Southern Bypass a mess with protesters attacking motorists

Reports reaching us seem to indicate that things are not well along the Southern Bypass as hooligans have decided to take advantage of the Maandamano that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had called for and are attacking people and looting goods.

Videos circulating on social media show instances of pure violence where criminals have gone as far as burning trucks that were ferrying goods to Uganda, hiding under the guise of Maandamano Tuesday and many motorists are stranded along the Southern Bypass.

We hope the situation will be resolved and the criminals apprehended.
