Celebs huddle up to deny any association with cold-hearted conman Wilkins Fadhili after being exposed 

Kenyans during the weekend were glued to raveling drama online as self-proclaimed brand strategist Wilkins Fadhili, real name Edwin O, Osigro was exposed as a conman.

Edwin, a man who was once named among Kenya’s top 40 entrepreneurs and invited to be one of the mentors at Blaze by Safaricom in 2016, ended up being exposed on social media as con man who has been using other people’s name to make a living in Nairobi.

Kahawa Tungu officially exposed him after Larry Madowo, who has been trying to control the damages that fake Facebook accounts are doing to his brand, exposed him and said he’s pressing charges.

Sidelined

Celebs have now joined Larry’s tune and are coming out to deny any association with Wilkins Fadhili after the expose.

Rapper Wangeci mocked him for wearing the same shoes at Blaze summit n 2016.

“The only story I have of Wilkins Fraudhili is wondering why a millionaire worth the same shoes throughout the Blaze 2016 summits,” she tweeted. 

Citizen TV’s Victoria Rubadiri and K24’s Betty Kyallo have also both come out to distance themselves from Wilkins.

“Just to let anyone concerned about any engagements with Wilkins Fadhili; I wouldn’t want to beat him when he’s already down but what he’s been doing is wrong. He is not my ‘brand strategist’ nor that of Flair By Betty. I asked him to stop using my name but he never listened,” said Betty. 

What Betty Kyalo had to say after fans pressured her to speak about Jackie Maribe’s drama  

Citizen TV employee Jackie Maribe has been swimming in a lot of drama ever since she, and boyfriend Joseph Irungu, were accused of murdering Monica Kimani.

The on-going court case is being followed closely by the whole country as citizens await the ruling which will be done next year.

Fellow news anchor Betty Kyalo was asked by a fan to speak about the case recently while on an Instagram live video and she totally refused. The fan wanted to know her take but Betty said she can’t address the case.

“What can you say about Jacque Maribe?” the fan asked. 

“Oh goodness! I cannot get into that topic right now.” she replied. 

Soft news

Instead, Betty addressed softer issues such as why she doesn’t love avocados and hates cooking eggs because of their smell.

“I don’t like the smell of the eggs she said. “Funny enough I don’t like avocado either. Unless I’m eating the avocado with sugar.”

K24 news anchor Betty Kyalo cheated death after a matatu ran over her while town at the age of 17 years.

Through her Insta-Stories, Kyallo shared the sad details of  the accident that happened near Railway Bus station and almost killed her.

“So I wanna tell you a story so yesterday, I met with somebody who asked why I have a scar on my neck. So basically what happened when I was in Form three back in 2005, I think I was 17 years old. So I was walking in tao and crossing the road and this Matatu comes and hits me, hapo Railways, I go got trapped under the Matatu and it’s still moving.

“The left part of my face got scrapped off by the road, so I was while from the shoulder to the face. So my skin is gone , at 17 year old my dream of becoming a news anchor also gone, because I knew they will not allow you on Air with no skin” said Betty in the post.

Huge scar

Betty went on to add that she was hospitalized for two months after the accident.

“I stayed in hospital for about 2 month’s coz I had to go through seven surgeries. I was too broken. And apart from the face, I lost four ribs, my jaw got broken, my lungs collapsed, I was in a real bad state. So two months later I walked out of Hospital but my skin was still peeled off, for about like four months I was scared on walking on the streets because everybody could look at me and feel sorry for me. So I will go to tao with a Kitambaa covering my face. But with time I gained confidence, so one time while at school showering I discovered a dark thing on my face and I realized my skin was growing back” she said. 

Adding:

“So slowly by slowly my skin started to grew back and after a year, the skin was back . The scar on my neck was too deep and that’s why I still have it. For a very long time even after I went on I used to wear high collared shirts to cover my scar coz I was insecure about them. Until one time I was like am gonna , you know what , I almost lost my life , what am I hiding. Coz this is jewelry,.

“I wear my scar as a jewelry I never hide my scars and I love it because it reminds me of where I came from. And that’s the story behind my scars. Just to encourage someone, wear that scar and let it inspire someone else, learn from it don’t let it break you”  said Betty Kyallo.

KTN TV surprises actress Patrcia Kihoro with a prime time show

Radio host and actress Patrcia Kihoro has landed a new TV job on Standard Group’s KTN TV.

The actress, who is also a presenter at Homeboyz Radio, is set to host a new show every Friday during the Friday Briefing segment alongside Victor Ocharo popularly known as MC Victor.

Surprise

Not much about the show is out but on social media, Kihoro said that she had been initially informed by KTN to report for an interview but once there she was surprised by the offer.

The two will be promoting online shop Masoko.

Betty Kyalo’s mum to Betty: Funga masikio and focus on greatness

Betty Kyalo’s mum has come to her defense after the news anchor was exposed by Standard Media, her former employers, of how she was dumped by Governor Joho.

The Nairobian ran a deep story of how Betty Kyalo fell for Joho who spoiled her with money but things quickly took a nosedive once the two broke up.

Strong

Her mother, Julia Ngii, has now come to her defense saying that Betty should ignore the noise and focus on her career.

“Strong is the woman from my womb. Shine, shine mum. Funga masikio and focus on greatness,” said Julia.

Her mum is not the first person from her family to defend her.

Betty’s sister, Mercy, has also defended her asking her to ignore what people are saying.

“Nothing shakes us. Moving on,” said Mercy Kyalo on Instagram. 

 

No hurry, nachukua vitu pole pole! What Betty Kyalo wants before getting married again 

KTN news anchor Betty Kyalo is taking her time in choosing her next man after her first relationship was a disaster that still gets talks about many years later.

After her ugly break up with Dennis Okari, the news anchor will not date anytime soon. In fact, she shared that she has met several people who impressed her but she’s not yet in that mind set.

I want to package myself as a businesswoman, a mum and a potential partner in life. So that when I decide to get married again or start dating somebody, I’m bringing something to the table,” said Betty in an interview with the Star.

And because of that packaging, I’m taking some time off. I have met quite a number of amazing people out there, but nachukua vitu pole pole. I take every day at a time, there’s no hurry. Niko tu sawa. Very single.

Shock on Betty Kyalo and Madowo-less NTV as Citizen TV announces their All-star news lineup 

We all know how much hit NTV has taken after journalists ditched the station. KTN has also suffered in one one way or another. But in the midst of all this anguishing, Citizen TV has reaped big as several journalists from top media houses have all joined the station.

Though Citizen TV recently lost one of it’s top journalist, Kanze Dena, after she was picked by Uhuru Kenyatta as Deputy State House Spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU), the station has an All-star team that will be unveiled this week.

New team

A new promo has revealed their plans that Sunday Live will be presented by former NTV reporter Victoria Rubadiri and paired with Jeff Koinange.

Monday Special will be anchored by Anne Kiguta, while Hussein Mohammed will be presenting News Night on Tuesday. Jeff Koinange will feature again on Wednesday news bulletin, and hosting guests at the end of the bulletin on JKL (Jeff Koinange Live). Thursday News Explained with be brought by former KTN presenter Yvonne Okwara.
