Content creator and YouTube star Diana Marua has voiced her frustration after a recent encounter with street families in Nairobi turned sour when they rejected a KSh 1,000 donation she offered during a traffic jam.
Sharing the experience on her Instagram stories, Diana said she was shocked by the entitlement shown by some individuals, who not only demanded more money but also dismissed her effort to help.
The Unexpected Encounter on Uhuru Highway
The incident unfolded as Diana was caught in a traffic snarl near the University of Nairobi, with the gridlock lasting around 15 minutes. During that time, a group of street families recognized her and surrounded her vehicle, requesting money, food, and essentials for their children.
“If I could, I would scream. The audacity people have in Nairobi, especially beggars!” she said.
According to Diana, some of the individuals began banging on her car doors while shouting her name and listing what they wanted—ranging from money and food to diaper money.
From Generosity to Backlash
Moved by their requests, Diana decided to help. She asked for a mobile number and offered to send them KSh 1,000 to share among themselves. Initially, the group claimed they had no number, but eventually one was provided.
Just as she was about to send the money, another individual rudely interrupted, questioning the amount.
“Someone came out of nowhere and said, ‘What is Sh1,000? What will it help us with? Give us Sh10,000,’” she recalled.
“I Work Hard for My Money”
The comment deeply offended Diana, who reminded her followers that despite her public image, she works tirelessly for what she has.
“You’ve not broken a leg. You have a mouth and the ability to walk and work. I wake up early, create content, hustle to make a living—then someone tells me KSh 1,000 isn’t enough?” she said.
“Beggars Are Not Choosers”
Frustrated by what she described as rude and entitled behavior, Diana chose to withdraw her offer entirely.
“I told them beggars are not choosers. You don’t get to dictate how much you should receive. If you’re asking for help, do it with manners.”
The incident has since sparked conversations online, with many netizens weighing in on Diana’s sentiments and the expectations placed on public figures.
Bahati, has once again stirred up excitement online after teasing an even more extravagant gift for his wife, Diana Marua—a Lamborghini.
The revelation comes shortly after Diana flaunted the eye-catching pink Brabus G-Wagon he recently gifted her, a vehicle that has quickly become a social media sensation. Taking to Instagram, Diana shared a photo of herself with the luxurious ride, captioning it:
“Diana Brabus, I’d be lying if I said life isn’t good.”
Bahati, never one to shy away from a grand gesture, replied in the comments:
“This car has really made headlines; the next gift will be a Lamborghini.”
True to his word, the Brabus has become a national celebrity in its own right—fans can’t get enough. The comment section was flooded with praise, envy, and playful reactions:

Back in February, Bahati made headlines after surprising Diana with the KSh 45 million Brabus, custom-designed in her favorite color. It was the eighth and final gift in a series marking their 8-year journey together and their life with three children. The emotional moment moved Diana to tears when the car was unveiled.
Nicknamed “Aunty Madzoo Dzoo” by fans, Diana and her pink Brabus have become the talk of the town. And now, with Bahati dropping hints about a Lamborghini next, it’s safe to say Kenyans are watching closely—ready for the next jaw-dropping reveal.
Diana Bahati, also known as Diana B, is a YouTuber and content creator who occasionally tries her hand at rapping when the mood strikes.
Reflecting on her past, Diana candidly admitted that her life has not always been smooth. “I’ve made choices I’m not proud of, but they are part of my journey. I used to date different men for financial support—one paid my rent, another handled my shopping, and another took care of my wardrobe.”
Now a mother, she has no intentions of expanding her family. “I’ve had enough children. No more morning sickness for me,” she stated firmly.
Diana also recalled a painful moment in her marriage when Bahati gifted a female fan his jacket after she twerked on him during a performance. “That really hurt me,” she admitted.
Addressing claims that she has led Bahati astray—from gospel to secular music—Diana found the accusations amusing. “People say I’ve corrupted him, but I ask myself, how? Isn’t he a grown man capable of making his own decisions?”
On her faith, Diana emphasized that her relationship with God is personal. “I’m very much saved. Just because I enjoy life doesn’t mean people should judge me. Let the Lord be my judge.”
Speaking on marriage, she shared her thoughts on what makes a relationship work. “Sex is essential. Also, being friends with your partner and understanding that you’re two different people helps in accommodating each other.”
She acknowledged that disagreements are inevitable in marriage but highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence. “At the start, I would overreact and raise my voice, but over time, I realized staying calm is more effective—especially since Bahati is also argumentative. This has made resolving conflicts much easier.”
In a dazzling display of love and appreciation, Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati has once again captured the hearts of fans by gifting his wife, Diana Marua, a luxurious pink Mercedes Benz Brabus G-Wagon. The extravagant gift, valued at an astounding KSh 45 million, was presented to Diana as the couple celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on February 25, 2025. This grand gesture has set social media ablaze, with admirers and onlookers marveling at the couple’s unwavering commitment and flair for the dramatic.
A Love Story Eight Years in the Making
Bahati and Diana Marua have been a beloved power couple in Kenya’s entertainment scene since tying the knot eight years ago. Known for their public displays of affection and a penchant for lavish surprises, the duo has consistently raised the bar when it comes to celebrating their milestones. This year, as they marked nearly a decade of marriage, Bahati decided to pull out all the stops, gifting Diana her dream car—a customized pink G-Wagon Brabus, a vehicle that perfectly encapsulates luxury, style, and status.
