Bridget Achieng finally exposes West African deadbeat dad who asked her to abort

Socialite Bridget Achieng has managed to survive a lot to get to the place where she’s currently is right now. The mother of one, who delivered a son, confessed that her baby daddy didn’t want anything to do with her after he got her pregnant.

Her baby daddy, a West African man, walked away immediately after the socialite informed him that she was carrying his baby. In fact, he wanted her to abort but she refused.

For the first time since she fell for him, the socialite took to social media to share a photo of the man. In her Instagram status update Achieng shared a photo collage of her cute son and the baby daddy simply captioning it: “father and son.”

A few weeks ago, Achieng also opened up on why she named him after his deadbeat dad despite him no wanting to be a part of their lives.

“Sekani is an Egyptian name meaning ‘joy’ and Sekani has brought me joy… I am giving my child a name with meaning first one means joy as I don’t want my child to be sad because most of my childhood I was sad because no one was listening to me because my mum was like ‘Bridget ameenda shule amekula ako sawa.’ I called him ‘Rich’ because I want him to be rich, I don’t want him to lack anything. I want everything that is in this world he can acquire it,” she explained in a video dedicated to her son.

“I have given him Opeyemii because that is his father’s native name. I know many people will ask why you gave him the baby daddy’s name, but you know what he is a boy and he will have to go to his roots someday. Like I said my baby will know everything I will teach him everything I will not coat anything,” she disclosed.

Nairobi actress Bridget Achieng has come a long way to the lady she’s currently is now. The controversial socialite, who celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago, took to social media to announce that she’s expecting her first baby.

“For this child I prayed; and the Lord has given me my petition that which I asked of him” (1st Samuel 1:27) . To my babies God mother Patra Okelo, thanks for making sure I don’t miss doctor’s appointment. To all my friends and family thanks for the support and prayers all through, God bless you.” she wrote on her Instagram page. 

She didn’t directly mention the father of the baby however, but in another post on IG, the socialite had hinted who the father might be.

Bridget has been dating a West African man for almost two years now. On her other post, while wishing him a happy birthday, the socialite hinted that he might be the father.

“Help me wish biggest Happiest birthday to the most stubborn annoying, arrogant human being I’ve ever met,” She said.

“When you know you know…,and to thank him for giving me a gift that can’t be bought with money??have a blast day dearest and my GOD give you all your heart desires…#azeez”

Journalist Evelyn Simaloi narrates her emotional journey after learning she had HIV, how it led to her rape

Journalist Evelyn Simaloi, in a recent interview, shared her emotional journey as a person living with HIV after contracting the disease in 1999. Simaloi narrated how she got infected by her friends ex-boyfriend who she fell for but didn’t mention to her that she was infected.

In the interview which was published by The Nairobian, she said that she only learnt she had HIV/AIDS after applying for a job which needed blood tests and they came back positive. She also said that both the man and her friend knew they had the disease but failed to mention to her.

Here is her story:

“A man I was living with infected me. I was introduced to him by my best friend who was dating him. I did not have anywhere to go, so she took me there to work (for him) as a house help.

“I was desperate and I needed money. A few months later, he started showing interest in me and I could not say no. Before I knew it, he had broken up with my best friend.

“She told me that I would regret it, but I dismissed it as just jealousy. In retrospect, however, I suspect she must have known about his status since their baby died two weeks after birth,” Said Simaloi.

She added:

 

“I had applied for a job at a restaurant and they required my health records. I was confident because I thought they were testing for pregnancy or drugs.

“Two weeks later, when the tests came back, I was told I was positive. Actually, the doctor just told me that I had aids and that I only had five years to live. Those days, medication was very expensive. 

“He admitted to having infected me because he was in love with me. He claimed that he was afraid i would leave him. I left him and went to live with his cousin who introduced me to hood rats. Everyone kept hitting on me and I became angry and bitter with men.

“I would insult them and move on because i did not want to disclose my status. Unfortunately, that’s how I ended up being raped. One evening, I was very high and he offered to escort me home. On the way, he overpowered and raped me.”

Bridget Achieng who is a cast member at Nairobi Diaries reality show has taken an HIV test live on social media to show her fans her status.

The lass who is rumored to be in the same business as Vera Sidika and many more has before admitted to be offered money for sex…but as expected she never got into details as this is her private life!

In the video the lass is heard expressing her relief as the results come out negative and goes on to say that she is now planning to lay off unsafe sex until she settles down with her husband in future.

Doing this has however left many asking whether she has been involved in multiple partners since she seemed scared at first. Anyway, this move has encourage people to get tested for the virus, remembering that people who are HIV positive can live longer if they take their medicines and eat right!
