DJ Mo: I wish I started being serious with life as early as 15

Gospel DJ Mo is regretting.

Regretting the fact that he took too long to get his act together and he’s urging others to stop taking too long also to focus on Jesus.

“Yes I have regrets, I wish I started being serious with life as early as 15. By the time I came to realize how to be serious with life I was already 26/27. People wait to be 27 to get serious and wait till 30 to get saved. I wish I started my hustle at 15,” said Mo in an interview with Kiss. 

The word

Mo, who is a father of one, admitted that his kid Ladasha is still young and can’t be taught much. He however said that he works day and night to ensure that she gets a solid Christian foundation.

“The only thing I can teach her now is the word of God given that once you teach her that everything will fall into place,” he posted.

Kenyans believe singer Size 8 is now cautious more than ever and is leaving nothing to chance following her recent miscarriage that left her family devastated.

Size 8 has taken a break from TV and radio. She hosts Pambio Live alongside DJ Ruff Kenya every Sunday from noon to 2pm on Maisha Magic East since 2017 and also her radio show.

Asked why she’s not reporting to work, the popular singer gave a vague answer which sparked the rumors.

“Due to health-related issues,” she told Word Is on Monday.

Rest

She then went on to add that she’s only working on the Softcare campaign that requires little effort.

“The only contract I’m on is Softcare because it does not require a lot of my time,” she said.

Size 8 had a miscarriage on December and truly could be the reason why she’s taking a rest.

“I lost the pregnancy juzi. To be honest, I’ve cried I’ve asked God so many questions I have given my husband stress He is trying to make me be okay, I was so angry…my faith in God has been greatly tested,” she said then while announcing of her loss.

Gospel DJ Mo and his wife Size 8 have been in the headlines for years now as blogs and papers continue reporting about their life.

All the same, the two recently revealed that Kenyans don’t know them as much as they think they do just because they keep reading about them.

The gospel DJ had to defend his marriage saying that it’s not a come we stay but he married Size 8 in a proper church wedding. DJ Mo even said he has photos to prove the two had a happy, fruitful church ceremony but he will share the snaps when he is ready.

“Like I said, people purport to know us but they do not. They just know 5% of the Murayas,” he said.

The two have shown almost everything about their life other than the wedding. Fans insisted they are lying because by now they would have at least celebrated an anniversary already.

Mo however, insisted that he has even pictures to prove the wedding happened.

“I can assure you we got married in a church wedding and someday we will release the photos,” he added.

Gospel singer Size 8 has come out to reveal that nothing is perfect in this world including her.

The mother of one took to social media to warn her followers to never fall for the hype and perfect photos they normally see online that might make you believe everything is always fine in her life.

“Well let me just say this I am not perfect I don’t have a perfect marriage, I don’t have a perfect child, I don’t have a perfect body. Warning: don’t be fooled by what you see people post on social media. Many people not all people but many only post the good side of their life they post what they want you to see and hide what they think is not pleasant coz may be they want you to assume they are perfect. ” she said.

Size 8 added that like every other normal person, she gets stressed out sometimes but always relies on God for support.

“I don’t have a perfect life sometimes I cry sometimes I laugh out loud, I don’t have a perfect ministry either a perfect career. The only thing I have that is perfect is my savior Jesus Christ, my god and the blessed holy spirit in our imperfections, we find grace and mercy before god. Singer Size 8 has come out deny that her hubby DJ Mo has been in other several cookie jars even after the two exchanged vows.

Speaking on Radio Jambo, Size 8 shot down swirling rumors that DJ MO has been a serial cheater since they became a couple 6 years ago.

Size 8 said that Mo cheating on her are just petty rumours being pushed around by idle Kenyans.

“It’s not true. my husband has never stepped out of our marriage. those are just rumors from people,” she said.

Size 8 was among artists who vehemently defended gospel singers Hopekid and DK Kwenye Beat after their threesome saga. Though DJ Mo chose to stay away, Size 8 was forced to also take back her support after Kenyans attacked her.

In the interview, the singer also confessed that switching to gospel was a huge risk for her but she decided to do it anyway.

“Getting saved was a danger to my job as an artiste because my fans were not used to my gospel songs. i locked myself up in the house for at least two weeks because i thought i was the queen of sin,” she posted.

NTV’s Crossover 101 DJ Mo has just celebrated his birthday and his wife was all part of it.

The two might have a party later on today but first, Size 8 wanted to appreciate him on social media.

Photos: Size 8 among 185 other Christians who graduated from Bible School

Gospel singer Size 8 on Sunday joined 184 other Christians who graduated  from the Harvesters Global Church bible training school in Ridgeways off Kiambu Road.

Her elder sister Ann was also among those who graduated.