The couple, who share five children and a thriving entertainment empire, have built a reputation for turning their personal moments into spectacles of inspiration. Their anniversary celebrations this year were no exception, with Bahati orchestrating a heartfelt surprise that left Diana in tears of joy.
The Grand Reveal
The presentation of the G-Wagon was nothing short of cinematic. Videos circulating online show Diana, visibly emotional, being led to the unveiling of the sleek, pink beast adorned with a massive ribbon. As she approached the car, her disbelief turned into uncontrollable sobs, a testament to the magnitude of the surprise. Bahati, ever the doting husband, stood by her side, beaming with pride as he handed over the keys to the KSh 45 million masterpiece.
In a caption accompanying the reveal, Bahati expressed his gratitude for their journey together, writing, “Eight years of love, five beautiful kids, and a life beyond my wildest dreams. This G-Wagon Brabus is for my queen, Diana, who deserves the world.” Diana, in turn, took to social media to share her overwhelming emotions, stating, “I’m living a movie. God has blessed us beyond measure, and this gift from my king is a dream come true.”
A Symbol of Success and Devotion
The G-Wagon Brabus isn’t just a car—it’s a statement. With its hefty price tag and custom design, it reflects the couple’s success as entertainers and entrepreneurs. Bahati, a celebrated musician, and Diana, a popular YouTuber and content creator, have built a brand that resonates with millions of fans across East Africa. The pink hue of the vehicle, reportedly customized specifically for Diana, adds a personal touch that underscores Bahati’s attention to detail and devotion to making his wife feel special.
This isn’t the first time Bahati has spoiled Diana with extravagant gifts. Over the years, he has presented her with a Range Rover Vogue Autobiography, a Land Cruiser Prado TX, and even a fully furnished mansion. Each gift has been a chapter in their ongoing love story, with the G-Wagon marking the latest—and perhaps most jaw-dropping—installment.
Fans and Critics React
As news of the gift spread, reactions poured in from all corners. Fans flooded social media with messages of admiration, with many praising Bahati for his generosity and Diana for inspiring such devotion. “This is what true love looks like,” one follower commented. “Bahati and Diana are living proof that dreams come true when you work hard and love harder.”
However, the couple’s flair for extravagant gestures has also sparked skepticism in the past, with some questioning the authenticity of their gifts. Addressing such doubts in previous instances, Diana has maintained that their blessings are real, often shutting down naysayers with evidence of their hard-earned success. This time, the sheer spectacle of the G-Wagon Brabus, coupled with the couple’s emotional authenticity, seems to have silenced most critics—at least for now.
A Legacy of Love and Generosity
Beyond their personal celebrations, Bahati and Diana have also used their platform to uplift others. From supporting street families to gifting fellow artist Denno a car in 2019, the couple has a history of generosity that complements their larger-than-life persona. The G-Wagon, while a personal gift, also serves as a symbol of their journey from humble beginnings to a life of abundance—a narrative that resonates deeply with their audience.
As the dust settles on this latest anniversary surprise, one thing is clear: Bahati and Diana Marua know how to keep the world watching. With eight years of marriage behind them and a pink G-Wagon Brabus now parked in their garage, the couple continues to redefine romance, success, and the art of celebration in the public eye. For Diana, it’s a dream car from her “king.” For Bahati, it’s a token of appreciation for the woman who has stood by his side. And for their fans, it’s yet another chapter in a love story that shows no signs of slowing down.
Kenyan musician Kevin Kioko, popularly known as Bahati, has once again captured the spotlight with his lavish gestures of affection toward his wife, Diana Marua. As the couple commemorates their eighth wedding anniversary in February 2025, Bahati has embarked on an ambitious eight-day gifting spree, showering Diana with extravagant presents that symbolize their enduring love. Known for their public displays of affection and flair for the dramatic, the Bahatis have kept fans buzzing with anticipation over each reveal. Here’s a look at the standout gifts Bahati has presented to Diana so far, as of February 20, 2025.
A Grand Start with KSh 8 Million on Valentine’s Day
The celebrations kicked off in grand style on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, when Bahati gifted Diana a staggering KSh 8 million. During a romantic picnic date, the musician surprised his wife with bundles of KSh 1,000 notes totaling KSh 5 million in cash, followed by the revelation that he had wired an additional KSh 3 million to her bank account. The gesture, captured on video and shared widely across social media, left Diana visibly overwhelmed. Bahati explained that the KSh 8 million symbolized their eight years together, setting the tone for an eight-day extravaganza of gifts from February 17 to February 25. “Receive something small to make sure your nails, makeup, and hair are done as I start giving the 8 gifts on Monday,” Bahati teased, hinting at even bigger surprises to come.
Diana, in her characteristic emotional fashion, took to social media to express her gratitude. “Words fail to express how much this man means to me. Just when I think he has done everything, he proves me wrong!” she wrote, admitting that she was unprepared for the scale of his affection. The couple sealed the moment with a champagne toast, marking the beginning of their anniversary festivities.
