DJ Kalonje Issues Legal Notice to Oga Obinna Over Defamation Claims

DJ Kalonje of Mixxmasters Entertainment has threatened legal action against media personality and YouTuber Oga Obinna over allegedly defamatory remarks made on Obinna’s popular YouTube channel. Kalonje claims that comments made during a recent episode of “Obinna TV Extra” have harmed his reputation.

On Instagram, DJ Kalonje voiced his frustration, accusing Obinna of slander, unprofessional conduct, and trying to damage his brand for the sake of views and likes. He wrote, “It baffles me how I was dragged into someone else’s interview and why anyone would attempt to tarnish my name and brand for a few fleeting views.”

Kalonje stressed that he has spent years building his reputation and will not tolerate actions that undermine his professional integrity. He added, “My brand is something I take seriously, and I won’t entertain any defamation, whether it’s meant as a joke or not. Recklessly making harmful statements about someone’s brand is appalling and irresponsible.”

In response to Obinna’s statements, Kalonje issued a formal demand letter, highlighting the potential legal consequences if the YouTuber fails to comply. The letter accuses Obinna of falsely claiming that DJ Kalonje is incapable of performing live mixes for an audience. The statement reads, “On August 19, 2024, you posted a video on your YouTube channel, Obinna TV Extra, where you falsely claimed that our client, DJ Kalonje, cannot play live mixes, which is untrue.”

Kalonje argues that these statements defame his character and could harm his business by affecting future bookings. He has demanded a public apology from Obinna within seven days, warning that failure to do so will result in legal action.
