Samidoh Drops Hint About Potential Boston Move in Prayer Request

Mugithi singer Samidoh became emotional during a church service at JCM along Thika Road on Sunday, August 25. He attended the service for the launch of the Chapati and Mandazi Mashinani forum, a campaign for the flour brand he represents as an ambassador.

Bishop Ben Kiengei of JCM praised Samidoh for his personal growth, saying, “I’m so happy to see you have become levelheaded now,” while encouraging the Kikuyu singer, who was on stage at the time.

Samidoh later shared photos from the event, expressing his gratitude to the Bishop and stating, “Today, I was privileged to fellowship at JCM HQ together with the @raha_premium team. It was an honor to be part of the launch and kickoff of the Chapati and Mandazi Mashinani forum. I am super excited to see a Gospel that is changing people’s lives.”

Bishop Kiengei further remarked, “If you see Samidoh coming to worship at JCM, he now has a good head on his shoulders!” His comment prompted laughter from the audience. During the service, Samidoh also sang several gospel songs, which appeared to be a form of prayer for him.

When asked by the Bishop why he was in church, Samidoh replied that he intended to become more religious and attend church regularly. The Bishop encouraged him, saying, “Come to church and see how good things can be—how well it can work out,” and Samidoh wholeheartedly agreed.

Samidoh humorously added, “God’s timing is best, and it has reached. I will be coming. And please don’t leave me behind; in one or two months, give me a branch, maybe one in Boston,” which drew more laughter from the Bishop.

Bernice Saroni echoed this sentiment on Samidoh’s Instagram page, commenting, “Branch ya Boston ifunguliwe sasa.”
