10 Kenyan online comedians who cracked our ribs in 2020

One of the things that kept Kenyans entertained during the self-isolation period were the skits that were made by online comedians.

As such, we decided to make a list of Kenyan online comedians who cracked our ribs this year and left us asking for more.

Here they are:

1. Crazy Kennar – If you’re an avid social media user I am sure you know Kennedy Odhiambo, alias Crazy Kennar. He is so funny. I spoke to him some time back and he told me that he is the content cartel and to be honest, he is.

2. Flaqo Raz – I recently discovered this guy’s real name is Erastus Ayieko Otieno because he looks like a Kevin or a Brian. Anyway, he also makes some dope skits that will definitely leave you on the floor.

3. Cartoon Comedian – Some of you might know this lass because she often appeared on Churchill Raw, some of you might have no clue who she is but you should definitely check out her content if you want to have a good laugh.

4. Mark Mwas – He does skits about high school or college experiences that I am sure many of you can relate with. You’ll even wonder if ever high school or college is exactly the same.

5. Seth Gor – This lad has been making comic skits for sometime alongside Sharon Mwangi and George Kimani and the truth is that they are absolutely hilarious.

6. Blessed Tugi – He is so funny. If you thought Njugush is bonkers then you should meet his son. You know that common saying that an apple does not fall far from the tree, I have never found a place to apply it better than here.

7. Mammito – She is without a doubt the funniest female comedian in Kenya. She is just naturally funny. I always on her Instagram page because I want to be among the first people to see her content.

8. YY – This guy who was once a regular on Churchill Show also makes some short skits which are so hilarious. You start watching one of his videos and you just can’t stop.

9. Brendah Jons – this lady is popularly known as Mama Kingston is also very funny. Her skits always put a smile on my face.

10. Eric Omondi – Of course this would not be complete without naming the president of comedy in Africa, would it? This guy has always been funny and will always be.

2 year old baby Tugi scoops prestigious YouTube award

Having been born in a family where both the mother and father are funny people means the babies would follow into their footsteps; and so far baby Blessed Tugi seems to have inherited the funny gene from his parents.

At only 34 months, the young man has managed to scoop ‘The Silver Play Button Award’ which is given to YouTube content creators who reach or surpass the 100,000 subscriber mark.

Well guess what, Tugi is already at the 107k subscribers; and the views on his also confirm that fans appreciate and enjoy his video contents. To mark this special milestone, his daddy – comedian Njugush recently went on to celebrate his son’s achievement in a short post where he wrote;

For those who have watched the few videos shared on Tugi’s YouTube channel; I bet you can agree that this small boy has the content creator genes running deep in his blood stream.

This is because he has not only proven to creative with some of his projects; but Tugi is also quite smart. He not only has a mind of a grown up but speaks like one – which makes him stand out among his peers.

With a gift like that of Tugi’s – I bet by the time he is 18 years, he would have secured a whole future for himself with or without books. But truth is, his parents investing in his talent is the best gift they would give their precious son!

Comedian Njugush is undeniably grooming his son to look and be like him in a few years. Having struggled while coming up in the industry; both Njugush and Celestine have made it their mission to ensure their son lives the good life they never had as children and above all, are investing in his talent while still young.

So far we have come across many hilarious videos of the young boy; and truth is, in the coming years, this young boy will have the entire comedy industry at the palm of his hands.

Apart from entertaining his fans, turns out that Blessed Tugi is also a fashion killa who has everyone turning their heads with his cool suits. Thanks to his mum and dad, we now have two adorable photos of the young boy dressed up in his tiny designer suits!

Judging from the fact that Tugi borrowed his looks from mommy and daddy; we still can’t really tell who he will take after in terms of looks – but truth is he got his parents talent.

Njugush and Celestine Ndinda’s son, Tugi has finally unveiled his own YouTube channel.

Tugi Kimani is a young man, very promising in the art of comedy, pretty intelligent for his young age but one who has proven to excel in the art better that any of his parents can.

Just have a skit that Tugi is part of, whether he is by himself or in the company of his parents, he will nail it! Be it English or in Swahili or in both his vernacular tongues, Tugi is a sure bet!
