It took weeks to put herself together and accept what was before her and have faith that all shall be well.

2019; one of the my hardest times in my adult life.
1. Endometriosis; I remember being really scared and worried, as a woman this is one of the scariest things to go through. When I was told I hard not 1 but 2 stage 4 cysts I was shuttered. Not knowing if I’ll ever be able to have my own child, how will the surgery go? I cried myself to sleep for weeks before the surgery. I overcame. GOD IS GREAT.

Second, is her breakup with her mzungu lover that saw her sink into depression when their relationship went south, having invested everything in the relationship.

2. Depression; a bad breakup a major loss. I never cared for anyone in my life like I did this guy, and when it was over I thought my life was over too, I went into depression. I overcame . Look at God

Towards the end of it, I figured out my purpose, trusted in God in everything and he showed me the way. I’m happy, I’m healthy and I’m blessed beyond measure. Thank you God for your blessings.

Those were 3 tragic moments that fortunately took shape and Corazon went through them successfully and she thanks God for it all.

Sheilah Kwamboka reveals why she had to quit as a reporter: I saw dead bodies

Former HBR radio presenter Sheilah Kwamboka has revealed why she had to stop reporting on TV and become a radio preasenter.

Kwamboka, who now works at Vybez Radio, said that when she joined TV reporting, she was green and one of the things that pushed her away is the trauma the job comes with.

I was part of the guys who started K24 with other awesome presenters… but I knew very quickly I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t go to school to be a journalist. It’s just something that showed up while I was in campus and I went coz I’m the kind of person that always believes in grinding.

“So when the K24 opportunity appeared I did it and then I covered post-election violence. Terrible. It was very traumatic, I saw so many dead bodies, I saw anger and violence in Kenya in ways that I had never experienced because I was born and raised in Nairobi. I’d never really seen stress until that particular moment travelling all over the country and seeing all this violence and how people had so much hate for each other, I quickly knew I didn’t want to do this,” she narrated.

Different

The former Big Brother Africa Kenya’s rep added that she wanted to do a reporting that didn’t involve politics but found it was hard.

I wanted to tell people stories, I wanted to give people an opportunity to tell Kenyans stories that’s not necessarily politics. That’s why I stopped,” said Kwambox.

Corazon however affirms that privacy to her has always come first, but she takes this brave step just in case a little girl might benefit someday, from it all.

I battled hard to write this because I felt like I’m stripping myself and telling my health issues to the whole world,

I’m a believer of privacy,

But I know this may help one little girl in one little village reading this.

The 26-year old discloses how life took a rough turn for her, coming from a break up into 2 large cysts that sent her into depression.

When I walked into his office, I had no hope, depressed (from a bad breakup) and realizing that I had 2 large cysts( 7cm and 3cm) on both my ovaries.

However, all hope was not lost after her gyna reassured her that everything will be just fine.

So, she went on with her surgery and the results have never been better.

And today, my scan results are back, I’m happy to say I’m a survivor.

Thank you Doctor.

Most thankful to God and my mum too.

She was there with me the whole period, feeling my pain and holding my hand.