On social media, Size 8 penned a lovely message after completing her studies saying:

“The joy in my heart is beyond words. God thank you for the grace you have given me so far…………. I graduated today from Harvesters Global Church bible training school. Most of us run after material wealth first forgetting what the Bible says “what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but loose[sic] his soul. ” And another verse says “seek ye 1st the Kingdom of God and all this things (food, clothing etc) shall be added to you.” she posted. 

Changed mind

Size 8 also shared that the study has helped her build her relationship with God. She started the classes late 2016 and added that they changed her mind when it comes to conceiving her second born.

“I had fears of getting pregnant again but I thank God after I joined Bible school, I was taught a lot of things that helped me fight the fear. That is why for a long time people were even wondering kwani Size 8 hazai tena?” she said.

The real reason why DJ Mo and Size 8 ‘killed’ their Vlog and no longer post on YouTube

Last year, Size 8 and DJ Mo announced that they have launched a Vlog dubbed the The Muraya aimed at documenting their life.

The Vlog, which was on YouTube, went on to impress Kenyans as many got to see the life of the two and their daughter.

But after just several months, they stopped posting and never bothered to communicate to fans why.

Changed platform

A curious fan took to social media to ask DJ Mo why they are no longer posting on YouTube.

According to Mo, they moved from YouTube after landing a deal with streaming service Viusasa which has been buying locally produced visual content.

It’s not clear though why Mo and Size 8 haven’t been promoting the show on their social media pages.

Gospel singer Size 8 was hospital recently though fans were not aware. The singer recently opened up saying that she was very sick and was at some point even admitted to ICU.

Without sharing exactly why she was in hospital, the singer said she kept the matter away from the public but now she’s doing fine.

“I have been very sick, it’s something people don’t know, I have even been admitted to the ICU and I’ve had a lot of health compilations. But God has sustained me and every time I get a chance to wake up I know that his grace is sufficient,” she confessed on The Chipukeezy Show.

The singer has opened up several times about health problems which include high blood pressure and weight problems especially after getting pregnant.

Gospel singer Size 8 has opened up of how news anchor Jacque Maribe helped her while they were in High school at State House girls.

In an interview with comedian Chipukeezy, the singer explained that she was very broke while in high school but Maribe always gave her half of her shopping which mostly included pads.

Friend in need

Size 8 came from a very poor family and had a tough life especially after being sponsored and joining State House girls.

“In high school, Jacque Maribe was really there for me, yeye ndiye alikuwa ananibuyia sanitary towels,” she said.

“She used to come with shopping and split into two, she would give me and even pads. So when I see my face on the packet of pads as the brand ambassador of Softcare pads, I testify because my life is evidence that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do. God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ever ask, think or imagine.”

Power couple DJ Mo and Size 8 have come a long way since they started dating. The two lovers recently took to social media to share how their love has made them grow stronger and closer.

“Wow, what can I say to you father Lord but publicly praise you thank you glorify your holy name for such blessings in my life am celebrating 5 years of marriage just because of you. It is not the work of flesh but by your excess love through your son Jesus Christ and your mighty power I’ve such amazing memories. I can testify of such a miracle.

Size 8 went on to say that people warned her from dating DJ Mo but she took her chances and did anyway. Five years later, she doesn’t regret a thing.

“When I started this marriage journey with my husband, many people told me, ‘How can a star like me, just get married to an ordinary deejay?  Some made jokes that other ladies are getting cars as gifts from their husbands but I got a mixtape. Well, this guy who was called an ordinary deejay is doing exploits now in Christ Jesus.

 “This is to show you God can use anyone and raise anyone just have faith and Trust God. And I know God is not yet finished with him, he is about to do even more through him. Size 8 was afraid of leaving the hospital after giving birth to her first child

Singer Size 8 was paralyzed with fear after delivering her first daughter. On social media, Size 8 shared her experience after undergoing CS delivery, saying that was afraid because she was clueless about taking care of her baby.

Size 8 delivered her daughter Ladasha Belle Muraya on 19 November 2015. She posted the message to encourage new mums that might be in the same situation.

“To all the new mothers out there wondering if the child will ever grow coz of the work involved in raising a very little one especially fresh from childbirth they grow up fast take courage I remember the first day I was given @ladashabelle after CS I was clueless wondering how and what am I supposed to do with a little tiny baby. I was afraid to leave the hospital and go home by God’s grace she is almost 3years now wow to God be the glory,” read part of her post.

Delivering

In the past, the singer also narrated how delivering the baby became a life threatening situation.

“I wanted a natural birth but I had so many complications in my pregnancy. Pressure ilikuja na pregnancy, ikapanda mtoto karibu atoke. Nikaenda kupimwa it was 178 ndio they told me they can’t let me go because after 160 it’s dangerous,” she said.