Gift Number Two: A Heartfelt Donation to Street Families
On February 18, 2025, Bahati and Diana took a meaningful detour from material gifts to give back to the community. As the second of their eight anniversary gifts, the couple hit the streets of Nairobi to distribute food parcels to homeless families. Accompanied by warm interactions and genuine concern, this act of charity was documented in a video shared by SPM Buzz. The caption read, “The Bahati Family, Bahati and Diana Marua donate food to the less fortunate in Nairobi as the second of eight gifts to celebrate eight years of love.” Fans praised the couple’s generosity, with many noting that this selfless gesture stood out amidst their usual opulence. It was a reminder that their love extends beyond themselves, touching the lives of those in need.
Gift Number Three: A Blueprint for “Diana B Apartment”
By February 19, 2025, Bahati upped the ante with the third gift—a blueprint for an exquisite apartment complex named “Diana B Apartment.” Unveiled during a live session on Diana’s YouTube channel at 3 PM EAT, this gift represents a monumental step in their shared journey. While details about the project’s location and cost remain under wraps, the blueprint suggests a luxurious, custom-designed property tailored to Diana’s tastes. Bahati hinted at this surprise earlier that day on X, posting, “I AM ABOUT TO MAKE DIANA’S GREATEST DREAM COME TRUE. ANY GUESS OF WHAT GIFT NO.3 WILL BE???” The announcement sparked excitement among fans, with many speculating that this could be a multi-million-shilling real estate venture, adding to the couple’s growing portfolio of properties.
Digital content creator, musician, and aspiring politician Kevin ‘Bahati’ Kioko paid a heartfelt tribute to his late stepmother, who was laid to rest yesterday.
The father of five shared moments from the funeral on social media, attending the somber occasion with his wife, Diana Marua. The post included photos and a video recap featuring their arrival at the burial site, a glimpse of the mourners, and Bahati standing by the casket delivering his tribute. The footage also showed the casket being lowered into the ground and mourners throwing soil as part of the final farewell.
In his Instagram caption accompanying the video, Bahati expressed his grief, writing, “It’s been a sad day. It is still unbelievable that you are gone,” alongside broken heart emojis. He added, “It was a painful goodbye to the woman that my dad loved last. Our mum has gone to be with the Lord. #RIP Mama Benja.
Salimia Baba Bahati, tutaonana baadaye (say hello to Bahati’s dad, we will meet again later).”
During his eulogy, Bahati recalled his final conversation with his stepmother. Just weeks before her passing, he had promised to help her son secure a job in the city, a gesture that now holds even greater emotional significance.
Josephine Kinuche, a former nanny for renowned content creators Diana Marua and Bahati, recently opened up about her personal life and one of the most heart-wrenching experiences she faced while working for the couple.
Josephine, who served the Bahati family for four years, shared her story during a fan Q&A session, recounting the tragic events surrounding her mother’s passing in March 2023.
She recalled receiving a distressing call from her sister Eliza on March 7, 2023, informing her that their mother had been hospitalised. Deeply concerned, Josephine rushed to the hospital to check on her but had to return to work shortly after. A few days later, Eliza called again, urging her to visit their ailing mother, who had requested to see her.
At the time, Diana and Bahati were in Dubai, but despite the distance, the couple displayed remarkable empathy and understanding. Josephine sought their permission to take time off to be with her mother, and they readily supported her decision.
In an emotional moment, Josephine recounted her final conversation with Bahati, during which her mother expressed gratitude for his kindness. “My mum said, ‘This young man is kind-hearted. I have seen him for the first time on my deathbed. I wish I could have met him earlier,’” she shared tearfully. Diana also reached out during this time, opting for audio calls due to the lingering trauma of losing her own mother.
Josephine’s most painful memory was the moment she lost her mother. She and her sister took turns staying with their mother at the hospital. One day, while she briefly stepped away, her sister called her in tears to inform her of their mother’s passing. “It still feels like it happened just yesterday. That process was so painful,” Josephine recounted.
A Luhya from Western Kenya and a trained teacher, Josephine recently revealed that she had parted ways with the Bahati family to focus on her personal goals. Despite leaving her role, she emphasized that her relationship with the family remains amicable and positive.
Social media has been rife with speculation since Irene Nekesa, the Bahati family’s long-time house help, quietly left their home a few weeks ago. The burning question remains: did Diana Marua and Bahati truly pay her a monthly salary of Ksh 100,000, or was it just a facade for social media?
Irene’s sudden departure surprised fans, especially since she had become a beloved figure in the family, frequently appearing in their YouTube videos and social media posts. Adding fuel to the rumors was Diana’s silence about Irene’s exit, with no public acknowledgment or well-wishes for her future.
Recently, Irene went viral after posting a video online where she sought assistance, showcasing the modest living conditions of her small bedsitter. This left many netizens questioning how she had managed her earnings while working for the Bahatis.
In a recent interview with Commentator 254, Irene addressed the speculations about her salary and financial situation.
“That salary… Let me ask you, Commentator, if I were to ask you how much you earn monthly, would you disclose it? My salary and arrangement with my boss are personal. Sometimes you even lie to your friends,” she said, deflecting direct inquiries about her pay.
Irene also revealed she was facing financial struggles, primarily due to her responsibilities as a mother and the primary caregiver for her elderly parents and several family members.
