“Stay Tuned!” Akothee Sends a Strong Message to Her Critics
Musician Akothee recently took to Facebook to share a series of photos documenting her journey from the early days of her construction projects to the lifestyle she now enjoys.
Alongside the images, she addressed her critics, challenging them to reflect on their own lives:
“Before fixating on my life and letting bitterness consume you, ask yourself: Where were you in 2013? How old were you then? Be honest. Where will you be in 10 years, and are you working towards that goal?”

Akothee reflected on her own path, revealing that at 32 years old in 2013, she had already envisioned her retirement and begun taking deliberate steps toward achieving it.
“The home you see is my retirement sanctuary in Rongo, Kamagambo—a testament to my passion for development. I supervised every aspect of construction, driven by a clear vision of what I wanted to accomplish. This was built entirely debt-free, without taking any loans,” she shared.
The businesswoman and mother of five revealed that dating was not a priority during this period, as she focused on supporting her family and building her legacy.
“While working on my home, I managed to provide for my children, siblings, and others while traveling the world and pursuing my goals. Dating didn’t even cross my mind—I needed to create a safe haven for my children first. After completing my home, I started building one for my mother as a gesture of love and gratitude,” she disclosed.
Akothee emphasized that her current lifestyle is the result of prioritizing what truly mattered and encouraged others to carve their own paths.
“When you see me enjoying life, remember that it’s the fruit of years spent focusing on my goals. Don’t just follow the crowd; be original and work on building a future aligned with your dreams and values,” she advised.
She concluded with an exciting hint about her upcoming achievements, stating, “This time next year, I will have three new titles to my name.”