“They induced me because I was insisting I wanted a natural birth. So ikakataa kabisa. I was feeling pain but sina hata nguvu. Hiyo pressure ilikuwa imenimaliza nguvu. Niko in pain but si dilate. Heartbeat ya mtoto inateremka chini. I was forced to go for a CS and cried as I didn’t want a CS.” Size 8 revealed and so she tried to see whether the baby would come but no avail. “I tried but my husband went and talked with the gynaecologist and I was wheeled into the theater crying.”

Singer Size 8 and comedian Jalang’o recently locked horns as each tried to prove how a “proper” gospel song should sound. While Jalang’o was very much against the new funny funny titled songs we are are seeing of late, “Mateke” singer Size 8 believed the songs were just fine and Jalang’o was just hating.

Judging from her new music, maybe she finally agreed with Jalas and decided to record a song that doesn’t fall in the Jigi Jigi and KDF categories that many have been bashing lately.

Size 8: Leaving secular music was one of the hardest decisions in my life

Singer Size 8 was at the top of her game when she left secular music for gospel. She got saved and was torn between doing gospel or sticking to secular music but with values.

In an recent confession on social media, the singer shared that people thought that she had lost it all after moving to gospel music and starting all over.

“When I left secular music it was one of the hardest decisions in my life to make. I was called all sorts of names and accused of so many evils. Others said I was very stupid but every single day I see how God uses that decision to touch and transform other lives for His glory. We are saved by the grace of Jesus.” Size 8 said.

Her statement came after Gracious Amani told Lilian Muli on Citizen TV that she’s inspired by Size 8 and how she managed to transform from “singing dirty songs to inspiring ones.”

A popular pastor has joined a bunch of Kenyans who have been complaining about the gospel industry and also rebuked the it saying that it’s full of pretenders.

On social media, pastor James Reborn specifically attacked Groove Awards saying that it’s rewarding music that doesn’t praise God but earthly things.

“GROOVE AWARDS is fake there is no power of gospel in those awards they are just lost generation hiding in the church secularising gospel,” said the pastor on Facebook.

He then went on to attack such song as Oddi dance, KDF and other similar song that have been ruling the airwaves claiming that they shouldn’t be categorized as gospel at all.

Jalango was recently a trending topic after coming out and shooting gospel artists in the foot over their music. The comedian and radio presenter stated that gospel music has zero content and artists should change.

“Mateke” singer Size 8 on the other hand came out to defend her people saying that gospel singers are doing just fine since saved people can relate to their content.

“Jalang’o should not judge people with a few songs because ours is the biggest music industry, and I believe every song has a message. Everyone sings differently, thus it would be wrong to judge them with their content.

“Like the new Daddy Owen song, Donjo, is just a way of saying he is enjoying life in Christ. Kula Neno is the word of God, meaning read the word of God. I think the problem is the understanding by people and not the song or perhaps the delivery. But from someone who reads the word, they will understand what every artiste means with their song.”

Well, a poll done by a popular website now reveals that Kenyans are not siding with Size 8. Almost all of those who voted agreed with Jalas that Kenyans should change their gospel songs.

Gospel DJ, DJ Mo, is yet again a topic of discussion after fans believed he was on Instagram flaunting a fake pair of shoes.

On Sunday, the NTV DJ was on social media showcasing a pair of Nike shoes that some believed was not original. The shoe, which is basically a remixed version of the ’90s classic, the Nike Zoom Flight 95, costs about Ksh, 20, 000 but were just being sold for less than Ksh 5000.

Many believed, at such a price, the shoe must be fake.  The shoe was released last year and once worn, the shoe provides comfort through its breathable Flyknit upper and the super thick and plush insole.

Humble or just show off? Size 8 struggles to clean church with a rug

Singer Size 8 is one rich lady who has always managed to show her down-to-earth side. Though she drives a KSh 7 million car and lives a lavish lifestyle, Mama Ladasha Belle has always avoided flossing on Instagram.

Recently, however, the singer left a section of her fans confused after she posted a clip mopping the floor of a church. According to Size 8, it was her turn to mop the floor. Some fans congratulated her for her humble actions while other said it was just done for the camera. Others believed she copied Betty Kyalo who posted a similar clip.

“When it’s your turn to clean the church but you still want to slay with the wig ???????? woi hii nywele si ya hii kazi ??????” said Size 8.

Just in case you spot her in one of your classes, try helping around because she’s the newest kid in class.

Singer Size 8 has gone back to school to study the bible. She took to Facebook to share her latest move saying that she took the leap because she wants more christian knowledge.

This might see her become a pastor later on after she understands the holly book.