“I don’t have money right now… The money I earned went to paying a videographer, taking care of my child, and supporting my parents at home. People often try to plan your finances for you, but only you know how to manage it. In a family of eight, I might be the only one they’re depending on.”
Addressing criticism about her current financial state, Irene expressed frustration with the public’s assumptions.
“People ask where the money went… I wasn’t borrowing, but they say things like, ‘from mansion to beggar,’ and it hurt me. Just because Bahati has money doesn’t mean it’s mine. People forget that when you agree on a salary with your employer, that’s what you’ll be paid. Yet they still focus on someone else’s pocket and forget the reality of your circumstances,” she concluded.
On November 18, Bahati took to Instagram to share an intriguing update, revealing the wedding’s official date as the 22nd—though he kept the exact month a mystery.
Teasing fans, he wrote, “The Bahati’s historic wedding 💒 official date 22nd… Guess the month?”
While the announcement has sparked excitement, some remain skeptical due to the couple’s previous postponements.
In June 2023, Bahati had declared that the wedding would happen on December 12, 2023, a plan that later fell through.
The couple later rescheduled for October 2024, aligning with their anniversary month. However, Bahati disclosed in a September interview that Diana had yet to settle on a date.
“We had planned our wedding for October 20, our anniversary, but Diana keeps postponing it. It’s not up to me anymore,” Bahati shared.
He also mentioned that Diana was considering a February date but hesitated to make another premature announcement.
“She’s now talking about a date in February, but I’ll wait for her to make it official. I’ve made enough announcements that make me look like a clout chaser,” he explained.
Kenyan artist Willy Paul has extended an apology to Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Willy Paul admitted to having wronged the Bahatis multiple times and expressed deep regret for his actions.
Reflecting on his behavior, he acknowledged crossing boundaries and emphasized his respect for family, particularly children.
“My actions were never meant to harm, but I understand they were taken that way. I sincerely apologize to Diana and the kids for the misunderstanding. Much love,” read part of his statement.
In response, Bahati accepted the apology publicly, saying, “Apology accepted,” and reaffirmed their brotherly bond.
He reminisced about their humble beginnings in Mathare slums, where they struggled to build their careers, emphasizing the importance of rectifying mistakes along the way.
“My brother @willy.paul.msafi, apology accepted 🙏. We’ve come a long way, overcoming poverty in Mathare Slums to become who we are today. Mistakes happen, but what matters is making amends. No mistake is bigger than the brotherhood we share ❤️. #Bros4Life 🤝,” Bahati wrote.
The two, who had been long-time rivals often clashing publicly, seem to have put their differences aside.
Fans praised the reconciliation and even called for a musical collaboration between the two artists. Recently, Diana Marua had taken legal action against Willy Paul, but the case was closed not long ago.
Irene Nekesa, a well-known former employee in the Bahati household, recently addressed social media rumors confirming that she has indeed left her job with the family. Although she didn’t specify the exact date of her departure, she opened up about the reason behind it, amid speculation that there might have been tension.
Addressing the rumors, Irene explained it was a mutual decision for her to move on, rather than due to any conflict. She shared these details in a conversation on her new YouTube channel during an interview with Dem wa FB and Mama County, where she reflected on her previous role.
Dem wa FB began the discussion by saying, “We’re here to ask you all the burning questions we all have.” Irene, who gained a substantial social media presence through Diana Marua’s accounts, confirmed her exit but clarified there was no bad blood.
“People keep asking about me online, wondering what happened. The truth is, in life, you need to grow. It’s like a child cared for by their parents. Diana and Bahati always encouraged me to work hard, and I love them dearly. We didn’t part on bad terms; it simply reached a point where they felt I was ready to stand on my own,” she explained.
Dem wa FB noted that Irene had been unfollowed on social media. Irene responded, “They didn’t just leave me hanging. I also wanted to grow on social media, so I unfollowed them as well. It’s not that we parted badly.”
Some rumors suggested that Irene was fired, which she denied. “No, it wasn’t like that. I haven’t even noticed if I was unfollowed. Maybe it happened accidentally,” she clarified.
When Mama County inquired if Irene had unfollowed Diana, Irene admitted, “Yes, I unfollowed too, though I didn’t really notice it happening.”
Regarding her relationship with Bahati, Irene added, “I was encouraged to step out on my own. Like a growing child who learns to communicate and be independent, they supported my growth.”
When asked about claims that Diana was difficult, Irene dismissed them. “In what way? Diana and I have worked together well, even raising her kids. I wouldn’t have stayed nearly seven years if she were bad. I love Diana,” she affirmed.
As for whether she would return, Irene stated, “I have no problem visiting. I know where the gate is. Right now, I’m busy, but I’m open to visiting when I have time.”
Irene further explained her reason for speaking out: “I wanted to clear the air, so there’s no misinformation. I wasn’t beaten or chased away. We parted on good terms, and I trust God will bless them.”
It would seem the Bahati’s have suffered a setback as a family unit in their long running feud with former gospel artist and archenemy, Willy Paul. And this field has seen us get served with rape allegations by Diana Marua as well as constant bickering between the couple and their rival.
This culminated in a law suit that made headlines with Bahati’s wife vowing to pursue Justice to the fullest extent of the law and seeing her drag her and her husband’s enemy to the halls of court.
