Samuel Kiranga, the founder of popular band Koinange Street Avengers, who Kenyans were asked to share his photo and information on social media in order to locate his whereabouts, is dead.
Kiranga was first reported missing last week on May 14th at Mountain View Estate. He was only 29 years old.
Not clear what happened
Without sharing what really happened, Kenyan metal band Last Year’s Tragedy broke the sad news with a series of tweets saying:
“It is with a heavy heart that we must share the sad news of the passing of one of our closest friends, Sam Kiranga.
“Those who’ve been in the scene long enough know how many stages we shared together, and how many shows we’ve been to in support of each other’s bands. We love him like a brother, and always will.
“In the hearts and souls of all the people who have had the pleasure of working, playing and being a part of the amazing music he created, he will most certainly live on.
“Please take a moment of silence to honour a great guitarist, singer-songwriter, band mate, but more importantly, friend.
“Rest now, Sam. Till we meet (and rock) again. We love you, brother.”
