Over the past week, we have seen gospel singer Kevin Kioko, better known as Bahati, pull all manner of stunts to get people talking about him and to be honest, I don’t even get why.
I know we are all bored because we have to stay indoors at the moment but sometimes I feel that Bahati has has gone overboard with his stunts, like that time he was dancing in his wife’s dress or that time Diana carried him o her back.

I know what you are thinking that any kind of publicity is good, even if it’s bad but I think as a public figure, there are things that you should not do because there are people who look up to you.
Granted, Bahati is being bullied online a lot right now, even his wife Diana but I do not think that he is going about it the right way. Any celeb will tell you that the best way of dealing with trolls is not engaging them.
He could be doing all these things to promote his new track titled Mwisho Wa Dunia and we are used to him pulling all manner of stunts to hype his songs but this ain’t it.

From where I sit, it seems like he is really desperate for attention but at the very least, he should have taken his time and made a nice song and let people enjoy it.
Picture this, you pride yourself in being an artist, a gospel one for that matter, but you are more known for engaging in publicity stunts and scandals rather than your music. Is it supposed to be like that though?
Someone needs to tell him to take a break an re-evaluate his decisions because he is not only making a fool of himself but also doing irreversible damage to his brand.

After being exposed for dragging Peter Blessing to court for allegedly quitting EMB records; fans on social medians she stopped viewing him as a gospel artist.

One day Scrolling on my WhatsApp messages I get disturbing messages from a Lady introducing herself as Jane Mwangi, texting from Nigeria trying to open up to me that her life is at the edge. Sending me photos of her devastated self, telling me that her family views her as an outcast and she’s at the Verge of Committing Suicide.

Diana Marua who is married to gospel singer Bahati recently revealed that she also went through a dark phase with depression shortly after her daughter, Heaven was born.

According to Marua, she jumped into depression despite having a husband and nanny who had been helping her out with the baby. She however made it clear that exhaustion and the none stop cry of her newborn left her in a difficult position that resulted to depression.
“When I got Heaven, that was the worst time of my life. I got post-partum depression. I had a husband and a nanny,”

Turns out that Diana Marua actually has a condition called symphysis Pubis that affects her pelvic bones every time she gets pregnant. Diana Marua went on to explain saying;
“I did not prefer to go for C-section. What happened with my first born baby Heaven, I got a complication where my pelvic bones zilikuwa zinashikana and it got to a point where walking a small distance was very hard for me. I couldn’t even move from the bed to the bathroom. That condition is called Symphysis pubis. So with that, doctor had to advise me not to go the natural way. Natural birth was not an option for me and on my second baby, the same happened and that’s why I opted for C-section,”

Away from that, Diana Marua also went on ahead to reveal that she was now ready for her son as she packed his hospital bag a few hours ago.
With a baby boy on the way, Diana Marua has now revealed to have no plans of adding another child in the near future.

I remember back in the day how each and every song that was released by Bahati instantly became a hit. He didn’t even have to do media tours, they had no choice but to play his songs. It’s almost as if everything that he laid his hands on instantly turned into gold.
Well, those days are long gone. These days the 25-year-old singer just gets by like any ordinary artist. Very few people bother to watch or listen to his songs and they don’t get as much traction as they used to. At least that’s what I think and this assertion can be easily confirmed by his low numbers on YouTube.

In my opinion, there are a few possible explanations for why this is the case. One, he spends so much time shooting his reality TV show that he has little time to go to studio and work on a song which will impress his fans. So, I’m saying his songs are hurried.
Two, parenting and being a husband to Diana Marua is taking so much of his time that he has little studio time. Although I don’t know what it is like to be a husband and a father, I bet it must be a daunting task.
Three, his fans finally got tired of him crying in all his songs. They waited for him to look for a different approach and vary his sound but that day never came so they moved on swiftly.

Whatever the case is, Bahati needs to realize that his music is not as good as it was a few years ago. When he does, he will pull up his socks. I have said my own!

However, being married to a gospel artist makes it hard for Diana Marua to share such photos on her social media pages. This is because the online critics who are always ready to attack at any given time.
But now with the pregnancy hormones and fatigue kicking, I bet no one can try and cross Marua even in the comment section.

Diana Marua has finally hinted that her second baby will be here anytime soon.
Well, this could be the main reason she has lately been on and off on Instagram unlike her old self!
The lass however recently shared a new video hanging out with her adopted son, Morgan – where he is seen listening to the baby’s movements in his mummy’s baby bump.
Judging from her caption, one can tell that Diana Marua is now tired and ready to have her baby. She wrote saying;

Baby’s gender
Just like their first born, Diana Marua has refused to reveal her second baby’s gender until he/she is born.
Not quite sure how she will handle two under two babies, but I guess that’s where the nannies come in!
Pregnant Diana Marua is one happy woman to have a smart baby. Just a few days ago the lady went on to praise her daughter on her Instagram page adding that it’s about time she joined school.
According to Diana Marua, she has always felt that her baby girl, Heaven Bahati is way smarter than kids her age.
From the Instagram videos shared by Bahati and Marua we understand that their baby girl already feeds herself and is already mastering words.