However, in a twist of events, Diana Marua’s cyber harassment case against Willy Paul was thrown out after the ODPP determined that the evidence against him was illegally obtained and thus inadmissible in court.
And while information is still scant as to what the couples next move will be, we can only imagine Willy Paul’s relief after receiving the verdict.
Rapper Diana B opened up about the struggles she experienced during her third pregnancy with her daughter, Malaika Bahati.
In a social media post, just hours before formally introducing Malaika to the public, Diana Marua shared that the pregnancy was a difficult and emotional journey.
She revealed that she often found herself in tears, and at one point, the challenges almost led to the end of her marriage. Diana admitted that she even left her home while heavily pregnant, as the strain on her relationship intensified.
Reflecting on the events two years later, she attributes the hardships to the devil, believing he was behind the turmoil.
“My pregnancy journey was hard. We had some really difficult days. I cried a lot. I moved out while heavily pregnant, and our marriage was on the verge of breaking. The devil was at work! It was BAD!!!” Diana shared.
“However, God intervened. He turned our sorrow into joy, and He granted us peace beyond understanding. Through it all, I can now testify that God works in mysterious ways,” she added.
As she introduced Malaika to the world, Diana prayed for divine protection and guidance for her daughter.
“As we officially introduce our baby Malaika to the world, God, I pray for Your protection and guidance over her. I declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. I pray that she will always walk in Your favor, grace, and anointing. She will be called blessed among nations and will find favor with both man and heaven. In Jesus’ Name I pray, AMEN,” she concluded with a heartfelt prayer.
“All I can say is I’m incredibly lucky and blessed to have such a loving husband. Bahati is literally a gift from heaven. He’s given me rings, a Range Rover, beautiful homes, children—he’s my everything,” Diana said.
She confirmed that the ring she now has is her official engagement ring, which Bahati bought after she persistently asked him to upgrade it as a sign of his love and commitment.
“This is the official ring, and for once, I got to choose it myself. I told him I wanted a change, and we went into the store where I picked one of the top three most expensive rings.”
Diana also mentioned that she’s looking forward to receiving her wedding ring, as they are planning a grand wedding soon.
In a previous statement, Diana expressed her excitement about marrying Bahati, a man who, according to her, understands and accepts all her flaws.
“A glimpse of how I’ll look on my wedding day. The day is approaching, and I’m filled with emotions. I can’t wait to say ‘yes, I do’ to the man who swept me off my feet. The man who understands me, stands by me, and has never given up on our love despite our disagreements. I’ll always honor and respect you. I love you, my world, @Bahatikenya,” Diana shared.
Kevin Bahati has consistently raised the bar as a devoted father and a public figure known for flaunting his lavish lifestyle online. Their much-anticipated wedding is set to take place soon, with fans eagerly awaiting the big day.
In June 2023, popular Kenyan artist Bahati announced his upcoming wedding to his long-time partner, Diana Marua. The couple initially set their wedding date for December 12, 2023. However, the wedding did not occur as planned, and they later rescheduled it for October 2024, the month of their anniversary.
During a local media interview on September 8, Bahati revealed that the October wedding plans might not go ahead as expected, primarily because Diana Marua has been hesitant to settle on a specific date.
“We planned our wedding for October 20, our anniversary, but Diana keeps postponing it every day. It’s not up to me anymore,” Bahati explained.
He further mentioned that Diana is now considering a date in February, but he is reluctant to make any more announcements until she finalizes her decision.
“I think she’s suggesting a date in February, so I don’t want to discuss it until she makes it official because every time I announce it, I look like I’m chasing clout,” he added.
Bahati expressed his frustration with the constant changes, recalling a conversation they had:
“You wake up and decide on a December 12 wedding, but then Diana says, ‘Babe, people are busy at that time, and we will be traveling…’ I’m like, ‘But it’s your day; it’s about you.’ She complained on Netflix, so I suggested October 20, but now it’s up to her to decide,” he shared.
Diana Marua admitted that she isn’t ready for the wedding, which is why she keeps postponing it. When asked what she needs to feel prepared, Diana confessed that she wasn’t entirely sure but is working towards it.
“Weddings give me butterflies… We talked about it, and he asked, ‘Babe, why do you keep postponing?’ and I said, ‘I just want to be ready.’ He asked, ‘Ready for what?’ and I replied, ‘I don’t even know, but I just want to be ready.’ I think I’m not mentally prepared, but I’m working on it,” Diana explained.
She hinted that the wedding might happen next year but did not provide a specific date.
“Honestly, maybe sometime next year,” Diana stated.
In October 2023, Bahati made a significant step by paying dowry to Diana’s family, marking an important milestone in their seven-year relationship, even though the official wedding date remains uncertain.
Bahati and Diana Marua have built a blended family with five children: three children together, an adopted son, and Bahati’s daughter from a previous relationship with Yvette Obura.
Diana Marua, known for her candid storytelling about her youthful adventures, recently shared another intriguing anecdote from her past on the show ‘Hello Mr Right.’
The digital content creator, budding musician, and TV show host opened up about a unique experience involving hosting a man in her home, offering a fresh perspective on relationship dynamics.
During a discussion on the show, sparked by a guest sharing his past experience of living with his girlfriend, Diana Marua reflected on her own past decisions.
