He reflected on how the friends he chose played a significant role in shaping his future, saying, “In life, if there’s anyone who decides your future, it’s not the teacher or the parent, but the friends you choose in life…they are the ones who define your destiny.”

Omosh recounted how he funded his addiction through his job as a conductor after high school and struggled with his drinking habits throughout his college years, which he ultimately could not complete due to his addiction. His alcohol abuse led to severe health issues, including ulcers, and required surgery.

Despite his recovery from surgery, he fell back into drinking due to peer pressure. His alcohol dependency became so severe that he could not eat without drinking first. “A large percentage of my blood was alcohol…I couldn’t eat unless I drank first,” Omosh admitted.

Former Tahidi High Actor Omosh Triumphs Over Alcoholism and Smoking

Former Tahidi High actor Omosh has revealed that he has triumphed over alcoholism and smoking through a newfound connection with faith.

In an interview with Mungai Eve, the actor spoke about his struggles with addiction and how his journey towards recovery has been intertwined with his spiritual awakening.

“God transforms you to a permanent person,” Omosh said. “Like right now, I am enjoying the life God has given me. If I knew this is how this side of God looks like, I would have reformed a long time ago.”

Omosh said that he regretted his past actions but recognized that God’s timing is perfect.

“I gave my life to Him early this year,” he said. “God hates a liar.”

The turning point in Omosh’s life came after the loss of two close friends, which prompted him to reflect on the trajectory of his own life.

“I realized I was messing up with my life,” he said. “I was so much into alcohol.”

Once a churchgoer, Omosh strayed from his faith, but his experiences led him back to the embrace of spirituality.

“I have gone to church recently,” he said. “I have been very prayerful and trying to fight alcoholism and smoking addiction but it was not working. My sister sponsored me to a rehab and that is where I learned about that.”

Omosh cautioned against judging those who battle addiction, noting that many regret their choices daily.

“Never judge a drunkard,” he said. “Most of them are regretting every day. My sister spent over sh200k to invest in me and misused that opportunity.”

Omosh said that his sister extended her support and offered him another opportunity for rehab.

This time, however, he made a resolute decision to steer clear of alcohol.

“My family and friend’s prayers have worked out for me,” he said.

Omosh’s story is a reminder that recovery from addiction is possible, even after years of struggling. With the help of faith, family, and friends, it is possible to overcome any obstacle.

However, i cant help but womder….how fast has Omosh been able to work on himself to a point he can pose as a motivational speaker. I say this judging from his drinking history and i know youre also asking the same question.

Omosh looking to fit in the entertainment industry

After years of entertaining Kenyans through the Tahidi High; turns out that Omosh did not  save much as most of his money went to alcohol and of course the good life.

Years later he was reported to be roaming around one of Nairobi’s largest slams; and Kenyans always being supportive – they stepped in to help a brother pay off his house arrears that totaled up to 100k.

Anyway since then the actor now seems to be at a good place both in mind and spirit. Hopefully he has learnt from his previous mistakes and is now focused on making himself better.
