Ben Githae, a gospel singer, describes how a side chick “detained” him for two days

Renowned gospel singer Ben Githae recently shared shocking details about his past, recounting instances of cheating and heartbreak that had a lasting impact on his life.

In an interview with Billy Miya, the Tano Tena hitmaker revealed deeply personal stories that he believes will stay with him forever.

Recalling a particularly painful moment from his past, Githae confessed to cheating on his wife just months after their marriage.

“When I was still a gospel artiste, I visited another girl yet I was married. She put all my clothes in water. She said I would not leave the house yet I was newly married. I spent two days in her house since it was during the cold season and clothes could not dry quickly. My wife caught me cheating. Nilikamatwa vibaya,” he recounted.

The singer didn’t stop there, also sharing a heartbreaking memory from his youth involving a Christmas date gone awry.

“When I was a young man during one Christmas Day, I was learning how to date girls back home. One girl called Shiko came from a rich family and I was from a humble background. She told me she would visit me for Christmas. I even bought a new T-shirt for the date,” he explained.

Githae said he walked to the meeting point only to see his girl riding in a car with another man.

“There were no phones, so I went to the meeting point which we had agreed on. Sadly, I saw the girl being driven in a car by a young man from a rich family. She looked at me and ignored me,” he lamented.

Githae described deceiving his mother and feeling troubled and anxious the next day.

“Feeling disappointed, I returned home. My mother inquired why I had come back, and I claimed I had forgotten something in my small room. I went inside and slept, only to wake up on Boxing Day.”

These experiences left Githae deeply scarred, leading him to admit that he struggles to fully trust or love any woman.

“That changed my perception of dating. Until today, I can’t love 100%. I don’t love any woman with all my heart. I think I got blood pressure,” he confessed.

In 2019, Ben Githae admitted to infidelity, revealing that he had cheated on his wife of 18 years and fathered three children outside of their marriage, including twins.

Pastor Kanyari´s ex-wife, singer Betty Bayo turned heads after her photo together with Kikuyu musician, Ben Githae emerged, hinting that despite her broken marriage, she had found solace elsewhere.

The gospel songbird parted ways with her controversial pastor of a husband, Victor Kanyari in 2015 after their marriage that bore them two kids, turned sour.

Since then, the female artist hinted she had found new love, but never disclosed who the man was, what he does or even showed his face.

So recently, she put up a photo of herself together with Ben Githae and that had seemingly answered fans about her new relationship. She captioned:

If God can take away something you never expected losing, he can replace it with something you´ve never imagined having.

The Kikuyu gospel artist had earlier on been exposed for impregnating a 31-year old woman with twins, before he fled after realizing she was expectant with their children.

So fans had every reason to believe that the vernacular artiste had strayed from his marriage again and was busy warming Betty Bayo´s bed.

Ben Githae has now come out to address the allegations while speaking to The Nairobian recently, where he rubbished:

I´m not in a relationship with her. It´s just a story (Bayo´s update) meaning that; you can travel and meet what you were not expecting. It´s just a hidden message that can mislead people. Ni story tu iko na kizungu mingi…na watu wanashindwa kuelewa maana.

Further completely distancing himself from any romantic relations with the female singer, clarifying that they have a professional relationship, working on a collabo piece together.

I don´t know much about Betty. In fact, I don´t know her boyfriend and I don´t want to know anything about it. I´m a settled family man. For now, we are working on a song together. In fact, people should not interpret that to mean other things, and those asking should know we are just working on a hit, nothing else.

Ever since releasing “Tano Tena”, Kenyans believe Ben Githae only sings for politicians and not God.

Githae recently had to explain his new song saying that it hasn’t been sponsored by any politician, and that it is straight from the bible.

This is after Kenyans claimed that the new jam, “Thutha Wa Hema’ (Behind the Tent), speaks about President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga’s handshake, urging people from MT Kenya region to accept the union.

“The song is written from the scripture, just that it has a political message. It is a message for people to go behind the ‘tent’ and agree. Basically, I am telling them to have a dialogue together because two cannot walk together unless they agree,” says Ben Githae.

Divided

The song is about unity and is meant to unite differing political factions in Central such as the ‘Kieleweke’ and ‘Tanga Tanga’.

“Currently, in Mt Kenya region, people are so divided, with groups like Kieleweke, Tanga Tanga, among other groups. And so the need to come up with the song to ask them to reason together so we find where the problem is,” explained Githae.

Gospel musician Ben Githae admits he cheated on his wife and got blessed with twins in the process

Tano Tena singer Ben Githae, in a rather unexpected turn of events, has admitted that he cheated on his wife and in the process got twins.

Speaking in an interview on Radio Jambo, the gospel singer said that he was happy in his 18 years of marriage but still fell to temptations and impregnated another lady, his baby mama Margaret Wanjiru.