She recalled, “There was a time he didn’t have rent, so I took him in,” shedding light on the complexities and challenges of such living arrangements.
The conversation stirred a debate between the hosts, Dr. Ofweneke and Diana Marua, regarding the implications and societal perceptions of men moving into women’s homes.
Dr. Ofweneke emphasized the significance of personal space and traditional roles, cautioning that such decisions can sometimes lead to misunderstandings and disrupt the dynamics of a relationship.
Diana Marua’s candid revelation added depth to the discussion, highlighting her experiences and offering insights into navigating modern relationships with empathy and understanding.
Fans are expressing their frustration with Diana Marua, accusing her of not reciprocating the support they’ve shown her by failing to stand with them during a critical moment. Despite her popularity, Marua’s recent actions have left many feeling disappointed and betrayed.
In recent years, expectations have grown for celebrities and influencers to use their platforms for political and social advocacy. With their significant reach and influence, public figures are increasingly seen as vital voices in the fight for justice and change. This shift was especially evident during the Occupy Parliament protests, where the public expected celebrities to join them in their cause.
As Kenyans took to the streets to protest the Finance Bill 2024, the pressure on public figures to show their support became palpable. Diana Marua, a well-known Kenyan influencer, found herself in hot water after posting a message online late at night, simply stating “#RejectFinanceBill2024.” Unlike other celebrities who joined the protests in person, Marua’s social media post did not sit well with her followers.
Netizens flooded her comment section, criticizing her for the timing and lack of active participation. Many felt that a mere social media post was insufficient, especially since the protests had already been underway for some time. The consensus was that her support came too late to make any real impact.
Fans were particularly disappointed that Diana did not show up in person to support the protests, despite the significant support they had given her during the launch of her latest reality show. This perceived lack of reciprocity led some fans to threaten to unfollow her, feeling abandoned in their time of need. As of now, Diana Marua has remained silent on the issue. Additionally, her husband Bahati did not join the protests and has not publicly shared his stance on the bill.
Another celebrity facing criticism is Eddie Butita. The scriptwriter and comedian has been trending on X (formerly Twitter) for his perceived indecisiveness regarding the Finance Bill and the planned protests surrounding it. While many Kenyans, including celebrities and politicians, took strong stances against the Bill and supported the Occupy Parliament protests, Butita’s attempts to weigh in did not garner much support.
Initially, Butita shared his thoughts on the Bill, mentioning that he had raised some concerns and expressed confidence that action would be taken. However, his politically correct and equivocal statements did not resonate with the public. As pressure mounted, Butita faced increasing criticism for his lack of a clear stance. Despite his attempts to clarify his position, his tweets only fueled further disapproval.
In one tweet, he mentioned “Article 37,” which led to more questions about why he didn’t elaborate on its contents. Fans accused him of being influenced by promises or compromises rather than taking a definitive stand against the Bill.
Mugiithi artist Samuel Muchoki, known as Samidoh, and his second wife, nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, are among the celebrities who appear on Bahati’s reality show, “The Bahati Empire,” currently available on Netflix.
In one episode, Diana Marua expresses her frustration with her husband Bahati’s interactions with his video vixens, specifically mentioning instances where he touches their backsides.
During a conversation with Samidoh and Karen, Diana recounts an incident where she discovered Bahati surrounded by women with large backsides, with Bahati holding them as they twerked for him. She felt disrespected by what she saw.
“I found Bahati surrounded by women with huge backsides, and he was touching them as they twerked for him. The issue isn’t just their size, but the disrespect I witnessed. I wondered how it got to this point, even if it’s work?” Diana shared.
In response, Karen Nyamu interrupts Diana, advising her to stay calm since Bahati is working to provide for the family.
“Your issue is women twerking for your husband while he’s working? Maybe they’re not interested in Bahati. That’s a trivial matter,” Karen remarked.
Karen then warns Diana not to bother her with minor issues.
“Don’t call me for such things. Call me when Bahati does something serious. I thought there was another woman involved, so I could teach you how to manage being in a polygamous relationship,” Karen said.
Diana responds firmly, stating she would never share her husband.
“A polygamous relationship is not for me. I can’t fathom allowing that, saying it’s part of his job,” Diana affirmed.
These candid exchanges in “The Bahati Empire” offer an unfiltered look at the complexities of celebrity relationships and the unique challenges they encounter.
Other well-known personalities featured on the reality show include Rev. Lucy Natasha, The Murayas, Jackie Matubia, and MP Jalang’o, among others.
Kenyan musician Bahati Kioko recently revealed the face of his youngest daughter, Malaika, a moment eagerly anticipated by fans coinciding with the launch of ‘The Bahatis Empire’.
Bahati has been dealing with persistent rumors about the paternity of his children with wife Diana Marua, which surfaced during an episode of their reality show, “The Bahati Empire”.
On the show, Bahati discusses with Diana the stress he’s been under due to online speculation about their children’s DNA. This leads him to consider DNA tests for all their kids.
Diana reassures Bahati of her unwavering support and the strength of their relationship.
This isn’t the first time Bahati has faced such rumors. In 2018, similar speculation emerged regarding their first child together, Heaven. At that time, the couple vehemently denied the rumors and even mentioned the possibility of legal action. Bahati clarified that a previous DNA test was conducted for his older daughter, Mueni, not Heaven.
