Tanzanian rapper Country Boy, who is famed for jams such as Wanaona Haya, Turn Up and Calabash, has released a new track with Bunduki and it’s a big tune.

The song dubbed Pesa, which is a Swahili word that means money, has been topping continental charts since it came out a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.
Basically, this song is about how ordinary people work day and night to get money so that they can satisfy needs like providing food for their families and what not.
The underlying message is that money runs the world and there is not much that you can do when you do not have it other than looking for ways to get it.
I really love this jam, other than the message that it carries I am sure you will agree with me that Swahili rap is quite interesting to listen to because it just flows.
Country Boy totally nailed it. His ability to play around with words is unmatched. To add to that, his punchlines will definitely leave you scratching your head as you try to make sense of it all.
The hook by Bunduki was also infectious and it is likely that it will stick in your head the very first time you listen to this jam.
Notably, the beat is also dope and it blends really well with Country Boy’s flow. I also loved the video concept for this jam, especially because the scene transitioning is flawless. Props to the videographer who’s known as Adam Juma.