Wanjiru, who got the twins, recently came out to accuse the singer of pushing him to have an abortion, then neglected the kids when they were born.

Githae confessed that the straying brought a lot of issues in his family. His baby mama revealed that the two had a steamy affair from 2011 to 2016  when he started dodging her.

“I was married for 18 years before I strayed out of our marriage with Margaret Wanjiru. I cannot say when I exactly started straying all I can say is I strayed and I admit that. My wife found out long ago that I had strayed and gotten twins and it brought out a lot of issues between us. We sorted some but some issues were left unsolved,” he said.

”There were threats and intimidation from my baby mama and that is when she implemented them and let the world know we had children together,” he added.

Gospel singer and number one Jubilee Party campaigner Ben Githae has come out to deny allegations that he wanted to kill a woman carrying his twins.

Rose Wanjiru is accusing the popular Kikuyu singer of abandoning her with the twins and also trying to kill her by sending Mungiki members to finish her off.

In an interview with TUKO, Wanjiru has narrated how she met the gifted singer in December 2011 when he had separated with his wife and a romantic affair started.

The two enjoyed each other’s intimacy until Wanjiru became paged with twins in 2016 and that’s when drama started.

Githae started claiming the children belong to Pastor J.J Gitahi and has refused to take a DNA test ever since. He then started pressuring her to get an abortion.

Githae however, denied all these saying that he’s been financing her baby mama.

“I have not refused the children are mine, neither have I refused to have a DNA test. I have been taking all the responsibilities. I have been paying the house rent for her, doing everything for her, if there’s anything else, she should tell you, this woman is out to tarnish my name, let her continue doing so,” said Githae.

Ben Githae responds to KOT after being blasted for receiving Head of State commendation

Ben Githae, Robert Alai and Githeri Man were some of the people who were blasted for being feted by the state. KOT thought real heroes and heroines were sidelined.

Head of State Commendation (HSC) drew a lot criticisms from Kenyans. KOT thinks HSC was awarded to people who only support Uhuru’s regime.

KOT for instance couldn’t understand why Kamotho Martin aka Githeri Man received HSC. Bloggers Robert Alai, Dennis Itumbi and Pauline Njoroge are thought to receive HSC for supporting Uhuru.

Gospel singer Ben Githae is said to receive HSC because he composed the Jubilee party campaign song ‘Tano Tena’. The singer has since responded to critics who think he doesn’t deserve HSC.

Ben Githae asserts that he deserves the commendation. He says he doesn’t care what people say as long as God knows he deserves the HSC.

“So my contribution in this artist world has been recognized by the President. What I would like to tell them is that favor is very unfair. Me kwanza ni msanii wa Gospel sana ata kuliko vile nilifanya hiyo ya ‘Tano Tena’.

“Kuna kitu in gospel, unaeza ona msanii amejifunga kuomba ameenda mpaka sijui wapi ndio music yake ihit but favour isipokufuata hutapata kitu yeyote but kuna mwingine anaambiwa anakunywa pombe ako na wasichana but akitoa wimbo watu wanakua kwa foleni wakinunua ngoma yake.

“It is called unmerited grace yani ukipata kibali kwa king ata mwingine akuje afanye somersault but God akisema Ni Ben Githae amepata favor that is how it will be.

“I got it because I deserve it before the eyes of God, but some people may feel I do not deserve it, its before their own eyes,” Ben Githae told Word Is.

 

 

Tano Tena hit maker Ben Githae drops yet another song – Hapo umepotea

Gospel singer Ben Githae seems to be on a roll. After dropping a political song dubbed Tano Tena, the singer is back. He has a new song urging Kenyans not to boycott Kenyan products as advised by opposition party leader, Raila Odinga.

The song dubbed Hapo umepotea talks about the importance of unity and why Kenyans should continue showing faith in their own products.

Is he done recording gospel songs

It has been a while since the singer dropped any gospel song leaving many wondering where he stands. Anyway judging from his latest projects, he could be changing the type of songs he records.

Ben Githae is however popularly known for hit song Maya nimo mabataro Makwa which has seen him raise to the top. Anyway below is the video of his new song:

Jubilee and Nasa are competing on all fronts; choppers, cars, foreign funding and even music. Gospel singer Ben Githae has dropped a new UhuRuto anthem to counter Nasa’s.

Singer Onyi Jalamo composed a song dubbed ‘Nasa’ also popularly known as ‘Tibim’ which is the main campaign song for Nasa affiliation.

The song became popular thanks to the word ‘Tibim’ which is synonymous with Babu Owino, the former University of Nairobi chairman has made ‘Tibim’ his campaign slogan.

Anyway, Ben Githae has dropped a new song for UhuRuto re-election to counter Nasa’s anthem. Githae’s song dubbed ‘Ndani Tena’ showcases the accomplishments of Uhuru’s government for the time he has been in power.
