Tabitha Gatwiri’s Brother Reflects on Her Final Hours and the Man She Loved

After days of speculation surrounding Tabitha Gatwiri’s untimely death, her brother Brian has spoken out, recounting the devastating moment he discovered her body and sharing the family’s ongoing search for answers. Brian also opened up about Gatwiri’s relationship with her boyfriend.

In a recent interview on Jalang’o TV, Brian, the younger sibling of Tabitha, reflected on her role in their family. “My name is Brian. Tabitha is our firstborn,” he said, describing their family of five children, with Tabitha as the eldest. He fondly remembered her early love for comedy and noted how her talent blossomed at Kenyatta University, where she studied Literature.

Brian shared the heartbreaking details of the day he found her. “I was with her the evening before, and she was in great spirits. But the next day, she didn’t answer her phone or appear online, which was unusual,” he recalled. Concerned, he went to her home after work, where he had to break down the door. Sadly, his fears were confirmed around 5:40 pm. “I called the police, my friends, and my parents,” he said.

Brian also discussed the profound impact of her passing on their parents, especially their mother, who continues to struggle with the loss.

While the exact cause of Tabitha’s death is still unknown, Brian explained that the family awaits test results from the government chemist, as the initial autopsy was inconclusive. He shared that there are various theories, but they are holding off on speculation until they receive definitive answers.

Brian also spoke about her relationship, mentioning that he knew her boyfriend, with whom she had future plans, although she wasn’t married and had no children. He expressed admiration for her generous spirit, noting that she introduced him to the digital marketing world and many connections in the industry.

Brian fondly remembered her thoughtfulness and inclusivity, describing how her compassionate nature left a deep impact on those who knew her.

As the family prepares for her burial on 15 November at their father’s homestead in Meru, they are supporting each other through this difficult time while awaiting answers about her passing.