Furthermore, Bahati’s adopted child, Morgan Bahati, drew comparisons to famous footballer Victor Wanyama due to striking similarities. These instances, among others, have convinced Bahati that conducting a paternity test will provide clarity and alleviate concerns for both himself and his followers.
Diana Marua expressed her frustration after her husband, Bahati, refused to let her undergo a weight loss procedure.
On their new reality show ‘Bahati Empire,’ Diana shared, “Kinuthia and I had planned to have liposuction, but Bahati refused. He told me if I wanted to do it, I’d have to do it without his approval. I am waiting for the day he goes on his travels so I can get it done.”
Jackie Matubia also hinted that her second baby daddy didn’t support her idea of liposuction, saying, “That’s what led to our parting ways because what man doesn’t want his woman to look good?”
Previously, Kinuthia had tried a weight loss balloon but ended up regaining the weight as working out isn’t her favorite activity.
Several celebrities, including Risper Faith, Phoina Tosha, and Murugi Munyi, have undergone liposuction surgery. Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure to remove unwanted body fat.
According to Mclainsurgicalarts.com, “The maximum amount of fat that can safely be removed with liposuction is between six to eight pounds (three to four liters). Removing more increases the risk of complications.”
If more fat removal is needed, additional procedures must be scheduled three to four months apart.
There are six types of liposuction surgeries. The specific procedure depends on the type of liposuction being performed, which may be an outpatient procedure or require an overnight hospital stay. To speed up recovery and reduce swelling and pain, wearing a compression garment on the treated area for several weeks may be necessary
Bahati recently disclosed that he often receives advances from bold, unashamed women, even in the presence of his wife, Diana Marua, who is also the mother of three of his biological children. During an interview with Betty Kyallo on her TV47 show, Bahati shared this revelation when asked who between him and Diana initiates more advances.
“Of course, it’s me. When you buy a girl a Range Rover, a mansion… they want to be the fourth wife, aah, second wife,” Bahati humorously remarked.
However, Diana has made it clear that she is not open to the idea of sharing her husband, as she firmly stated during an episode of their reality show when discussing polygamy with Karen Nyamu, who supports the concept.
“Mpango wa kando (a side chick) is not my portion in Jesus’ name,” Diana firmly asserted to Karen.
Regarding Bahati’s views on polygamy, in July 2023, he jokingly suggested that marrying one wife might prevent many from entering heaven. In a YouTube video, Bahati questioned modern pastors who advocate for monogamy, challenging them to provide biblical evidence supporting it. He cited biblical figures like David and Solomon, who had multiple wives, to support his argument.
During the video, Bahati asked Diana if she believed Solomon, known for his wisdom, was in heaven. Diana confirmed her belief, prompting Bahati to imply that having multiple wives might not be detrimental to one’s spiritual destiny.
“So having many girlfriends is okay?” he concluded, justifying polygamy based on his interpretation of Solomon’s situation.
Despite Diana’s firm stance on monogamy, Bahati noted that in heaven, there will be no marriages, quoting Jesus’ words about people singing and enjoying honey and milk.
Musician Kevin Bahati has, for the first time, addressed the controversy surrounding a viral photo of his fiancée, Diana Marua, with star footballer Victor Wanyama.
The photo surfaced online in 2020, sparking widespread speculation and rumors about Marua’s alleged relationship with Wanyama.
Bahati used the same photo strategically to generate buzz while promoting his new show on Netflix. When asked if he had spoken to Wanyama before reposting the photo, Bahati responded:
“Why should I ask Wanyama if I can post the photo while it is him and his friend? Let me tell you something. I never said anything. Wanyama and Mariga are my friends. I even campaigned for Mariga in Kibra,” Bahati told Betty Kyallo on TV 47.
He went on to explain that his silence was misinterpreted.
“At times you see rumors, and when you are quiet, they fuel more rumors. But when you show people that it’s normal, they will keep quiet. In this show, we will address so many rumors and even more about our lives. The reason we posted it is because people always want to use it. You give people what they want. Kenyans want to feed a lot of negative energy, and we have been quiet.”
Marua also shared her thoughts, questioning why people felt they had a say in who her friends should be.
“You don’t want me to have friends? I can’t take pictures with people, or is it because he is a celebrity?”
Victor Wanyama is married and has a son with actress Serah Teshna.
Bahati revealed that he did not address the allegations to protect everyone involved.
“Most of my fans know that I adopted my son. When the photo was trending a while back, I don’t think he (Wanyama) had a thick skin like I have, and so one day it was trending, and it’s a cruel social media world. It got to him. If I came out to address it, it would not help anyone. I chose to be sarcastic about it and move on.”
Marua clarified that the selfie was taken during a casual hangout with mutual friends.
When asked by Betty Kyallo how she handles social media trolls, Marua said: “My husband (Bahati) has taught me to learn to die in public opinion. The same people who praise you today, will hate you tomorrow. It’s a cruel world. We ignore trolls most of the time.”
Bahati added that he is no longer affected by negative comments.
“I don’t care if she is trending or being trolled. Being real is so rare. The show will highlight the challenges we have gone through in our marriage over the seven years. If we become a perfect couple, we will not be inspiring anyone.”
