Rayvanny’s girlfriend says she was worried about their future after he got banned by BASATA

Tanzanian singer Rayvanny’s girlfriend Fahyma ‘Fahyvanny has revealed that Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa’s move to ban Rayvanny and his boss Diamond Platnuzm from performing and recording any music left her disturbed and scared.

Speaking in an interview with a local newspaper, Fahyma said that after Rayvanny was banned for performing “Mwanza”, she was worried how they’ll survive since music is their main source of income.

“Kufungiwa kwa Rayvanny kulikuwa kunanipa mawazo sana maana nilikuwa nawaza maisha yetu yatakuwaje na tulikuwa hatujui msamaha utatoka lini lakini tunashukuru Mungu wamesamehewa na mwisho wa siku maisha mengine yanaendelea, nitaendelea kumhimiza asirudie kosa tena”. she said. 

Ban lifted

Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA), which left the ban just a few days ago, had banned a couple of their songs, particularly the collaboration with Rayvanny titled ‘Mwanza’ which was regarded immoral and not fit for Tanzanians’ consumption.
