Christina Shusho Set To Sue Pastor Over Her Failed Marriage Comments

Tanzanian gospel singer Christina Shusho is taking legal action against pastor Mbarikiwa Mwakipesile for his remarks about her separation from her husband, pastor John Shusho.

Mwakipesile recently blamed Shusho for the breakup, suggesting her newfound fame from music caused her to walk out on the marriage. He further mocked her explanation of a divine calling as an excuse.

Shusho has refuted these claims and says she will sue the pastor for defamation. She has already involved lawyers who are prepared to take action against anyone spreading misinformation about her marriage.

“Those using my image or name to spread lies will face the full force of the law,” Shusho stated.

This comes after Shusho previously revealed she left the marriage due to a calling from God that required her to focus on her ministry elsewhere.

Let me be open, I have never been fake and I don’t lie. The truth is it’s an assignment. There is nothing different other than that. The assignment God has given me this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to go fulfil the assignment,”Shusho said.

Shusho maintains her separation is due to following a religious calling, not marital troubles.

Gospel Artist Christina Shusho Defends Diamond Platnumz’s Coffin Entrance Performance

Tanzanian gospel artist Christina Shusho has revealed that she sees nothing wrong with Diamond Platnumz’s coffin entrance performance.

In a recent interview with online media, Shusho said that she had not seen the performance herself, but that she respects the creativity of Tanzanian artists.

“I was a little bit busy so I haven’t followed up on that, I haven’t seen it yet but one thing I know is that Tanzanian artists are so creative and I respect them so much,” she said. “They are very very creative so anything they do if it is creativity I fully accept and acknowledge creativity.”

Shusho’s defense of Diamond’s performance comes after the singer was criticized by some for using a coffin as part of his stage show. However, Shusho’s comments suggest that not everyone is offended by Diamond’s artistic choices.

Diamond’s coffin entrance performance was part of his performance at the Wasafi Festival in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The singer emerged from the coffin to perform his song “Yatapita.” The performance was met with mixed reactions, with some fans praising Diamond’s creativity and others criticizing him for disrespecting the dead.

Diamond himself later admitted that he was “scared as f*ck” while inside the coffin, but said that he was happy with the way the performance turned out.

“Coming out from the Coffin was an insane Experience last night, was scared as f*ck in there! 👽,” he wrote on social media.

Whether or not you agree with Diamond’s choice of stage props, there is no doubt that he is one of the most creative and innovative artists in Africa. His willingness to push the boundaries and experiment with new ideas is part of what makes him so popular with his fans.

Shusho’s family

When asked why she no longer posts her family photos, Shusho went on to respond saying sharing photos doesn’t bring her any money; and for this reason fans should not be anticipating for any new photos anytime soon.

I do not post photos of my family because it does not bring in any money. If it does not earn me a thing then why should I post it?

Saint Stevoh, a Kenyan gospel musician who’s actually worth your time

Like many people, I seldom listen to Kenyan gospel music because, as you know, most local gospel artists are not in the habit of praising God in their songs.

There’s a common joke that they just write a song a throw in the words ‘God’, ‘Jesus’ or ‘Bible’ in the lyrics and it’s good to go. But that’s a story for another day.

Not that I am a staunch Christian but I’ve had to listen to international gospel music on many occasions because I couldn’t find any local gospel music that was actually worth my time.

This was long before I discovered Saint Stevoh – who is among the few Kenyan gospel musicians who are actually using their talents to praise God.

I was first introduced to his music in 2015 after listening to a song that he had done with Elsie and Ambassada dubbed Nitakuinua and I’ve been hooked to his music since then.

Just like wine, Saint Stevoh keeps getting better as the days go by. Last year, he released a collabo with Tanzania’s Christina Shusho dubbed Mifupa Mikavu. The song topped local and regional charts and grew his fan base.

He may be underrated and unappreciated but Saint Stevoh is without a doubt one of Kenya’s best gospel artists. It’s only a matter of time before the world pays homage to him.

Christian Shusho: Rose Muhando’s video with pastor Ng’ang’a was shocking

Tanzania’s gospel artists Christina Shusho has come out to speak on Rose Muhando’s viral video that shocked many people.

On November 21, the Tanzanian musician was in Nairobi, at the Neno Evangelism Centre, to be precise, where she rolled on the floor as Apostle James Ng’ang’a cast out the said demons.

The video has left many speechless including fellow singer Shusho.

“The now-viral video (of Rose Muhando) indeed left me in shock. She is a colleague in the gospel industry, and I wouldn’t want to say much about it. Though, what I would tell you is that we – in the gospel industry in Tanzania – are pooling our resources together to ensure that we help Ms Muhando. We have started an initiative, which I believe, will go a long way in offering her the assistance she so much needs,” said Shusho.

Friends

She further revealed that Muhando is her friend, though she admits she didn’t know earlier enough of her problems.

Tanzania Music Foundation (TAMUFO) this week issued a statement demanding Muhando to be  flown back home for treatment.

“We, as an agency, believe Rose Muhando is not demon-possessed, but there is something she is up to.

“As an agency mandated to look into the welfare of musicians in Tanzania, we have decided to seriously look into her claims,” said Tamufo’s secretary Stella Joel, in a statement to newsrooms.
