Rhoda Maweu, wife of alleged cult leader Paul Mackenzi, released on Sh100,000 bond

Rhoda Maweu, the wife of alleged cult leader Paul Mackenzi, has been released on a Sh100,000 personal bond and an additional Sh500,000 surety.

Maweu had been in detention for 62 days since her arrest on May 2 in connection with the Shakahola deaths.

The Shanzu Magistrate Court ruled that the State had not presented enough evidence to justify her continued detention.
