Simon Kabu Returns from Solo Trip, Remains Silent on Sarah Amidst Divorce Proceedings

Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following a solo holiday, pointedly avoiding questions about his wife, Sarah Kabu. This comes amidst ongoing reports of a divorce case and related child custody issues at the Kiambu Law Courts.

Upon landing, Kabu briefly spoke to content creators, confirming that his trip was a solo one. However, when asked about Sarah’s whereabouts, he declined to comment, stating his focus was on the new year and his business ventures. “We are talking about the business we will have in 2025 and wishing people a happy new year,” he said.

This evasive response follows previous reports detailing the Kabus’ impending divorce. Sarah’s lawyers have reportedly sent a letter to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) regarding the ongoing divorce proceedings (Divorce Cause No. MCDC E086 OF 2024 at Kiambu Magistrate Court) and a related children’s case. The letter reportedly stated that continued actions by Kabu could put the children at risk and noted existing gag orders in both cases prohibiting Kabu from public commentary.

In a recent social media post, Sarah referred to Simon as her “ex” and urged the DCI to expedite investigations into her complaints of gender-based violence, alleging she is the target of paid online smear campaigns. She claimed Kabu is leveraging his connections to obstruct justice, stating, “My X is connected everywhere and keeps boasting that I cannot take him anywhere in this country, and I want justice…”

Sarah has previously disclosed that she has moved out of their matrimonial home in Runda, comparing it to “Misri (Egypt), where the Israelites were slaves,” and has showcased her new residence in a high-end Nairobi neighborhood.
