In loving memory! Papa Shirandula actress Awinja leaves fans in tears after rocking dress with the late actor’s photo imprinted on it

In as much as the country lost a hero whose presence will forever be felt, only the late Papa Shirandula’s close-knit family and friends know how it really feels to have lost the thespian.

When I talk of family, I also mean Charles Bukeko’s family in the popular TV drama series Papa Shirandula. In testimonies and touching tributes given soon after his passing on, actors who shared the same stage with the fallen film star or even went through his hands for molding and mentorship, expressed just how deep and painful the wound his death had caused was like.

Jacky Vike popularly known as Awinja lives to mourn a soul so humble yet so resourceful and impactful in the creative industry such that it would not be fair enough to let another month lapse without creating memories of the late, who was also like a father to her.

Breaking the news across her social media platforms, the petite lass shared a series of photos clad in a sparkling white, loose shirt dress that had the late Papa’s photo beautifully imprinted on its front.

With a V-shaped neck design and pockets to add to its touch, a stunning Awinja proudly rocked the work of art, hands tucked and her natural glow so pure. Simply captioned:

Karen Hospital’s cryptic response to negligence claims over Papa Shirandula’s death leaves Kenyans in shock

Following Papa Shirandula’s untimely death, Karen hospital was put on the spot by his widow, Beatrice Andega over negligence of the comedian’s critical condition that eventually led to his demise.

Soon after, Kenyans took to Twitter to blast the Nairobi-based hospital painting it in all sorts of dark images before it was forced to respond to the same.

In a statement as seen by Ghafla, its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs Juliet W. Nyaga first slammed media houses for ignorance and failing to validate claims with the hospital, regards the tragic occurrence.

We are greatly aggrieved by this action as The Karen Hospital is specialised hospital licensed and certified by The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.

Seemingly bashing claims of negligence, labeling itself as a hospital that maintains its high quality of service to the Kenyan people and especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Karen Hospital carries all its operations with the utmost duty to care for our patients.

The statement further divulged that necessary procedures that might have delayed Papa’s admission on that fateful day, has been the hospital’s routine and therefore, had to be observed.

It’s imperative to note that The Karen Hospital has robust hospital policy guidelines dealing with any patient/next of kin matters.

However, the statement closed off, asking the media to verify their facts before disseminating any sorts of claims regards the city hospital to the Kenyan public.

Addressed?

Unfortunately, it concluded at that, failing to address whether or not Papa would have been saved, were they more careful in their examination and considerate at his hour of need.

The hospital seemingly neither denied nor confirmed the claims, instead distancing themselves from the fatal incident.

May Papa’s soul find eternal peace!

This is not the first time the hospital has been implicated in controversial claims, having previously been held responsible of renowned author Ken Walibora’s demise.

Do you people remember how Professor Ken Walibora died? He died bleeding and pleading for help on the floor of KNH. Papa Shirandula met the same fate at Karen Hospital. He died in his car waiting for admission. Nobody is safe.

Papa Shirandula: My wife is trying to keep me out of the market

Charles Bukeko popularly known as Papa Shirandula is blaming his wife for his weight. The popular actor opened up about a small ‘tussle’ he has with his wife.

Papa is married to Beatrice Ebbie Andega with whom they have three children Tony, Charlie and Wendy. The Citizen TV actor addressed his challenge with weight during an interview with Nation.

Papa says he trying to shed off some weight but his wife is ok with him being chubby. He suspects his wife is trying to keep him off the market.

“I don’t know whether it is malice or maybe my wife is trying to keep me out of the market, but this is her doing. However, I’m fit; we have a small gym in the house,” said Papa.

They aren’t keen to follow on my footsteps

Papa also reveals that his three kids are taking a different path from acting. He says that they don’t even notice what he does but the rest of his family supports him.

“I don’t think they notice what I do. Children are very difficult and hard to predict. They have their lives, which do not go with my line of work. My daughter loves music and is strict about it. But the rest of the family supports me and my parents knew about the character Papa Shirandula before I even started acting it.”
