Azeezah and Guda Man, the new hosts of “10 Over 10”

Citizen TV has officially unveiled the permanent hosts for the popular show “10 Over 10” following Willis Raburu’s departure. The dynamic duo of Azeezah (Aziza Hashim) and Guda Man will take the reins of the show.

Raburu, who conceptualised the show during his time at Citizen TV, took to social media to share his thoughts on the new era of the show and expressed his approval of the new hosts.

“Fresh and amazing! Vaibuuuuuuuuuu! Congrats once again to the dynamic duo Azeezah and Guda Man; the only way to go is up! Shine on!” he wrote on Instagram.

Raburu also directed special messages to Azeezah and Guda Man, acknowledging their talents and wishing them success.

“Amazing!!!!! All the best, keep shining! Keep soaring! You got this!!” he posted to Azeezah.

“Brother man! You are a certified star! I’m so proud of you, my G! Keep soaring and shining!” he said to Guda Man.

Azeezah and Guda Man’s first show together will be on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Kwambox, the guest presenter on “10 Over 10”

Kwambox, the Kiss 100 presenter, brought her lively personality and high energy to the recent episode of “10 Over 10”. She made sure that the live audience, as well as those who tuned in on TV, had a great time.

The ‘Captain of Good Vybez’ had lots of fun lined up for her audience with many appreciating the energy she brought on board.

We wish Azeezah and Guda Man all the best in their new roles as hosts of “10 Over 10”. We are excited to see what they bring to the show!

Socialite Vera Sidika was recently on the Trend where she officially launched her new song “Mimi”.

During the interview with Amina Abdi, Jegede showed up and gave the bootylicious socialite a bouquet of flowers. We all know how the singer is head over heels in love with Vera.

Hopeful

Unfortunately, Jegede got a shocker of his life after Vera dropped a bomb on him telling him that she already has a boyfriend.

Jegede, whose real name is Jackson Rakama, even presenter a poem for her.

“Vera, I have always loved you from way back. And words can’t explain my undying love for you. You’re everything I ever needed and more. A lot has been said about me, my love towards you. People think I’m after something. I’m not after money. I just want to share my love with you. I just want you to accept me the way I am.” he read. 

He then went ahead to ask for her love:

“I have a large sugarcane farm in Busia. We can do a lot together. You’re very beautiful. How can someone leave such a woman?” he said. 

“I appreciate you a lot but I have a boyfriend and here’s here [kenya] you know.” said Vera. 

“I’ll wait for you. I won’t give up,” said the singer.

Kwisha!!Joey Muthengi quits Citizen TV after falling in trouble over betting deal with Mariga

Citizen TV host Joey Muthengi has handed in her resignation at Royal Media Services after landing in trouble over her betting endorsement.

The “Day Break’ and ‘10 over 10′ host handed in her resignation on Wednesday after she was summoned for disciplinary action for endorsing Betin yet RMS has its own betting company called Shabiki.

She gave them a four day notice and left the station according to sources.

The source further revealed that Citizen TV wanted to punish her for the actions since she’s seen as a brand ambassador of the station and all their products.

“The thinking was that she is a Citizen TV brand and should not be promoting a rival company,” said the source who spoke to Nairobinews.

Citizen TV 10 over 10 host Joey Muthengi has left her fans in stitches after posting a photo of her snoozing that was quickly turned into meme.

The host then later took to Instagram to join the fun, giving the image a caption that left many laughing.

“How I pray for my exes. Jesus loves you regardless.” she posted. 

Old guys

The photo which was captured during her sister’s wedding last weekend left many laughing or questing about her exes. Remember, Joey was recently in the news after she confessing she only dates old guys.

“As a consumer of older men there is just like stability in that, or reassurance that they know what they need out of life, have learnt the lessons that needed to be learnt. They are even able to share their knowledge. These young guys are only good in pictures,” she said. 

She added: “ati we are hustling together we can’t both be on the same level. Someone needs to have made it. In fact most of the guys whom you build each other from scratch usually end up leaving the woman for someone else. That is what mostly happens in those types of situations.”

