mammito has fine curves; but truth is no one ever thought she would one day release a thirst trap – especially with how private she is.

One lady identified as Esther Kanyoro however seems to have taken the trolling too far by asking Mammito to shave her privates.

The comment left under the photo sparked mixed reactions from fans who stepped in to defend Mammito while others were quick to throw shade!

Among those who have been taking advantage of this opportunity is comedian Eddie Butita. Well, despite the growing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus; rumor has it that Butita recently held a successful comedy show that attracted a huge crowd that came in to support his new project.

The popular comedian and talk show host Eddie Butita stirred the hornet’s nest by slamming netizens falling over themselves to wish American rapper Nicki Minaj good tidings for her alleged pregnancy. While the outspoken media personality is known for witty comebacks on The Trend show, his post on Twitter elicited mixed reactions.

Immediately after the sassy American rapper broke news of her pregnancy online, her Kenyan fans were quick to congratulate her. This is what prompted Eddie Butita’s blunt bashing on Twitter, calling out netizens for double standards.

In a nutshell, Butita had branded this as mere hypocrisy. How do you rush to shower a star living in a faraway continent with love and good wishes, while closer home, you continue to ignore friends, family and relatives?

This post prompted a barrage of savage trolls, with KOT brashly referring to the actor’s clear alliance with popular comedienne Mammito. The Kenyan comedy power couple has since confirmed their relationship. They had taken the good wishes aftermath in stride, though none of their fans really knew them.

Funny man Eddie Butita will one day make an amazing dad; ask how I know this? Well, apart from his jokes, the young man has proven to be hustler….and I am assuming all this is because he looks forward to giving his family nothing but the best he can offer.

Growing up in the ghetto (Kayole) not only taught him the art of survival; but also gave him a reason not to ever wish that kind of life to his children and his children’s children!

This past weekend comedian Eddie Butita was forced to speak up after one of his fans came out claiming to have been ignored by Churchill show funny guy!

According to the fan, Eddie Butita walked in at an undisclosed hotel where he was dining; seeing one of his favorite comedians, the fan tried greeting Butita who apparently snubbed him — something that made people who were around laugh at him.

Butita went on to add that he is a man of the people and meets fans everywhere he goes and never has he ignored anyone.

If you are keen enough, I’m sure you’ve noticed that almost every Kenyan comedian has crossed over to music. It’s almost as if that was the endgame for all of them. Wasn’t it though?

It started with Eric Omondi, soon enough the likes of Fred Omondi, DJ Shiti, Mulamwah, Eddie Butita, Mammito, soon joined in.

Sometimes I ask myself why they all decided to make this predictable move. Like, did they stop to think that we were already tired of their lame and tribal jokes. I guess not.

In as much as some of them are talented, (I give it to them, some can sing but  I won’t mention any names) why did they imagine that they would have any impact as musicians? What did they really want to achieve?

I bet it all began when they realized that they had lost relevance as comedians, that people were not cheering them as they used to so jumping ship and music seemed like the best option.

In my opinion, if you have established your career in a certain line, you should try your best to perfect it not to cross over to another career and fail terribly at it.

I’m aware that some of them try to include a comical aspect in their songs to show us that they can still do both but I don’t think anyone really cares.

It’s a fact that most of comedians are just trying to remain relevant by maintaining active fan bases but should they torture our eardrums while at it?

Whichever way you see it, Kenyan comedians should get back to terrible jokes that we were all used to and stay away from release music because let’s be honest, the country has enough musicians!

Seems that comedian Eddie Butita and Mammito are now kicking things up a notch after sharing a new photo together.

The apparent couple who have been said to keep their relationship on the low are seen together in a new photo; something we rarely see on their social media pages.

Eddie Butita who is currently doing quite well with his Eddie Butita campus tour did not caption the photo leaving room for assumptions from fans and tabloids.

“There is no way I can be pregnant. I always use protection” Churchill Show comedian Mammito comes clean after word she’s heavy with a baby

Churchill Show comedian Eunice Wanjiku Njoki has fiercely denied being pregnant with Eddie Butita’s child insisting that a condom is always in use when never getting intimate.

Last year rumors were rife that Mammito was expecting Butita’s baby after it emerged that the two comedians were in a relationship.

In an interview with Buzz, the comedian denied she’s carrying Butita’s baby because they always use protection.

“There was a time I posted a photo after lunch so my stomach was protruding, I guess that is where the rumours came from. Let me just put it clear that I always use protection, the ones that are studded with ribs, so there is no way I can be pregnant. I use the ones with banana or strawberry flavour because they give extra pleasure, keep me safe, and leave my house smelling very nice. People will believe anything they read on blogs so I am not even shocked,” said Mammito.

The comedian in the interview also revealed that she now planning to revolutionize her comedy by introducing English jokes.

“I am going into English comedy so the world can hear this girl from Kibera, and we are establishing comedy clubs so grassroot comedians can also have opportunities. Every first Saturday of the month it goes down at the Blues club at Barclay’s plaza and we are hoping more venues will take this up. We need to build an industry for next generation; If my kids choose to be comedians I don’t want them to struggle like I did.”

Churchill Show’s Eddie Butita sets new standards in comedy

For the first time in Kenya one comedian did two comedy specials in two different languages – English and Swahili. Eddie Butita took comedy to a next level with two gigs.

The two comedy special titled “Not Fine To Be Fine” and “24 Hours In Kariobangi” were filmed in Nairobi on 13th June starring Kenya’s finest comedian Eddie Butita.

Mammito has once again left many guessing whether she is involved with fellow comedian Eddie Butita.

A while back several tabloids revealed that the two had been secretly dating for about a year. The rumors went on to add that they even moved in together and were now living somewhere in Pangani.

However, they both maintained silence and did not confirm nor deny the stories. Well, it now seems that we are back to the same topic.

On Tuesday the lady shared her bae’s picture where she celebrated him as her MCM. Mammito wrote,
