Scheduled Power Outages Across Four Counties- Here’s What You Need to Know

Four counties are in for planned power interruptions on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, for routine maintenance: Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, and Mombasa. Brace yourself for the lights to go out between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Here’s where the outages will hit:

• Nairobi: Runda, Mimosa, Githogoro Slum, and surrounding areas.
• Machakos: Konza Techno City, KoTda, Ola Petrol Station, and parts of Mombasa Road.
• Kajiado: Imara Steel, Zeneth, Majani Bora, Jumbo Tank Masai Rural, Isinya Eggs, and adjacent areas.
• Mombasa: Parts of Kizingo and Likoni Towers, including Nova, Hotpoint, G4S Offices, Frank Ltd, Mama Ngina Complex, Likoni Towers, Aga Khan Academy, Oceanic Apartments, and Seven View Apartments.

Heads up for prepaid users: There’s a temporary glitch affecting M-Pesa for buying electricity tokens. You can use alternative channels like Equitel, Airtel Money, and KCB Bank for now.
