Mugithi artist Samidoh has stirred controversy by presenting a questionable view on men being deceitful in relationships.

Through his social media, Samidoh shared a statement seemingly justifying why men might cheat on the women they love. He expressed that it’s normal for a man to stray, even when he cares deeply for his partner.

As a father of five, Samidoh explained that a man who truly loves a woman may lie to her as a way to protect her feelings. “A man who loves you will always lie to you because he cares about your feelings. He would rather lie to you than hurt your feelings,” Samidoh stated.

In recent years, Samidoh has frequently made headlines due to the turmoil in his love life. The drama began in 2021 when he publicly apologized to his wife, Edday Nderitu, after admitting to an affair that resulted in a child with Karen Nyamu.

Despite the apology, Samidoh rekindled his relationship with Karen Nyamu months later, leading to the birth of a second child, which further upset Edday Nderitu. This prompted Edday to announce her decision to end their 15-year marriage, as she was unwilling to raise her three children in a polygamous setting.

Edday has since moved to the US with their children.