Which leaves us thinking, was this message directed to her past wazees? It must be.

Citizen TV presenter Joey Muthengi would go straight for a rich older guy than wander around with a broke younger guy.

The 10 over 10 host, who is rumored to be dating  a moneyed guy, shared that dating a broke guy is one of the riskiest things women do because they don’t know how he’ll change once he gets the money. It also doesn’t have security.

Old men

Speaking during Citizen TV breakfast show, the 33-year-old revealed in a heated argument that she would rather date older men who are rich rather than struggle with a young promising guy. Her comments left co-hosts Willis Raburu and panelist Roy Karuhize rather surprised.

“As a consumer of older men there is just like stability in that, or reassurance that they know what they need out of life, have learnt the lessons that needed to be learnt. They are even able to share their knowledge. These young guys are only good in pictures,” said Muthengi. 

She added:

“I am looking for security financially, maturity, these are things I need in a relationship. Like I said off camera I spent a lot of my youth with the youths while in campus. What did they do for me? ati we are hustling together we can’t both be on the same level. Someone needs to have made it. Moral cop Ezekiel Mutua attacks 10/ 10 after hosting Akothee: It was a shame to see someone claiming to be a mother of 5 parade her nudity on TV

Moral cop Ezekeil Mutua was on another attacking spree after Citizen TV show 10 over 10 angered a section of Kenyans.

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO, who is not a fan of the show, attacked Citizen for hosting Akothee and “letting her show her nudity while young kids watched”. On Facebook he blasted Akothee  saying that she could have been better.

“Since Friday night, I have received numerous complaints from TV viewers regarding inappropriate content on 10/10 on Citizen TV hosted by Willis Raburu. Of great concern was the segment featuring Akothee but some viewers also say that some of the audience appeared like underage children. It’s not the first time we are receiving complaints about 10/10 and the infantile behavior of the Show hosts. It was a shame to see someone claiming to be a mother of five parade her nudity on TV as the Show host cheered on and urged the young audience to cheer as well,” said Mutua.

He went on:

“Yet, apart from the allegations of having underage children on the Show, it’s outside the remit of the Board as it comes past the watershed period (5am – 10pm). Obviously, media houses have a duty to uphold morals and professionalism in their work, but we all know that most journalists in Kenya lack creativity and think the only way to popularize their programs is by airing lewd and obscene content. Willis Raburu is such one character.The Board has proposed a raft of measures to protect children from exposure to premature sexual experiences on media. Last week we had the chance to share this with the Senate Committee on ICT and we are hoping to meet their counterpart in the National Assembly in the coming weeks, after which we shall push for an amendment to the law, including redefining the watershed period. “

Adding:

“In the meantime, we continue to appeal to parents and adults in general to be responsible and guide the children on the kind of content they watch. Most of the challenges we have in society today, particularly the unrest in schools and bizzare incidents of homosexuality are as a result of the bad content kids are exposed to. It’s not just Citizen TV that’s a problem. We have issues with Churchill Show on NTV having a segment on children (Totos Corner), yet most of the jokes are of adult nature. Most media houses do not observe ethical standards and are out to make money at all costs. There’s need for concerted efforts to build a morally upright society. The media must set the agenda by observing the watershed period to ensure that content aired during prime time is suitable for family viewing. Let’s not trade our values for money!

10 over 10 host Joey Muthengi quits show

Joey Muthengi will no longer host the popular 10 over 10 show that airs on Citizen TV. She recently made the announcement on her social media pages that she has quit, saying that it was time for her to grow.

“I feel like it’s time I grew into the more serious segments of news anchoring, besides, I’m loving it,” said the popular hosts who works along side Willis Raburu.

Looking for a serous image?

At 32, Muthengi, it seems, is moving to a more serious image after she started anchoring the One O’clock news on Citizen TV. She might become a full time anchor and join the likes of Lilian Muli and Janet Mbugua who dominated the field.

10 over 10 has also been marred by some negative controversies with moral cop Ezekiel Mutua always attacking the program for indecency another reason why the host might have left the program.
