Saumu Mbuvi Speaks On Her Failed Relationships

This isn’t the first time the couple has raised eyebrows since their breakup in 2017.

On July 13, Ben Gatu shared a video on Instagram of him and Saumu partying together at an undisclosed location. The video showed the pair having a great time in a club, accompanied by another person. Saumu Mbuvi appeared happy and was seen dancing to the music, which caught the attention of many fans.

The speculation intensified when Saumu reposted the video on her account, proudly captioning it, “My baby daddy is better than yours.”

The video hints at a friendly and possibly romantic reunion between the two, who are known for their co-parenting efforts.

Saumu Mbuvi has every right to celebrate Anwar Loitiptip’s fall

Recently, Saumu has praised Gatu on social media, indicating they are on good terms. Gatu, in turn, has consistently shown appreciation for Saumu, especially on her birthdays.

Saumu Mbuvi and Ben Gatu’s relationship began while they were both studying at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). They were often seen as the epitome of couple goals until their relationship ended in 2017, shortly after the birth of their daughter.

Reflecting on their past, Saumu revealed in a previous interview that their relationship was toxic. She admitted that falling in love at the young age of 21 was a mistake that significantly affected her mental health.

“My first relationship. I was only 21, young and naive, thinking the relationship would lead to marriage. It totally damaged me and left me in depression,” Saumu confessed.

After her breakup with Gatu, Saumu moved on with former Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip. The couple had two children together but eventually parted ways in 2021.

Saumu accused Anwar of gender-based violence, allegations he denied. According to Anwar, he only hit Saumu once, unaware she had bipolar disorder. He claimed her condition led to unpredictable behavior, such as breaking things, shouting, and experiencing memory loss for up to a week.

Anwar suggested that Saumu’s bipolar disorder had affected her previous relationships as well. “Even before we met, she had that problem, and that’s why all her boyfriends left her,” he stated.

While the video of Saumu and Gatu partying together has fueled rumors of a possible reconciliation, neither has confirmed the status of their relationship. However, their ability to co-parent effectively and maintain a friendly rapport suggests they have found a way to move past their previous issues.

Fans are curious to see if this recent display of camaraderie will lead to a rekindled romance or if Saumu and Gatu are simply setting an example of amicable co-parenting.

I used to cry myself to sleep when baby daddy  was cheating on me-  Saumu Mbuvi

Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Mbuvi topped headlines in 2017 after bashing his then lover Benson Gatu who was allegedly cheating on her while she was pregnant.

Though Mbuvi never really got into details of what happened, she has now revealed why she took to social media to call out her ex-lover then.

“I had moved in with Gatu, when he started acting up. He would claim to have gone for a business trip, and I would later learn that it was all lies. He was cheating on me with another woman. That is why I even posted about it on social media because it was someone I knew, a daughter to one of the governors. I do not mean to tarnish his name or his political ambitions, but this is one story I have to make clear,” she revealed in an interview with People Daily.

Third trimester

In the interview, she also revealed that Gatu would leave her in the house to go and have fun with his side dish at the coast.

“During my last trimester, the guy had disappeared. Even for clinical appointments and other important matters, he was nowhere to be seen. Many are the nights I used to cry myself to sleep. I ended up frustrated, and when I couldn’t take it anymore, I moved back to my parents’ home. One thing I have come to understand is that relationships fail. I am not and will not be the first one to be cheated on and left. Just because I am in the limelight doesn’t mean everything has to be perfect.” she said.

Saumu Mbuvi ex Ben Gatu throws shade at Kenyan ladies: They don’t know how to dress

Saumi Mbuvi ex-lover Ben Gatu was recently on Instagram to shares his thoughts and takes after watching the Royal Wedding last weekend in which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows as the world closely followed.

Long rant

Gatu took to Instagram to post a long rant about how Kenyan ladies don’t know how to dress and might have gone to the wedding in wrong attires if invited.

“It was a great day for the newlyweds at Windsor. However, it was even greater for you because it came with a load of ideas for your wedding in future. Among them, the elegance, confident postures and walks by the bride and notably the natural face she wore without make up but most importantly how to dress on others weddings,” he said on social media.

Benson Gatu

“It’s prudent to note the below dignitaries in their respective respectable attires. In Kenya, ladies would have attended such a wedding with dresses exposing their entire backs and cleavage not to mention short skirts only covering the least of the private parts and the excess badly-done make up that gets people like me confused on whether it was Uhuru Park-done face painting,” went on the rant.

And finally concluding:

“In future, it’s worth noting that you don’t have to wear exposing attires to look amazing. Let this act as a clue on my dressing expectations in case you attend my wedding. Unless, of course your intention is to confuse the groom. Young men should also be informed to avoid football jersey and the Cheers Baba attires. It’s uncouth.”

Saumu Mbuvi’s baby daddy Ben Gatu rattles Kenyan women with hard-hitting message after the royal wedding

Ben Gatu wants Kenyan women to learn from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. He says the era of women dressing like hookers in weddings should stop.

So last Saturday the world’s attention was in UK as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows in a colorful wedding that was televised live across the globe.

Some people noted international celebrities who attended the wedding dressed ‘decently’ – ladies didn’t expose cleavages or thighs.

“It was a great day for the newly weds at Windsor. However, it was even greater for you because it came with a load of ideas for your wedding in future. Among them, the elegance, confident postures and walks by the bride and notably the natural face she wore without make up but most importantly how to dress on others weddings,” Ben Gatu noted.

Lessons to learn

Gatu implores Kenyan women to take a leaf from international celebs who attended the royal wedding. He argues that short skirts and badly-done make up should not be tolerated in weddings.

“It’s prudent to note the below dignitaries in their respective respectable attires. In Kenya, ladies would have attended such a wedding with dresses exposing their entire backs and cleavage not to mention short skirts only covering the least of the private parts and the excess badly-done make up that gets people like me confused on whether it was Uhuru park- done face painting.