With another baby on the way, Diana Marua could now be thinking of letting her baby girl start school soon now. Through her Instagram page the lady posted saying;

Seeing how both parents have hustled up in the entertainment industry, it’s no surprise that their daughter got her smart behavior from them.
However, having Heav join school at 1 year could be like a punishment since she still has a long way to go!
Although he has released a few songs since the year began, I feel like gospel singer Bahati has abandoned music.

You see, the 24-year-old got in a deal with NTV in 2018 to show Kenyans bits of his life. The reality show dubbed Being Bahati premiered on July 22, 2018.
The show has been doing well, no one’s denying that. As such, it does not come as a surprise that it was renewed for a second season.
However, if you are keen you’ll notice that Bahati has not had a memorable hit for over a year now. Yup!
I’m not saying he has not released any song since the show premiered. Actually, he has a couple of new songs including Ndani Ya, Sorry, Fanya, Nyota, Nasubiri Nini, just to name a few.
However, I’m sure very few people know any of these songs, even his die-hard fans. None of them was a hit, their low views on YouTube seem to justify this assertion.
Why, you ask? Because it seems like Bahati has put all his focus on the reality show at the expense of his music which is a risky move.
Bahati has taken a backseat in music so much so that a number of artists who were signed to his record label – EMB Records – walked out in the beginning of year accusing him of mismanagement.
On the other hand, Bahati’s nemesis, Willy Paul, has been doing well musically releasing hit after hit. If someone randomly asked you to name any of Willy Paul’s new songs, I’m sure your list would be long.
Not that I’ve been in his shoes but I also feel that being the star of a reality show is not easy, chances are Bahati gets so exhausted after a whole day of doing shoots that he can’t even get into studio.
But I strongly feel he should decide if he was called to be a reality TV star or a gospel singer!
If one were to pick just one thing that has had Bahati´s wife, Diana Marua hit back and forth with, it must be her age as she actually confirms she is 30 and not 27.
Previously, the gospel star had revealed that the two had a 2-year age gap which Diana confirms is false.
Diana´s seniority to her young hubby has seen her tagged all sorts of mean names including ´shosh wa Baha´ and even ´mother and son´ when the two are together.
However, Diana Marua had earlier on expressed that Bahati´s age to her, doesn´t matter because after all, her hubby exhibits more maturity than his older counterparts.
People have pointed out that he is younger than me.
When we started out, it did not bother me because Bahati is more mature than most men older than me in his thinking.
Further on, speaking to True Love magazine, the mother of 2 revealed [if I may quote the article]:
Diana Marua was born to a Luo father and Kikuyu mother 30 years ago.
Her father worked in a private hospital in the city while her mother was a housewife.

This is to confirm the 5-years age gap between the couple.
However, Bahati´s defense in response to Diana´s seniority to him was:

I always wanted an older woman,
I matured up at the age of 12, growing up in the ghetto and I knew I´d want a woman who wouldn´t stress me out.
And to wrap it all up the EMB records´ founder lovingly expressed:
When Moses Tarus Omondi, alias Mr. Seed, announced that he was leaving Eastlands Most Beloved (EMB) Records on January 29 this year, many thought it was a suicidal career move.
His future looked bleak because award-winning Bahati, who owns the record label, had managed to bring him back from oblivion.

You see, the relationship between Mr. Seed and Bahati is very interesting so much so that someone should write a book about it.
Maybe you are aware of this, maybe you aren’t but perhaps you should know that Mr. Seed introduced Bahati to the local music industry.
As fate would have it, Bahati became so big that he had to help Mr. Seed rebuild his music career through EMB Records.
After two years at the stable, Mr. Seed announced that he had decided to go independent so as to to pave way for upcoming artists who needed the platform to grow.

His departure from EMB Records seemed like a rushed decision particularly because there were rumors that he got upset after Bahati kicked out his girlfriend Nimo Gachuiri during an event in Thika.
Most music fans thought that he was done for good since he had fallen out with Bahati who had played a big role in bringing him back to the music scene.

Truth is, Mr Seed has been more successful after leaving EMB Records. His star is still shining, some people would say that it’s even brighter. Perhaps it was not a terrible decision after all.
Apart form opening a new record label, Mr Seed has released three new songs since he left EMB Records, including a collabo with the one and only Solomon Mkubwa. That’s no mean feat!
He seems to be doing well unlike most Kenyan artists who disappear from the music scene after leaving their stables.
It’s almost as if he has a new song every month. Just recently, he had a concert dubbed Made in Huruma which did exceptionally well.
