In a candid message shared on her social media platforms, Akothee’s second-born daughter addressed the issue, expressing how uncomfortable it makes her and her male friends feel when blogs speculate about their relationships.

“I need to address something quickly. I enjoy spending time with my male friends, going on dates, dinners, and clubbing with them. They are my friends, plain and simple,” Rue Baby began.

She clarified that while she may be in the “talking stage” with someone, she is currently not in a committed relationship. Rue emphasized that when she does enter a stable relationship, she will make it public with her partner’s consent.

“Constantly waking up to headlines like ‘Rue’s new boyfriend’ puts my friends in awkward positions. They have to reassure their girlfriends that I’m just a friend,” Rue expressed her frustration.