Kenyan singer Bahati has left fans, friends, and fellow celebrities perplexed with a recent Instagram post featuring an old photo of his wife, Diana Marua, alongside football player Victor Wanyama, accompanied by a cryptic broken heart emoji caption.
The ambiguous nature of Bahati’s post has sparked speculation about the couple’s relationship status, especially since Bahati has reportedly unfollowed Diana on Instagram, adding fuel to rumors of marital trouble.
While some speculate that Bahati may be teasing a new song, others caution against using such ‘expensive jokes’ for attention.
This isn’t the first time the photo has stirred controversy; Diana addressed her relationship with Wanyama in 2020, emphasizing that it was purely platonic. Bahati’s post has elicited a range of reactions from netizens, with many urging him to prioritize protecting Diana from online scrutiny.
Kenyan content creator Diana Marua recently took to Instagram to express her love and longing for her late mother. In a poignant message, Marua reflected on the ways she would have showered her mother with gifts and a comfortable life if she were still here.
Marua imagined spoiling her mother with cars, jewelry, and even a piece of land or a fully furnished mansionette. However, she acknowledges the greater plan and expresses gratitude for the time they shared.
”I’m reminded of your good deeds soo often 🥹 If only you were alive today, God knows how much I would have done for you. I sit and Wonder how different life would be with you around, but God had other plans that I cannot question 🙏🏼,” she started off.
”Maybe I would have bought for you cars, maybe I would have have bought for you Jewellery because you loved them much, maybe today… I would have surprised you with a piece of Land or maybe, this season of Mothers Day, I would have been wrapping your eyes to surprise you with a fully furnished mansionette but then again, all I can Say is, Thank you God for allowing me to spend the few years I spent with you 😭”
Looking forward, Marua finds solace in creating lasting memories with her own children. She hopes to provide them with a life she never had and instill the value of cherishing time together.
Marua concludes by expressing her belief that her mother is her guardian angel. She mentions a video message dedicated to her mother, hoping it makes her proud and serves as an inspiration.
Once again, Diana has opened up about her past, sparking mixed reactions from some of her fans who question her transparency despite being in another marriage.
In an interview with Dr Ofweneke, Diana revealed that she had been simultaneously involved with two men: one residing abroad and the other in Kenya. She disclosed that she was receiving financial support from her overseas boyfriend for rent, a situation that her Kenyan boyfriend seemed to accept.
“I once had a boyfriend while dating another man who lived abroad. The overseas boyfriend would send me money, and I would inform my local boyfriend about it. Surprisingly, he was okay with it, and we used the money to pay the rent. When video chatting with the overseas boyfriend, my local partner would discreetly step aside while we flirted, unbeknownst to him,” Diana shared.
Diana and comedian Ofweneke delved into discussions about different types of relationships and marriages.
This isn’t the first time Diana has shared aspects of her past that have elicited mixed reactions from her fans. She previously mentioned her lifestyle of frequent clubbing and partying from Thursday to Monday, often embarking on road trips to various social venues across the country simply to enjoy herself. She admitted to not attending church and sleeping in from Sunday to Monday.
Bahati, joining in the conversation, jokingly recalled picking her up from many of her late-night outings during their dating days, where she would feign sobriety for him.
“Of course, before I met Bahati, I was living a different life. I never used to go to church. My life would kick off on Thursday and end on Monday before we removed our high heels. The entire weekend was filled with road trips – we’d go to Naivasha, visit different towns, and return home,” Diana reminisced.
She also confessed to dating affluent men in the past to secure financial stability, stating, “I used to date guys for money at some point in my life because I lacked stability. I had someone paying my rent, someone handling my home shopping, someone buying me clothes.”
Bahati and Diana have established their brand by allowing their fans glimpses into their personal lives, including Diana’s past experiences with dating for financial security.
“All I wanted was a comfortable life. Money has never been an issue for me. Even when Bahati and I first met and hung out, he noticed how frequently I changed cars – one day I’d have one car, and the next day, another. He asked me where I got all these cars from,” Diana disclosed.
The Bahati’s have finally opened up on whether they’re ready to have another kid together, despite not showing their last daughter Malaika’s face to their fans.
The two lovebirds, through a YouTube Q&A, they answered numerous questions about their life and future plans, including their marriage; which they postponed.
According to Bahati, he blames Diana Marua for the delay.
“Mimi nilisha set date 12th December akaniambia niko na a lot am doing….. a lot is happening on that day watu watakua sherehe. Then nikachange to 1st of April, akasema hawezi juu itaonekana marriage yangu ni ya uongo.” Bahati said.
Further, Bahati also blamed Diana Marua for the delayed face reveal of their daughter Malaika.
Another Mouth To Feed?
Sharing about their future plans on adding a baby, The Bahati’s remained undivided as Diana Marua wasn’t willing to add another baby; unlike Bahati.
”Of course I want more babies,” Bahati stated.
Diana countered Bahati’s statement and claimed she wasn’t willing to carry another baby in her womb.
”At the end of the day, I’m the one who’s carrying the baby. So, I’m not planning to have another baby.
Bahati seemed uncomfortable with Diana’s sentiments, but the two sweethearts will definitely have a stance on the latter.
