Singer Kidum Opens up About His Multiple Failed Marriages
Legendary Burundian-Kenyan musician, Jean-Pierre “Kidum Kibido” Nimbona, has opened up about his personal life, including his numerous children and failed marriages.
Despite having seven children with different women, the 50-year-old singer says he doesn’t regret his decisions. “I was very young when I had my first child,” he shared. “My firstborn, who is now 30, lives in Canada. I’m proud of all my children, and I’m excited to welcome more.”
Kidum has been married twice before, but both relationships ended. However, he remains optimistic about his current marriage. “Marriage is about two people, each with their flaws,” he explained. “But as you grow, you keep learning and getting wiser.”
After his previous marriages failed, Kidum took full responsibility for raising his children. “I kept all my children, and they are all grown up,” he said. “I now have seven biological children and others I have adopted.”
Kidum’s music career has also faced challenges. While he may not be releasing as much new music as before, he remains active in live performances. “It happens when you’re a celebrity,” he explained. “When you’ve had hits for a long time, it gets to the point where you have no more hits. But the most important thing is to maintain your standard.”
Despite the ups and downs in his life, Kidum Kibido remains a respected musician and a dedicated father. His story is a testament to resilience and the power of love.
