Coast-based singer Dogo Richie has released a new jam and we are in really loving it, I’m not exaggerating. Trust me!
Dubbed Moyo, which is a Swahili word for heart, the new song talks about the horrible experiences that two people who were once in love go through after parting ways. Put simply, it talks about the pain of nursing a heartbreak.
In the song, Dogo Richie claims he still has feelings for his lover. He wishes he could rewind days because he is sad and can’t sleep. He also blames the girl’s friends for spreading falsehoods about him which eventually led to their break up.
Although Moyo has the typical Coastal beat, it had this beautiful vibe that I could not get enough of. I just wanted to keep listening. I believe it had a lot to do with Dogo Richie’s narration of what happened between him and his lover. He just has a unique and emotional way of bringing it out.
The singer, who is also known as Richie Ree, also has a unique melodic voice somewhat like Masauti, the kind that sweeps girls off their feet and drives them wild. Very wild. To add to that, Moyo is a very beautiful composition.
The song was directed by the one and only Johnson Kyallo and produced by Pitodi. In my opinion, they both did a great job on this jam. I know you’ll agree with me after listening to it.
