Aspiring entrepreneur and social media influencer Amira has expressed her disappointment with men who publicly disrespect their wives, arguing that such behavior diminishes how others perceive them.
Amira’s comments were inspired by the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Nigerian actress and model Annie Idibia’s marriage to her husband, legendary musician 2Face Idibia, whose repeated infidelity scandals have cast a shadow over their relationship.

The mother of two noted that Annie, despite her remarkable career and business acumen, has faced diminished respect due to her husband’s actions and her choice to stay in the marriage despite his numerous transgressions.
Amira’s Perspective
In an Instagram story, Amira wrote, “A husband reflects his wife. How he treats her sets the standard for how others perceive and treat her. Regardless of a woman’s accomplishments, intelligence, or respect in her field, if her husband disregards her worth, it paves the way for others to follow suit.”
Drawing from Annie’s experience, Amira highlighted how a disrespectful partner can overshadow a woman’s shine.
“Annie is a talented woman who has achieved so much. Many of us admired her when her husband, then boyfriend, featured her in his iconic African Queen music video. It showcased his love for her so beautifully that their relationship became something to admire.
But today, the same man who made us adore her is the one who has exposed her to public ridicule through his cheating,” Amira continued.
Public Ridicule and Its Impact
Amira noted that 2Face’s infidelity has become a weapon used against Annie in arguments or public criticism, as it leaves her with no effective defense.
She urged people to take lessons from the couple’s struggles, emphasizing that personal relationships often overshadow professional achievements in the public eye.

2Face’s Public Apology
In 2022, 2Face publicly apologized to Annie after reportedly fathering his sixth child outside of their marriage.
In a heartfelt post, he admitted to being a bad husband and father, apologizing to his wife, children, and other families involved. “I have no excuses. I just want to do right by my wife, my kids, and everyone affected,” he wrote.
However, two years later, the situation remains largely unchanged, with 2Face’s actions continuing to overshadow Annie’s accomplishments.
